Ikr... the vibe with this trailer of making it all pretty and appealing and thinking "about the beauty of it" just makes me think theres an agenda of training people to design and maintain these systems, kinda like how they are saying people who have played videogames their whole life, like shooters and such have now useful skills to pilot drones and shit like that 💀
Had the pleasure meeting some of you when I was working in 'De Hoorn'. I met passionate people, I envy the art you are working on. Looking with great anticipation for this title!
My biggest gripe with Satisfactory is that it has first person perspective. A top-down view helps plan out factories much better (like Factorio and DSP). Excited to play this when it comes out!
@@jjmj4971 it does allow u to hover above your factory if you stay at the same high and just use foreward back left right. Seems just like isometic view of stuff.
I like this idea of working with building blocks and creating your own objects, the graphics style is appealing, music feels comfy, utilitarian quotes are spot on. Looking forward to see more.
@gabrielch.7973 you're not wrong but I think there could be a gradient of some type, weather it be rocks or boulders. Maybe just dithering for the organic textures, not saying we need to go hog wild and make minecraft factorio. Just saying there could be a smoother transition, because the art doesn't make me believe one thing was made from the other. I hope that makes sense, I don't exactly know how to explain. It's just a feeling and very incredibly subjective.
@@CMDR_Wailing Hello! Art director of the game here :) Thanks for the kind words! As gabrielch already mentioned, this was made to create contrast between the world environment and the actual gameplay assets. Everything mechanical/technological is made in voxelart and nature elements are in some kind of lowpoly style. It also helps gameplay readability a lot! It makes it clearer what is added/created/modified by the player versus what already exists and can't be modified. But, like you suggested, we might investigate a bit more "pixelart" textures for the environment, to make it blend a bit better with the voxelart models!
@@Antoine_HappyVolcano hey very cool of you to reply to this, let me just say I'm not an artist and to take my critique with a grain of salt. The art looks great regardless and the effect of the natural world vs man made is very apparent and executed really well.
In the best way, my first reaction was "oh no..." It looks deceptively simple on first glance but definitely won't be. It looks beautiful aesthetically. It seems very therapeutically Zen. "Oh no I'm going to lose a few hundred hours of my life to this and love every second"
looks nice, hope it has proper depth and enough challenge to keep you from getting bored, I prefer factorio over satisfactory because of the enemies who add the extra challenge, otherwise I would lose interest
This looks great! Although one issue I have (personally speaking) is that I would rather play with real resources rather than made up blocks, structures or "pixels" like this. Something like this, but with Factorio or Satisfactory bound gameplay mechanics. I am personally not a huge fan of "Shapez" because of this.
MINING to CRAFT is soooo last decade. I guess our collective preference in crafting simulators has reached the Industrial Era 🤷♂ Everything is about mass-production and automation now
I love a LOT about this. The art direction is amazing. I very much dislike what you're MAKING. I don't engage with the games that just make shapes or abstract "things" the appeal to Factorio and Satisfactory to me is the making of real(ish) products. I won't connect with this because of that.
Thank you for your honest feedback. We really appreciate it! We understand the appeal of creating tangible, real-world-inspired products in games like Factorio and Satisfactory. With Modulus, we’re focusing on something different. The modules you create serve as building blocks for your factories, emphasizing creativity and the artistry of construction. While it’s a unique approach that might not connect with everyone, we’re glad you enjoyed the art direction and thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts! ❤
At the moment they are not customizable. You can upgrade buildings, and the final stage has some extra decoration, but the building itself stays the same. That said, we'd love to bring more customization to the game if that is something the community wants.
Currently, we're not exploring multiplayer options. Creating a great singleplayer factory game is already a complex challenge, and we're fully focused on making that the best experience possible.
I dont see any interesting mechanic here. On top of that simple shapes are boring. Thats why I dont like Shapez where you just build something to complete a goal. I want interesting mechanics with the Environment like factorio. There is so much unused potential
looks good, but. . . why all the grass and trees when you are just taking over nature aka destroying it all? c_c seems petty to me. i dont think id ever buy something like this.
the game doesn't encourage you to destroy it unlike factorio, it gives you the aesthetic of building with nature, which I respect. In a sense it feels solarpunk-ish
Another automation game? At this rate, I'm never going outside again.
Touching grass is overrated when you can automate the process instead.
“The factory must grow”
You guys were going outside?

Hover pack sorts this mid to late game...
@@stevengrice1807 Thats not quite how it works tho lol

I actually would love the first person view if they had good QoL features. But they don't.
This was my main issue with Satisfactory as well.
First hurdle in automation games is to automate your own social life. The factory must grow.
Looks very nice, hope long term gameplay about to be on par with visuals

I hope Josh will be the first and only playtester on this one
"Hey there it's Josh, welcome back to game it out.. this episode we're destroying Modulus"
Then I bet this game will have zero bugs whatsoever
… Nilaus.
@LetsGameItOut
Oh yes. Belts and factories, and chill music. Count me in.
this looks sick, I just wish the environments shared the same pixel style as the buildings.
Sounds good but it also works as contrast of the smooth natural environment vs the symmetrical optimized building style

This trailer looks like a garden. A place of zen with beautiful vibrant colors and nice geometric shapes.
Je trouve cela, apaisant ❤
I really like the aesthetics of this and the hints of mechanics have me intrigued. Added to my wishlist.
WHAT IS THIS DREAM??? THANK YOU RUclips ALGORITHM!!!
Instantly listed! I always need nice-looking factory games like Satisfactory and Shapez
I don't know how this ended up in my feed, but thank god it did. This looks wonderful!
I just watched the trailer and I am already in love with this game
Very simple, elegant looking game, can't wait to play it!
This looks awesome!
oh this looks nice!
Looks great, good luck!

Looks really great. Interesting idea to be able to design everything, via a block designer. Even buildings?
Looks great! Though can't help but think of how similar it looks to Shapez (at least the mechanics).

shapez went to college and met a guy named Zach
Gorgeous!
Exciting!!
I like the design - would having different colour palettes for new runs be possible ?
Great idea for customization!
ohhhhhhh lord as if dyson sphere program wasn't enough of a scourge on my lifetime
Those inserters reminds me of DSP.
I love the aesthetic of this.
Wishlisted.
looks exciting!
wow , it seems attractive
This is a beautiful solution
Had to check to make sure it's not the same studio that made Industries of Titan.
Same art director! 😉
Looks promising!
Oooooo cant wait!
IT IS satisfactory but from a diff perspective. I'm in!!!
I like what is said in this trailer
This looks very nice. Any chance you can create a mac binary with the game engine you're using?
Satisfactory
That looks so cool!
Oh shit, here we go again (factorio again)
The question is what you consider beautiful - other than the obvious comfort and practicality...
So its like shapez2?

LOOOOKS GORGEOUS!!! OMGGGGG
wow this looks promising
City Builder but factory? Give me two
Beautiful
my social life seeing another facrio come out
looks very good
will it be available on mac ?
woooow! this is a game i want :)

Consume!
Do you mean you can create new things by putting blocks on top of blocks that are on top of another blocks in this game???
That’s it. Take my money

Finally Factorio for children)

You never played a citybuilder before I take it?
Coop? otherwise uninteresting
No thank you.
Another bad factorio clone ughh
finally we have it: infinysatisfactorio
well it definitely isn't beautiful so i guess something IS wrong
