The difference is the charger for the new Seniors does not work with the old and the magic clips... the insert is different ...

Old version senior blade gets a little loose over time, and that is something i have not experienced with the new ones!

I'm a left handed user, I'm debating myself between the Panasonic ER-GP 81and the Wahl Senior Cordless, the Panasonic has a 10.000 rpm motor vs the 6.500 rpm of the Wahl Senior, in your opinion does this significally affects the experience and the cutting?, and which one of the two you would choose?
It really depends my friend because sometimes Power is not everything. The Senior gets the job done regardless, i would look into availability of replacements and or accessories instead when making a choice in my opinion brother.

3:49 can anyone explain this, everyone talks about fade and taper blades, but as soon as you put a guard they're the same right? the blades only make a difference without guards
It makes a slight yet effective difference. Since the taper blade is curved it can take of a bit less when you use the guards as opposed to the fade blade which is flat, also the way you scoop out (flick of the wrist) makes a huge difference as well my friend

h4fiz_ 18 get magic clip with staggered tooth if you’re beginner. This senior has straight tooth blade so it’s slightly more difficult to remove guidelines but is very easy to create guidelines with it.
I stick with fast feeds with the ceramic blade they hit nice !

Have to modify it. Companies are not allowed to zero gap a blade out of the box because they dont want to be held responsible for any reason if you claim your machine cut your client without you messing with it yourself.

@@Hc4697 Zero gapping basically means is that your moving the cutting teeth (the teeth that move) closer to the top of the clipper without them overlapping the bottom teeth because if they overlap and and use start cutting your gonna slice your customer
Most of us barbers zero gap because it helps getting lines out especially if your doing a skin fade it’ll help with Getting the zero line out 👍
If your looking to zero gap ur clippers it’s very easy just loosen the 2 screws and move the teeth to where you want them to be , hold the teeth in place and screw it tightttttttt

You buy the staggered tooth blade and put it on the seniors... it’s that simple, and you ever taken your clipper apart or ever zero gap your clippers?
1st gen is better in my opinion, have both and the motor on the 1st gen is much stronger. Wish there was still some out there in circulation

Yeah the taper is more for east scooping and great for those struggling to flick out.

Freddie Ramirez I just swapped it like from a magic blade, they are both compatible due to both being wahl clippers and taking the same taper, or fade blade.

yes it can , i own 2 and both are zero gapped just loose the blade screws a little not all the way and wiggle da blade and set it as you like

They all should come with Premuim guards. But only the 1/2, 1 and 1 1/2
In the uk it comes with the 1/2 - 1.5 and 1 - 8 premium guards
In UK and Ireland you get the full premium set #1-8

Rick Nash more than perfect for buzzcuts brother, this is a heavy duty clipper. I will be making a video in depth on how to clean the clippers there are so many ways, I have an old video on how to clean em and it’s the same process.

Only about the sound;
I compared it to my magic clip before I switched the blades around, when I compared the sound afterwards I noticed the Senior sounded like the Magic clip and vice-versa.
The sound probably depends on what teeth you're rocking!

Like your review but after 30years of using Wahl and Andis, I am done with them just repacking the same clippers at a higher price for a black or shinny or new edition (it the same clipper over and over) There cordless disappointed me and thanks to Caliber .50 Mag I can move onto a much better quality cordless clipper. Caliber is way ahead of the cordless game. Again good review

The new seniors are trash man… less power… and are just not good. My first one I bought was fantastic and super powerful. The newer one it seems like the company cuts corners on us. Even the wiring is different in the machines. They aren’t rated the same. Idk what’s going on with wahl man but they big slacking
