Not sure if anyone has mentioned this in the other comments but tou come across as though the cough you had was due to high altitude pulmonary oedema, a potentially fatal condition. Slow acclimatisation would help. Also there are medications that cam ne used to try and help reduce incidence of occurrence. Stay safe out there!
Breathtaking adventure, great video. Morocco is an incredible destination for such a ride. Would you recommend aero bars on an MTB? Doing an ultra in Spain later this spring. Well done to everyone!
Hey Josh, fair play for riding through that hooky chest!! You did amazing 💪🏁 Can I ask, I saw in one of your vids you using a really good bike travel case? I mailed the company about it, but they didn’t get back to me, but now I can’t remember which brand it was to follow it up ? We want to get two for gravel Sweden later in the year. Looking for one that we don’t have to take the bars off! Thanks Myles
Josh, is this the only race/place where you get sick? It happened last year too right? Maybe show up a few weeks early next year, to get exposed/acclimated to the place before the race? Go tour the course first before racing it? Just suggestions.

Josh I struggled watching you push through while sick. I hope you can recover from this and continue your adventures. Take care!
Another well done video. Congratulations on your race. Your one tough cookie to ride thru that cold. Thanks for the video and take care, Al

Nice, I’m equally scared and excited for next week!
Enjoy it. The route is amazing.
I feel broken and I'm coughing up blood. It's 300k to the next checkpoint. I think I'll just push on and see what happens! Epic ride thru adversity!

Aerobars on a MTB bike are great, comfortable and make you ride faster, even though they weigh a little bit
You always seem to be eating in these vids!

This was last years race. Definitely a good idea to go out much earlier to acclimatise better.

Pulmonary edema is nothing to cough at.
Wow❤💪
