  • In this video, taken from our Emergency Procedures Masterclass (Part 2), we review what a shoulder dislocation is, how the more common anterior dislocation happens, how to handle an accompanying nerve injury, and using an x-ray to both confirm your diagnosis and document any pre-reduction fractures.

    1:37 I've only suffered a partial dislocation -- to both shoulders in the same incident --, but they started to pop out a little without much effort. Nine years after the accident, I was turning a page in a book and my shoulder decided to slip out, a bit. More recently, I tripped and fell onto my back and that jarring popped the shoulder out. It always goes back in without medical attention, but it still hurts when it happens.

    I'm i big guy and i move fast so when i crash... i hurt myself. I believe it's been 5 or 6 times now its popped out of place do to sheer force. I generally just workout the shoulder until the pain go's away over time and i forget about it. Along with a little stretching and arm raises, doubt it'll ever been 100% again but it works.

    I hope this message reaches you.
    I am 24 yrs Old and had a posterior Shoulder dislocation while sleeping face down to earth when it dislocated. (As if you are carrying a mountain = kind of pose )
    For sure, it was not serizure or epilepsy...
    I throwed balls and even had a fall on my back the previous day. I played badminton and want to continue it till I get old as a hobby. It's the only thing I love to do.
    And after 2 weeks i had MRI Done which says, Non-Bony Bankart lesion labrum tear (1 to 5o clock). I have felt pop out and pop in of shoulder joint for a second during my smashes.
    I am recovering fast as of now. I can lift my arm straight.
    Most Doctor are recommending surgery with knotless sutures and all Physiotherapist says to get it exercise consistently for 5 to 6 months.
    Should i get surgery done or do rehab or both ?

      idk what is wrong with my shoulder tho. fell on it very hard skating and i can't lift it when its rotated forward. i can touch my opposite shoulder so i don't think its dislocated video man said i wouldn't be able to. it clicked like fuck when i fell on it. it was rotated forward arm outstretched and then i fall in a way that helmet and back of shoulder take the full force.
      any ideas 1st year doctor man?

      @ramondamian5067 2 года назад

      @@creepychris420 Hey, not sure if you gotten the answer in the meantime, since it passed 2 months ( didn’t notice the question due to those spammers above) . It could be a rotatory cuff lesion or slap lesion of the glenoida fosa, if you still have pain and reduced mobility should do an mri of the shoulder or even better an angio-mri (probably more expensive) but offers even more information and then go see a doctor with it. But if don’t have any problems longer, then you should be fine.
