This explains why the DFAM and the Lyra 8 are my favourite synths. You never really know what your'e going to get. I always play by ear with these two and love the happy accidents you get. Love the way I have an idea and these synths just F everything up and come up with something amazing every time, if you persevere that is. That said I really appreciate these vids you do and they really help me understand just what the bloomin' hell is going on inside these wonderful boxes. Keep them coming Ethan and thank you so much, you always blow me away with your knowledge and great explanation. Big up from the U.K.. 👍
thank you so much! I got into analog synthesis due to the fact that these instruments are "alive" and have their own personalities, so I'm glad you feel that way too.
Hi, would you consider doin some Tutorials on how to navigate the DFAM and Subharmonicon via Mother 32. Using the Mother as primary tool via Midi and trigger the other 2 Babys via CV. thx.
I don't currently have a Mother 32, but if/when I get one, I'll be happy to do a series. My next plan is a Eurorack Basics course that walks through how things can go together, so that may answer your questions.
@@EthanJamesMusic1 thats definitely helpful. It would be Even nicer if you do it via „Softube modular / Reaktor modular“ and Ableton Cv Tools. Sure lot of people are interested. Because everyone Wants to record it synced into a DAW. And Most have NI.
Very nice ! This was Tuning for dummys - Part 1 - the Basics. Now please Continue the Series … how to tune the whole sequence from for instance a Softube modular Patch / sequence That is set to Dmin scale and i want the Moog to follow along all the notes. Or from an ORBS midi pattern That includes different notes in a scale 🙏. Or is it enough to tune it to the First Note in the sequence ? And the others are in Right Tuning based on the First 🤔.
Thank you so much ! Always happy to see a new video showing up !
thank you!

Cool! I like to play with both of them in parallel, sometimes connected

yes, you just have to get the first note in the sequence in tune. After that, the external sequencer will take care of the rest
