Great video Omri! Leo did a great job on this plugin! Good to see so many new and exciting additions to VCV. I been a way for a while, but can happily say that my new studio will be finished soon. Looking forward to get back into VCV! Cheers
This is the most useful video I have seen about subtractive synthesis! What a thoughtful set of examples - with extremely helpful explanations and lots of language to help learn the options and techniques of each example. Thank you for making this!
Great video Omri. I downloaded these earlier and had a play about with them and my, don't they sound gorgeous! Leonardo has done a wonderful job with these and you've given us some tremendous tips here... Cheers!
@@OmriCohen-Music after 35 years of ‘normalised’ synth time, since discovering VCV and your tutorials a couple of years ago, I have been inspired again.
Thanks for this Omri. You've given me all sorts of ideas to try with my hardware Dotcom and I never dreamed of having a virtual one as well 😅 It's great that I can try some modules that I don't have yet, with eight spaces to fill in my current case set up, this will be most useful too. I love the Gate Math for running my Q119 and eurorack sequencers at different rates, especially odd timings. Inspired and going to have a play, thanks 😁
@OmriCohen-Music I've not fully explored my Gate Math yet, but now I can experiment on my laptop when I'm not at home 😁 It's so much more than divide and multiply with its four programmable outputs, with sequence, random...drum pattern. Have fun.
It's interesting to try the same things with different modules, just to freshen things up a bit. SurgeXT and this collection are quite different, though.
Omri, I directly downloaded them. Nice fat bass is what I like the most. I have them in Voltage Modular but would love to have the Behringer System 100 Modules in VCV Rack And while I'm on it, the addition of the VM2500 (ARP 2500) to VCV Rack would be great. I like them in the Voltage Modular
Excellent overview, and another nice collection. I'm not sure why the filter bank doesn't have CV inputs in the hardware (I realise the modelling just sticks to hardware features). I can't see it being that useful without the ability to modulate it. Lucky we have Stoermelder in VCV! I've used the same trick with the Bogaudio FFB, sounds great with delay if you put the delay before the FFB, you get a phasey, dubby delay sound. I'll have to see how this compares. 👍
The fixed filter bank (hardware) is based on the Moog 914 from 1966. I remember reading somewhere that it was requested to Moog by Wendy Carlos (I don't remember the source). Back then, making it CV controllable would make the hardware twice as big. The DotCom guys have an expander that outputs the individual outputs which can be passed to VCAs. But in any case, having CV control on each band requires a lot of space and cables.
@@Vult-DSP thanks Lenonardo, I wondered if it was something like that. Great job modelling these by the way! Do you think you'll ever add the expander in VCV? Might be useful just to modulate it polyphonically. Cheers!
make sure you are using the correct output and that the sequence is set to more than 4 steps. If the behavior does not match what's on the manual and you think it is a bug, please provide me as much information as possible to reproduce it and fix it.
I can't believe these modules are free, Vult is an amazing developer!
This is a beautiful collection - Dr Ruiz did an amazing job as always.
Great techniques as always, cheers!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Super good crash course in classic East Coast synthesis. They should show this video in music class, it's a great overview!
Thank you!

So good, thanks Omri! Now we need the focused video on the Gate Math, woohoo.

Thank you Omri. Have a nice weekend !
Thank you! You too!
amazing how many of these beginner-friendly techniques that I've never tried.. . . thanks Omri!
Glad it was helpful!
the sounds are beautiful!
Great tutorial as always Omri, thank you!

@@jasefosTV thank you so much
i learned so much from your tutorials bought your book its great !
Thanks so much!
Excellent additions to VCV.
Have loved the vibe of the hardware modules for years. To see them in Rack, and from Vult, has me wanting to jump right in and use them. =D
Awesome video and modular techniques, thanks Omri.
Glad you liked it!
Cheers Omri, that's a great set of modules! I'll check these out today
you are the best man, thank you so much
Wow. These modules sound great!
Thank you.
nice sound! polyphonic amazing. reverb is life)
That feels like a really lovely sounding filter - I'll have to give it a try!
Legendary modules ❤
Brilliant; thanks Omri 😊
Glad you liked it!
Thank you!
Need to try this. So surprised it is free?
Although way over my head it looks AMAZING

Thanks so much! I hope to explore these modules more in the future. Especially the sequencer and the Gate Math.

Oh Yeah !
I like this video because he does a lot with just a few modules. It gets confusing when there's too much stuff going on
Any reason why would you use that over stock or Surge? Oversampling, different filter design, polyphony?

Can’t wait to jump in and see what sort of noises I can make 😂
Is this demo available on your Patreon to download like your other demos?
Well, nothing here is really complex, so I didn't save the results...
My Sequential Controller provides pitch value changes ONLY for the first 4 attenuators (1, 2, 3, 4) in -5/+5 mode. What the hell?

😍
today I learned why it's called lowpass and high pass filters...fucking 32 years to figure that out.
Moogish 😂
Awesome synth design 101 class.
