      And no disrespect to Taika Waititi, but Thor: Ragnarok could have been directed by everyone.

      @@karlkarlos3545 I respectfully disagree. "anybody can direct thor" is exactly the mentality that made the previous thor movies mediocre. Taika changed the game for them with HIS approach.

    This is all great stuff, but I'm amazed you didn't mention Spaced. His comedic use of cinematic action sound taken to the extreme for mundane things was tied to the way the show spoofed blockbuster movies. I expected Hot Fuzz to be entirely spoof, but it was so much more. It made me realise that Wright's so good at utilising those techniques that he achieves not only the comedic effect, but the original intended effect also, and more. Everything he does, I find wildly entertaining. Watching his films gives me the same kind of joy as watching Road Runner cartoons as a kid.

    I dont find this style of cinema to be any more entertaining, personally. I think much of these examples of sound effects are beyond complimentary. Some of these are excessive to the point it's goofy- which may or may not be what you're going for
