Thanks Sue, Rod and Kathy. I was only 6 years old when I attended but I remember it being one of those most fantastical experiences of my childhood. The atmosphere, the feeling in the air. It was abuzz with excitement and joy. A very special time ❤

I grew up on Brisbane's Northside. I remember Expo88 so vividly. I was 8 at the time and it has to be one of the best Years of my childhood. If I could go back to a year in my life it would be 1988. So many fond memories. Thank you for sharing this video. I almost went back in time😀

My first job in computer graphics was at a company called Multivisuals in Brisbane with the guys who created the pepper's ghost effects for Expo and I think something similar in kakadu. They told me when they were bidding for the contract they filled the offices with random meetings to make it look like they were super busy when the Gov reps visited :)

WoW! considering tech at that time, and how dark it was in there, I never thought I'd see any video of Dreamtime. With all the international stuff, it was favorite, watched it multiple times. Shame we needed expo to be educated on something we should have been taught in school.

Omg this has to be the most detailed rarest footage of the Australia pavilion and expo 88 site just fantastic! I had no idea the Australia pavilion had its own theme song too!

Strangely, I have only one strong memory of that pavilion, and that was the hugely enjoyable aboriginal Dreamtime story (my overall favourite had to be the NZ pavilion). I think it was because of the screen and sound technology of the Dreamtime presentation which made it so memorable. It was so high tech at the time! Thanks for the memories, Jason.

Does anybody know how to get the sheet music for the Kaleidescope Song from the Rainbow Sphere? Chorus: "Reach out Australia, touch the rainbow; Reach out for the future, raise your hands. Australia, you're a special kind of magic feeling; Australia, you're a special kind of land". I have been trying to find a copy of the song and the sheet music since 1988! Any clues would be appreciated.
