*Important updates below*
*Note* 23:55 the observers on the bottom right piston tower should be on the slime/honey, not next to the tower of pistons:) its not an issue though, since they'll get picked up once that piston wall activates.
*Note 2:* 39:29 you'll have a block left over above the glazed terracotta, next to your comparator. this is intended and how the farm is supposed to be. this only happens on mangrove mode and doesn't affect anything! The proper activation is at 1:46
*note 3:* 36:06 you need a button under the leftmost part of these walls, it should be right above a piece of redstone. this will stop branches/logs from generating and cutting the redstone line. Do this for the front/left/right walls.

I just finished building it! It works great and I don’t know if it glitched but I got a bee hive with the mangrove mode. this is by far one of the best tree farms I have ever made, thank you so much for all the great tutorials!
In case anyone's wondering, you need at minimum a 50×60 area to build the entire farm. The chunk middle is NOT in the middle of this buld area! I recommend the world download and looking at it for yourself, it makes it much easier to figure out where to put in your world
Were you able to get it working? I can't check the world download but I have triple checked everything and my right wall just doesn't work. Individually they all work but as soon as I link in the right wall things get pushed and pulled where they aren't supposed to. Wondering if I'm missing something or if it's not properly working anymore.
@rebeccavliet2011 to be honest, I am STILL getting the materials for it.... the amount of redstone this needs is ungodly lol
But the one in the world download worked fine! And that is the one Silent showed case in the video... sorry I wasn't able to help further 😞

@rebeccavliet2011 hey update: I did finished it this past week and so far all walls work perfectly... the only thing not working as intended for me is the propagule farm. Ai have to manually turn it on and off, but the actual tree farm of it works
You guys did it! I started working on a design a while ago but just got frustrated with it and never went back to it. My first design was going to use a large water pit below the grow area so that you could only grow the mangroves at max height, however that method just seemed to use way too much bonemeal. If bonemeal would of grown it every time we wouldn't of needed to deal with the roots at all. Only the top part of the tree would of needed to be harvested. Again Great Job!!!
Congrats on figuring out the design for this, I remember that stream where you were brainstorming how to farm the mangrove trees but the roots kept getting in the way
hey i had a question and would be very grateful if you and/or anyone helps me out... Can you please tell me in which version of the game is going/ has all the villager changes that were announced ? Not talking about experimental mode or in betas.. Just purely in game
@@RagNPlayz Its in the betas at the moment so you have to turn them on in the settings
@@RagNPlayzthe villager changes were temporarily scrapped in favor of continued development of new features. They might look back to the villager changes after the release of 1.21
Just built this and works like a charm
some notes
1. 18:45 make sure there's bonemeal in both dispensers
2. 18:57 he placed 3 dispencers but there should be 2 droppers (facing upwards) then 1 dispenser (facing towards the side as shown in the video)
3. 23:53 you will notice that in the right piston wall, the observers are on sticky piston instead of slime and honey but its fine either way, as he mentioned this in the pinned comment
4. idk why but everytime it turns day the farm clocks so if its night time and im far away from the farm (like 5-6 chunk away) then i sleep it will clock and break the farm. so make sure to create a backup:)

18:57 make sure there's 2 dropper and one dispenser
Make a small Propagule farm then put some Propagules in the dispenser then turn on Propagule dispenser then it should be working
Or you can just have a lot of Propagules in your inventory from the farm, id recommend building the JC's mangrove Propagules farm

@@josephdavies713 there isn't one. It's because of the daylight sensors. It will not work without them. Just need to be mindful of it

I build this farm in my survival world and it works just fine. I can finally farm almost every wood type I need (which is 90% oak), without destroying an entire forest in my world. I wanted to build a tree farm like one year and I finally build it. Great design, thanks!

@silentwisperer at 29:58, you add two redstone to the tops of the blocks in front of the 4 tick and 2 tick repeater. The world download only has it on the block in front of the 4 tick (left one when looking at the blocks from the repeaters) This breaks the timing of the walls and causes the pistons to get stuck to the redstone and get pulled out of place.
Thank you . This fixed the problem I was having. I also removed the redstone on the other 2 sides. Hopefully that will also fix any future problems .

I think my farm has the same problem . It works at first but after a few trees it completely breaks and some pistons get pushed/pulled by some other pistons
I did what you said (I removed one of the redstone dusts) but it still breaks 😕
Do you have any suggestions on how I can fix it?
@@ryanmch2133you need to remove the same piece of redstone on the other sides where you have the same configuration
My back wall and left wall keep getting messed up, pistons get messed up and honey blocks get messed up when doing the final test with the gold blocks. Gold gets pushed into the middle of the right wall, displacing the terracotta and observer behind it.

