      thanks my friend, so very happy you enjoyed it and stopped by to check it out. People hit dislike sometimes because they hate life, so they try to make others as upset as they are, what they don't realize is a like and a dislike are both great for the algorithm, it shows up as interaction, youtube loves that, so either way it makes me happy, while I prefer the likes, a dislike works too haha. @@ThisBytesForYou Aha, already a subscriber :D Met you through the Sapphire RX 6700 XT Nitro+ review (sick ARGB audio visualization btw).
      It's been a good 10 years since I built my last PC (I was very active in the PC building scene back then): a Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 1GB system to run games at that time. (4GB DDR3 RAM + AMD 810 4x CPU) Things were simpler and less expensive than today parts. Intel was at the top of its game, but I liked AMD more for some reason (I still do lol).
      Nowadays, I'm not a gamer. I want a system capable for work purposes (Adobe stuff), while also being able to run games at 30-60 FPS. Probably a 3080ti GameRock (3080 is becoming more expensive day after day, almost catching up with 3080ti, thus why I chose 3080ti), a 3070ti GameRock, or an RX 6700 XT Nitro+ (very different cards and prices I know lol).

    • @ThisBytesForYou
      @ThisBytesForYou  3 года назад +2

      awesome my friend, thank you so much as well, so happy to have you here and know that I have helped you.
      Yeah, I have been building almost since the beginning, since before the internet, hahah so that's why I started this channel so people wouldn't have to go through the expensive mistakes I went through as a kid.
      Well, prior to Covid and miners/scalpers, prices were actually cheaper than prior to 10 years ago because things were being more normal, but then disaster struck and prices went through the roof on everything, including pc stuff. Some say things will come back to normal soon... I don't know that they ever will, I hope they do, but now that companies see people are paying as much as they do.... why would they go back? The market will take years to re-regulate itself, one company starts selling things honestly again, others will follow, but it won't be immediate. This is horrible, but is a part of life, I soooo hope I am wrong though.

      @@ThisBytesForYou No problem, my man. It's an honor :D
      My father was also a PC builder. Guess I got the trait from him lol
      At some point, I'll have to bite the bullet and buy from a scalper I think. Need a system for work, and the price gap between the Graphics Cards sort of push me to go for the better one (RX 6700 XT to 3070ti is like 214 USD, then an RTX 3080 is about 321 USD and is rising towards 3080ti pricing while 3080ti prices are dropping in a sinusoidal fashion lol). I want the system to be able to game too. Stalker 2 is coming up soon.
      I have heard that Zotac is selling 3080ti Trinity for more than a 3090 MSRP. It'll surely pay for itself, with work and the joy I get from gaming, it's just that a thing that could've been done in 6 months is now going to take 12ish months. I suspect by that time the 30 series is going to be overshadowed by the 40 series, which might be a good or a bad thing.

    Greetings Sir Iggy. Can we consider vertically mounting as another solution for sag?

    • @ThisBytesForYou
      @ThisBytesForYou  Год назад +1

      hey buddy, yes, it is almost impossible for cards to vertically sag but I am not a fan of vertical mounting. With vapor chambers, orientation of the fans and over all testing was done with the cards vertical, maybe within the past year or 2 or 3 vertical testing and design has been done, but they were not designed for it.
      To add, clearance in cases and cooling were not designed for it, cases still don't account for it well but they are getting much better.
      Also, vertical mounting removes the possibility to add a full height card, though the need for additional cards is almost zero. Specialized tasks need cards, audiophiles, hardware RAID, TV Tuners, M.2 Expansion cards and such, motherboards can do most of these, but specialized cards do it just that much better, for those that need it which is rare really. Sorry, I rant sometimes ;)
