Ive just discovered Hacker T Dog. Now I have to learn everything there is to know about him. He’s a brilliantly entertaining and adorable character.
Major awesomeness! Phil is an amazing builder, designer and performer, seen a lot of his content, so glad he was on the show.

Just came to this interview after looking up some early 2000s CBBC games and going down the RUclips rabbithole.
I was always really interested in how the post reboot versions of CBBC worked with the behind the scenes and especially puppeteering. Only like 10 mins in but I actually assumed Hacker just at some point developed into having a voice and didn't know it was someone else on Scoop, it's never a show I really got into but I still remember watching a couple of episodes probably when it was on a repeat.
There were definitely shows on when I was much younger than featured puppets or elements of puppeteering, but it's so cool to look on now as an adult as well and I'd love to learn more about ... Well everything 🤣

One of the things I love about Puppet Tears is you guys bring on folks I've never heard of that I immediately become a fan of! Watched Hackers blooper reel, and you can't get any funnier than live improv! Phil Fletcher is hilarious himself too! I'd almost compare him to Randy Feltface if he was a real person!
I love the fact that Wilf the old man's mouth only the bottom moves. Awesome! Wish I had plans to make something like that for my puppet music videos. Haven't made a puppet for that reason. Don't like when the top of the mouth moves. Great stuff. Funny guy that Phil.

I absolutely loved this interview honestly amazing 😁 I was lucky enough to see a great puppet character stream on twitch over the last few years and seeing these interviews with Phil I've just ordered a couple different types of used puppets on eBay. I have absolutely no idea if I'll ever invest the time into it especially because I'm pretty awkward with performing and talking, but yeah just wanted to say thanks to you all really ☺️

Hi Phil, love hacker very much.. But was he named after "Spit" the dog?? Because "hacking" is a similar word to "spit".. Thanks for all the laughs.
I think I can explain this. Hacker first started in a CBBC sitcom called Scoop! about a journalist and his dog. i would hazard to guess Hacker is after the word 'Hack' as in a journalist doing menial work. Again, speculation on my part.

With respect, Phil is SO wasted on these guys…. I don’t think they understand him and his creations…. Their questions/interactions feels a bit…. Awkward to me. Just my opinion cocker!
They are coming from a very different place but I love the way they appreciate his talent and artistry & they let him flow.
I reckon it'd be really hard for anyone who's not British to really get Phil. If they know who Sue Barker is, they might have a chance cocker!
