I used to make steamed syrup sponge for my Dad, (my grandmother was English) and then later in life I made it for my family, but haven't made one for years. I think it's about time I made one again. Brings back such wonderful memories. ❤️
Loving all these videos and recipes, but must shout-out the interior designers/set design team - such a stunning backdrop and beautiful palette for Nigella to bring to life!
So good to have you on RUclips again, Nigella!! I've got people coming over for diner this Sunday, and I'm making your chicken cacciatora with pea mint avocado salad on the side (minus the avo, because cost of living etc. 😁, still tastes really good though). Your older cookbooks are still going strong over here! Especially the Express one. 😊👍
Now I know I won't go to bed before having something sweet 🙄 its an urgent situation 😋😋 wow .. Nigella your recipes are driving me crazy 😍😍 I can't describe my craving for tasting such lovely mouthwatering recipe ❤❤❤ thank you so much 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks a lot for sharing this great informative video. You are a very sweet, very special, very talented, very beautiful, wonderful God-given gorgeous woman and your talents are outstanding. Your all recipes and your cooking n baking skills are amazing. I wish you lots of success and happiness in all areas of your life, you are the best of the best may God bless you with the best, be blessed 😊 be happy 🙂
Golden syrup isn’t commonly found in the USA, We have to search it out (usually at a Brit supply shop), or buy it on line. Looks like I need a can ;)) ill serve it up with custard if I can find birds online too 😹
I've never understood why people call a steamed syrup pud "heavy" and "stodgy". If your pud is either of those things you've messed up. They're light as a feather made properly, if very rich. And so warming on a cold night. And I'm kinda fond of them cold too, eaten like cake 😂
Yep, I wonder what she'd look like in a bikini. She should do a show dressed in one. A red one. I bet she'd get lots of views if she did. I know I'd be watching all the time if she did.

i say make one 🤪🙃😜
I love your channel, you break all the rules and remind us to enjoy the simple pleasures in life!
Nigella really does call it the You-Know-What now.
She calls it the micro-waveah but people think she's not being funny when she says it and I dunno, the internet is weird.
she got more scandal for her pronunciation of that word than the people who showed up on the Jeffery Epstein list! She has learned her lesson!
@@nixboox the internet finds it amusing and nobody's hating on her
She could read the phone book and I would watch and listen avidly
Not the "you know what" 💀😂
Stunning as always Nigella😊but why wasn't "mee-crow-wha-vay" said😭🙈
I have grown up watching you❤. You are such an inspiration ❤️🌹
Oh Nigella! You've done it again... Fabulous! ❤❤❤

Nigeria your a brilliant chef
I've got cooking programme's on my RUclips channel now. Because I'm getting a bit old, to look cool now.
Doesn't take too long in the pressure cooker. My favourite is the slow cooker though so doesn't get in the way of preparing and eating the main meal.
How long do you leave it in the pressure cooker?
