Yeah! She's good. She took topics people are uneasy thinking about & created some really good comedy. She & her mom meeting, the guy "writing it out", good jokes, different angle.

I also have dyslexia and had poor eyesight and my parents had no money to get my eyes checked to get glasses so I was made to sit in the back row and was just exnored.
I'm so sorry to hear that. Our youngest has dyslexia & THANK GOD his AMAZING 2nd grade teacher discovered it. We honestly had no idea, it was masked by auditory processing issues. So complex and gets missed so often. I'm so sorry you fell thru the cracks of "the system". Many Blessings. 🙏

I am so sorry for you. I have numerous friends who have been to college to be a reading specialist and none of them were ever taught anything about dyslexia. That is a problem

Her jokes are actually good , they’re funny but it’s her delivery that makes it a little off
Dyslexia, which I also have, is specific to letters only. Dyscalculia, which I do NOT have, is specific to numbers only. They're not the same thing.

I don't know about the rest of her act, but it's refreshing for a female stand-up to talk about things other than dating, sex, how dumb guys are, how irritating their husbands are, etc. Not enough women stand-ups know how to cover a whole world of potential topics for their material other than their sex lives.

Obviously you have never had a loved one with dyslexia because this dear woman is just trying to find humor in the pain that she had to go through growing up in the public school system with dyslexia. My daughter is dyslexic but praise be to God, we homeschooled her and took her to specialized tutors and spent tens of thousands of dollars in order for her to be able to read. She still struggles with numbers and this act would be hilarious for her so shut your trap... Once she was able to read, We did put her in school and she graduated high school with a 4.0 and is now in college with one semester left was a 3.5 or above. Don't make comments about things being funny or not funny when you obviously have no clue about them. Good day

micahjones3695, she took an incredibly difficult childhood and turned it into humor. Uncomfortable? Sure. That’s what good comics do. They look square at the elephant and lay out the coffee service. Are you the one who only laughs if it hurts the girl next to you? If it’s not your taste, scroll on down or hang out with the guys in the middle school bathroom.

There are a lot of people who have to live day-to-day with the different disabilities that you mentioned, and trust me to them, Your act is not funny! I believe this is the first time I’ve given someone a thumbs down on this comedy show.
...and this is the first time I've given a dry bar commenter (Yes, YOU @margaretcarter1288) a thumbs down. The comedian was hilarious - don't blame her if YOU don't get it!

Very funny and I can relate to everything she said except the hair cut style and yes, my mother did cut my hair too. After I graduated sixth grade I asked for a flat top haircut and I got one. I even remember putting some pink sticky paste on my hair to keep it standing up. I'm just glad it didn't turn my hair pink. 😊🧓
