(Edit: 5/28) To all you butthurt children who are offended at my numbers, those are just what I average when driving. I always get better efficiency on the highway because of constant stops and accelerations in the city. That’s just me though, and depending on the incline of a road and amount of traffic, I can get up to 59 mpg in the city too.

Road noise? WTF you on about homie you heard the noise mustangs and pickups make?! I ride a bike to work and those are the worst. At least motorcycle riders have the balls to ride something that will kill them doing what they love not like the insecure kids riding mustangs so they can hear themselves speed from one stoplight to the other. Kia souls show the claustrophobia problem is bullshit. I have never been more comfortable than in a Kia soul since you can see EVERYTHING. It's a literal glass box that you can turn your head to see everything from the blind spot to the back of the car. They're so small they fit on the smallest of parking spaces. Smalls cars are the goat. I miss station wagons, they got replaced by huge ugly SUV monstrosities.

I dont think some people realize how crazy efficient 200HP getting 57 mpg is. After market mods such as Turbo will only bring it down to 30mpg at worst which is still good at that point if you're doing performance mods.

Toyota is the best car company in my opinion and I will stand on that. Holds amazing resale value, extremely reliable, innovative, reasonably priced, etc. Oh and they actually learn from their mistakes and change it immediately.
Went from a mustang gt to a new 2015 Prius, 8 years later it refuses to die. Drives and looks like day one. Only changed tires, brakes, oil and two wheel bearings. That’s it. 230,000 miles. The best!! And I drive it like a mustang! 😃

Prius is not fancy. But, for someone on a budget that does not want to go broke paying for fuel, its a great option. Plus, Toyota makes it. You can always trust in Toyota to make a solid and reliable vehicle.
Hybrids make so much more sense than an EV. Drove a PHEV CX-9 while our CX-5 was in the shop and liked it a lot. Too big of a vehicle for me but if they come out with a hybrid CX-5 I'd be taking a test drive.
Ya sleeping on Priuses. My first Prius held me through financially when I just finished college. I drove it through crazy snow storms, terrible roads and never had any issues. This new Prius is nice AF!

And I feel like any hybrid vehicle losses points in general purely because it doesn’t keep up with the speed of some FEV’s (Tesla), or the torque and versatility of diesel/gas powered vehicles. Ultimately I think that if we lined up all the hybrid vehicles in the market now, this Prius is a contender for top score.

Recently test drove one of these new ones. The features are nice, but, the driving experience is sadly ruined by the loud engine noise. You can really here it from the cabin.
Toyota FINALLY built a hybrid that’s fairly appealing. Been too long the Prius was the dork-mobile on the road. I’m a car audio installer, so I’m in PLENTY of different cars and this may sound odd, but most 1st and 2nd gen Priuses even smelled funny. Almost like a weird hospital smell. I dunno, it was weird. I’m glad they fully revamped them.
