How is the Wahl Senior Cordless 5 Star for beards? I just bought one for home use on my beard. I also bought the metal clip guides with all sizes. Do you think that was overkill?

Started with a Wahl Super Taper that was soon replaced by the 5 Star Senior. I mostly only use it with the nr 2 guard so I am replacing it for the main cutting with an Oster 97-44 with nr 2 blade and using the Wahl with guards for anything longer or shorter. Overkill for somebody that only cuts his own hair, I know...

Good video bro. Ive been fading my hair the last few weeks using an old set of wahl clippers. Trying to decide of either purchasing the corded 5 star seniors , the wahl chrome or the wahl elite pro. Which clippers are best for fading your own hair?
I like the seniors. But I think it’ll be personal preference

I don’t get the point of the 5 star Corded seniors, the cheaper 5 star magic corded clippers Have the same motor and blade. So what’s the point of a corded 5 star senior then?

Can the Magic Clip cordless attachment combs also be used for senior citizens? Got Magic Clip cordless but also ordered the senior and found out that senior only 3 attachable combs are thanks and greetings

The previous 5 star Seniors turn off abruptly when battery is low. Leaning towards the older version over the magic clips, but can you buy the different blades separately such as the staggered magic clip ones (Wahl or no name) or do you need to buy the magic clip to get the staggered blade?
You can change the blade fairly easy. If it fits it works

Hey boss my new cordless seniors sound like they have more power when plugged in. Is this normal or should it sound the same when running off the battery power?
Alexpaz1224 that sounds about right bro. Mine sound stronger plugged in or right off the charger. After I use em or take em off they automatically sound weaker

can i put my magic clip blades on it? i got a new ceramic blade and the other one is already worn in so it’s more gentle

whats the difference between this and the wahl senior? I just bught the wahl senior 5 star for $106 free shipping. Amazon has the wahl senior for $120 and im wondering if im missing out on anything

You can if you have another battery. I actually put a battery n mine that lasts longer. But I rarely use them now

So I've been playing aroind with my Cordless Seniors and the guide blade shifts, no matter how tight I make the screws. I've swapped parts out and the issue of the blade shifting remains. This is not the first pair of Seniors I've seen this happen with. Wahl needs to get on this.
**UPDATE**
The part known as the Blade Slide is shifting in the grooves - This could be a metal on metal issue, or a less than optimal groove spacing, due to mass production variances..but they need to fix it.
Ahh ok I c. I’ve heard a few other people talk about this. I figured it must’ve been the brackets or something
@@TankBeChoppin The only make-shift solution I've found is to tighten your lever, which will firmly secure one side of the slide. But your lever is going to be a bitch to you, lol.

The only difference is the moving blade. Magic clip had a stagger tooth blade and the seniors is a regular blade. They both get the job done and both can do it well. But, I think the seniors are slightly stronger
GOOD ON THE WAHL. GO CHECK OUT WHAT I DID TO THE WAHL SENIOR SERIES.
The lever feels weak, but no other issues...

@@loydsmith7297 I like them better in different aspects lol. I think the magic clips are easier to fade with, but the seniors are stronger and cut faster. I have to make a lot of passes with the magic clips. I’ll say the MC are easier for beginners

@@TankBeChoppin game changer fam. With that ceramic blade too. The babyliss is like a curved taper blade And comes to a sharper point at the end of the blade from what I’ve noticed when comparing the two. Super dope combo💯