If you're building this in Survival, be *very* sure that you don't leave any temporary blocks you've used while building. I relied heavily on dirt blocks to help me scaffold and place the live blocks, but I ended up leaving 3 total pieces of dirt in the piston walls. I could not figure out why just two of my walls would break after a few runs, after triple checking all of the wiring and even rebuilding the brain. Removed those three dirt blocks, and not a single failure since.

We got it! At our survival server it took a day to collectively gather materials and then 3 days of building. Out of that 2 hours of troubleshooting and finding the ONE missing block that prevented double cycle! This refreshed the server and everyone was fond of this big project. It produced some 9 stacks of mangrove logs before one side broke. I suspect it does not like lag. Take it easy on the planting speed. Thanks for the tutorial. Incredible work. Watching this operate is absolutely mesmerising. I love it.
I built it in singleplayer correctly in one shot, now I just need stacks of pistons for cubers 😅
Do you know what section of the red stone is for the double cycle I’m having the same problem
@@krisgosney117 easiest to go to spectator and follow the circuit from the left lever. It ends in a piston that when extended closes the double action circuit (many repeaters for delay)

I started with te 2x2 spruce farm and had to do it twice over before I got it to work. Once i figured out the different redstone circuits it was easyer. It was my first ever big complicated farm. Would not recommend to start there hahaha, took me ages and rages. By now i've built every big farm you made a tutorial for at least once and can't wait to build this one in my recently started villager-nerf world. It shall be built in the new mangrove district!

Love there elaborate tutorials about large scale farms! I realise this takes you a lot of effort, but big thumbs up! There farms are actually very useful for our realm which we have pretty much everything on (including illegal blocks like water, portal blocks etc). i’ve been getting into bedrock so that i can play on my phone while im working, or out away from my pc and it’s pretty insane to me the differences between java (i have about 3k hours) and bedrock, your videos have been essential in teaching me various mechanics from breeding to iron, and i can’t thank you enough!

I'm probably going to dread and postpone to build it as long as I did the huge (older) raid farm. Fortunately this one doesn't require villagers, so I'll probably get around to it sooner.
Finally had the courage to build it. Took me a few hours AFK-ing at my witch, iron and stone farms and chopped down a few forests to get all the resources, but after building it for a few hours everything worked like a charm!
I did cheat a little bit by first only building the back cuber to do the rest of the wood farming, before building the other 3.
Thanks for another great build Silent! Just built this on my SMP, and I'm having an issue with the left wall. The upper half keeps getting stuck out in a weird place. I've been troubleshooting for hours but still haven't figured it out. I'll keep at it. edit: It was one piston out of place. xD
There's also a few inconsistencies in the video to note.
19:00 you say dropper and place a dispenser, checked the world download it is in fact a dropper.
At 13:25 there's a block to prevent canoodling. At 18:28 this block has been removed. This block is required for the walls to double fire properly in mangrove mode.

So far, it's only experimental. It isn't confirmed to be in the current update or the next. For now, until further announcement, it might not end up being implemented at all for all we know, though the chances of that are slim.

Edit: Unfortunate for me, my back piston wall pull the left redstone wall out when Im testing the Plus sign. I rebuild the back and left section, check the timing still same result😞. Probably because of lag. This happen if I flick OFF the left bottom lever, but works if I flick the lever ON, nothing messed up. I had to stop the build. Cannot take the risk anymore. Have to save some materials.
Well, I have to go back to manual farm then.😂

Undeniably awesome tree farm, but gotta admit, half the time while watching I was thinking, "yes... but what does it mean?? Why??"
I think this farm in particular (not to mention a few others you've done) would be a perfect opportunity to get into the advanced workings of bedrock redstone. I totally understand, for brevity's sake, doing the "it works, just trust me!" But, I honestly would've been fine watching a 3hr video if it explained why everything is done the way it is.
How about a series about reverse engineering these mega farms to fundamentally explain how and why they work? Clocks, latches, flipflops, multiplexers, timings.. there's so much you can teach your audience. I know for a fact that my kids (myself as well) would love it.
Yes, it's been done before, but majority of it is for java, or only shows the absolute beginner basics. Plus, the way you explain things would make it plenty fun and entertaining.

