A great piece of equipment that Hanna has introduced into the market with accurate results. I agree that testing is so much easier with minimal effort.
Also, I always set a timer as well; but I wish they updated it to display the last reading when you first turn it on. I also wish they’d lower cost since it seems like the technology across checkers would be very similar, therefore I’d eventually expect their cost of new tests to go down since R&D costs should be reduced
i wish hannah just had the press button trigger the 7min timer. its so annoying that their testers all work differently. they should be aiming for a uniform experience across the board.
Its so weird because I have the old checker and its garbage with 47 steps, filters, 10 reagents and a jackhammer required. I kept seeing people recommending the hanna checker for nitrates and I was like huh? Found this video and see its a whole new checker. Just bought it.
Still a chore, is there a tester who can monitore levels like a ph meter ? it's a pita to buy drops or reagent (1$ per test seriously???) and play with them....

Love using this, so much better than trying to tell the difference between shades of purple/pink.

@@ManiacalMangoes Totally agree with everything you said Matt! And a great name to boot!

I agree wholeheartedly!

Great job. Clear and simple with helpful tips.
A question is posible to use tris even when you have Low nítrate lével ? Because is easier
Than Low range One
What is safe nitrate level for marine fish? Like highest it can go to keep Healthy fish
Would be nice if they included a card telling you what the readings mean. So it gives you a number, then what?
Doesn’t the little pill used in the auto mixer interfere with hanna readings?
Can these be used for fresh water aquarium testing?
I don't believe so

What is different from Hanna Nitrate LR Checker?
47 steps, no filter, 6 syringes and 9 reagents.
What's a bad reading and healthy reading with this tester??
Any nitrates above 5 ppm
Is the low range any difference for the process
Yes! The LR requires almost 30 mins and a million steps (exaggerated :P) before you get a reading.
@@petert2041 oh lord okay good thing I was thinking of getting one from a reefer used
It is way, way harder, and takes way, way longer!
Anyone else have their phone set a 7 minute timer when he asked Siri?
OMG John, when I was editing this video my phone kept going off! I had to move my phone to the other room!
😂
@@matthewbrstv38 Lol..
I’ve been doing that for years with the 3 min timer with the phosphate checker
Really expensive with time... nah
