I was surprised to see that you've painted your custom front fender. It matched your frame color perfectly. But once I saw that it almost disappeared under the rack once painted black. I understood and appreciated your decision immediately. Great job !
Nice video. Good job on your racks. The mudguard on the front rack is very nice. You have some good equipment. Ortlieb panniers and MSR tent. I shall try the Topeak front rack. I have a Kona Wo fat bike with no mounts on the forks for rack or bottle cages. Thank you for making your video.
HEY 👋 Erik!!! Glad to see you again!!! Yes I was entertained, great video and I definitely liked the mud flap. I hope you WERE NOT entertained, I mean, in the middle of the night😄looks like a couple of fox dens🦊, lol😁. AWESOME VIDEO my friend and don't stay away so long this time😀take care buddy. Jay.
Thanks Silver Grizzly for the kind words:-) I was not intertained in the night luckely, actual it was a unusual quiet night! I have material for 4-5 more videos, just have to pull myself together one day :-)
Thanks, it is the thick plastik used to put over powerlines that are under ground to warn anyone that are digging that there is powerlines further down, I think some electrial store might have it.
Just bought a rear rack from a local shop and the guy even looked over my bike to make sure the rack would fit. I get home and it doesn't because my bike has no eyelets on the frame PLUS the brackets provided to compensate for that don't fit. Yikes lol
Great video. I have orderk,ed one of those back racks. I worry about the side struts that extend, as you are relying on a screw biting into the extension rod. If you overtighten them I imagine it's easy to strip the thread. How are they holding up? Also thinking of getting the front rack, amazing you used exactly the combination I have in mind! Second question, what model are the bags?
Thanks alf red. Yes, you have to be carefull not to overtighten the screws, but luckely I dident :-) so far I it holds up very well, I have not had the need to retighten them and have been on about 20 overnight trips since. The pannies are Ortlieb 12 liters.
@@Eriks-Multi-Topic-Channel Cheers Erik, sounds good! I'll be careful and try not to overtighten them. Regarding the Tetrapack, I'd have to lift the brake hoses a bit and run the strap underneath. Did you have to do that?
@@Eriks-Multi-Topic-Channel The front brake hose. It’s ok, I fitted it anyway (the Tetra rack). I took it in for a lower leg service and I think they unclipped the hose and forgot to re-clip it, so it was easy.
Thanks very much. My fatty is 17.78. I like the way you manhandled the rack to make it fit and or mount. That rack might suit me with a tweak or two. Cheers and thanks again.
Hi Erik, just got one of those rear racks. For the bolts in the middle of the legs, do you just tighten these a little bit against the metal as I notice there are no holes? Thank you!
hey mate I’m slightly confused , you have rigid carbon fibre forks but have purchased the M1 version which is meant for MTB suspension forks , and also not recommended for carbon fibre forks . Are you saying it fits and is working without any issues ?

Thats ingenuity the bottle holders! Excellent bike
This video relaxes me thank you
Thank you so much for making this video. I now have an idea of how I can modify my folding bike

Sweet mudguard.
Great video!! I just set my fat boy up in a similar way for winter commuting. Thanks for the ideas!
nice! been looking for a sollutin to add a pannier rack to the backside , kudos!
Very ingenius. Thanks for the video
I like your custom mudflap.
Excellent video. Thank you.
I like the DIY mud guards! What material is that and where can I get some? Thanks!

Hi there. I am looking at this front rack, I have a specialized fat boy with 26 x 4.6 front tire do you think it will fit?
Yes, I have 26x4.8 tires on now with no problem. there is 4-5 mm air left on both sides.
Awesome. Might not be a bad idea to put some plastic frame/fork protecting tape on before strapping it down.
Is your bike an Aluminum or carbon fiber frame?
Hi Steve, It´s Carbon
Eric, Love your work my friend. Cable ties, what would we do without them ??
Hi, can i ask whats the max weight you put on your rear rack? I wonder if the rack can live up to the max weight bmanufacturer recommend. Thank you
I have not weightet my gear, used it a lot without issues, probably loaded around its max, so go for it :-)
@@Eriks-Multi-Topic-Channel thanks a lot

Rattle? Nice job.
Hi Eric, How wide are your forks center to center?
Hi Scott from center to center of the fork there is 16,5 cm

does the carrier rattle when you ride over bumps or potholes?
not at all !

Yes :-)
I have a Specialized Fat Boy with 4.6" wide tires on a large frame will this setup works for it ?
No problem at all, I have now 4.8 wide tires on mine
Class!
I thought you could not mount those racks onto carbon fibre front forks , looks like you have carbon forks , was everything ok ?
yes, no problem so far, still on and in use.

@@stevepickett9207 Yes after bending it a little as shown in the video, it fits and works just fine, no issues yet.
@@Eriks-Multi-Topic-Channel a risk worth taking you must think , I rang Topeak and they said definitely not for Carbon fibre
@@stevepickett9207 I have done This on 2 previous bikes also with carbon forks, never had an issue and i have sometimes heavy load in the pannies.
Hello. Is this a fat bike? Can install this on a fat bike?
yes
great vid to watch
Was not aware you could mount a Tetrarack M1 on a carbon fork.
You are now :-)
Can someone sit on the back carrier ?
Yes, but it will break for sure :-)
Just amazing!
What kind of gat bike is that
Thank youuu
Those are some wacked forks....and zero mounts, what a shame...
Now add an electric motor and it will be so much cooler
No.