I see where you are heading with this. We've built this and I had to go in spectator mode through all the lines several times in the tutorial world, to figure out what these do and why mangrove mode does not work in our build. This troubleshooting will push you to get understanding of the circuits. Still, I would personally enjoy more of advanced redstone videos as per your suggestion.
built this in my survival world and for some reason every few trees some of the stick pistons that pull the logs so they get pushed towards the cubers will get stuck out and pushed by the pistons any idea how to fix this as almost 100 percent positive timings are all right

Hey Silent Is There Any Good Biomes I Should Build This Farm In?? Also I Plan On Building the farm Not Sure When But Soon Though!
Probably just avoid plains biomes cause of beehives on oak trees:)
If you want max birch, you could build this farm in an old growth birch forest and then you would also get some taller birch trees. Otherwise like Silent said avoid plains, beehives are great at breaking tree farms. My workaround for the beehives is that I typically only use an azalea tree farm if I want oak.
silent I just made your farm but it breaks on one side and everything is perfect, the repeaters, comparators and it is connected to the letter even the ticks of the repeaters are correct, could you help me with that problem please

Mangrove trees are moving pistons, slime and honey blocks around from the walls anytime I use them. I can get a few grown before it starts messing up
Having the same issue only on the back wall of pistons, have double checked everything and it still looks good so I’m hoping for a solution soon

I encountered a problem while planting mangrove trees. When planted, the piston wall will repeat as much as 3x which should only be 2x and cause the left piston wall to fall apart. Does anyone have a solution? I tried rebuilding but still having the same issue
Did you ever find a solution to this I'm having I think the same issue?... The left wall just gets all wonky I've literally been checking it over and over all day checked all the Redstone and everything all day. Everything else works but I'm really confused by what's causing the issue

Here’s a farm, place blocks down and have a piston push them out so you can just place it with auto clicker, this is THE most lazy thing possible but it works

I have spent the last week building farms to gather the materials for this build (4 failed slime farms lol), 5 nights wasted AFK at uncorking farms. Keep in mind I have a full time job so it was only hours in the evenings and night time! As of writing this comment, I have finished the farm and it work perfectly. Thank you so much for this farm Silent. I cannot believe we have a universal tree farm on bedrock! Maybe someday we will get 100% TNT drops like Java edition and the cubers can be replaced with blast chambers!!!

Love the farms, built the dark oak tree farm and finished the core of this one but I noticed a few things. I ended up using about an extra stack of red stone and half a stack of solid blocks and a few left over pieces. The resources itself is easy to get but I can’t help but worry I messed up by placing too many or too few etc. I worry due to farms like these being so advanced a wrong step can implode it
5 hours!! But I finally finished it, thank you silent, you are the best in farms of all Minecraft bedrock that goes with everything Minecraft you are the best Minecraft player and the most technical I would like to be the same

yeah if you build it in a plains biome you can get the bee nests, kinda annoying haha

37.46 this was what left me confused for hours. There should be a block above the redstone at the intersection. He does tell you earlier in the video but its not there at that point. Which made me think I needed to get rid of it. Also he has slabs above the observer he was placing which confused me also as couldn't work out what was wrong. So happy I got it working in the end.

I finished building yesterday, it works for spruce, birch, oak, jungle Acacia I guess (didn't test) and Mangrove kind of worked, but it didn't 2 cycle. When I was testing it all, it did 2 cycle, but now there are a lot of logs left that block other mangrove trees from growing. The propagule farm doesn't work for me, so I just added a small propagule farm next to the farm. I will do some more testing in a creative copy later, but this farm is still really cool. Thank you so much! I appreciate the effort you put into this!
Edit: I now got it to work after some testing! I just have to manually remove one log on mangrove mode, as it always gets stuck in the middle and blocks other trees from growing. Acacia works fantastically. Everything works, except for the propagule farm.

For the prop farm to work - make sure there is bonemeal in both the top and bottom dispensers

Ok, keep in mind that I have the exact same set of starting conditions each time I try to test it. I always make a copy of the same world and use that to test the build. every time it activates with the gold plus sign, it breaks in a new way. Sometimes it can take 3 gold plus signs before breaking, sometimes it breaks the first try. each time it breaks, it is always in the lower 4 slime block/honey block piston machines in the left piston wall. I don’t know why it breaks differently every single time, with the same exact starting conditions. I have no idea what is happening, and i have triple checked all of the redstone for the left piston wall.
Ok ok ok this is an amazing build my hat goes off to you for this. Truly a masterpiece. I have one question though. Around 22:00 you said piston here here here and here… is it one two spaces above the hoppers and which hopper. I have to stop here but seriously an amazing build
Hi! I love your videos, and this tree farm seems really promising! I just wanted to ask if this farm produces a lot of lag, and if so, how can I minimalize it?
shouldn't be much lag unless you are on a lower end device:) even then just dont look at the piston walls and you should be fine
