Really helpful video, thank you!! ❤ When you added the tailfin fork suspension mounts and they are holding up the rack a bit more . . . Are you able to carry closer to that 10kg weight on the front rack??
Thanks for the video. I was just considering buying the tetrarack, but if there is a chance that it will slide in a rough, bumpy terrain under a high speed, then it is a showstopper. So, what rear rack would you recommend? I do have mounting points for a rear rack on my MTB 29', the problem is that the racks that are claimed to be MTB 29' compatible end up being uncomfortably close to my tire and I can't seem to find anything that would fit and not be overpriced at the same time. Have good bike adventures. I love traveling on my MTB bike.
Thanks! I use a Topeak MTX rack on my MTB with 29ers and it fits fine, I’d use your rack mounts if you have them. You can always get extensions/risers for the rack if that helps!
I wouldn’t say so at this sort of weight. You can’t tighten them enough to crack the frame as it’s just a Velcro strap loop. There’s only so much tension you can apply 👍
I might have to give em a try it seems less expensive than the old man mountain axle setup. I just worry about the slipping. Guess I’ll have to do some more digging

You’re welcome. Yeah definitely, I can get over the 10kg limit easily now if I want to!
Topeak makes great stuff. I have two touring handlebar bags (large and small) and a saddle bag. Quality gear at decent prices.
Yeah agree! Mostly very good quality stuff

with carbon forks does the clamping increase the chance of cracking or damaging them?

Replace velcro with German Stainless Steel Hose clamps.
Wouldn’t you scratch the frame doing that?
@@Cycling366 Gorilla Crystal Clear Tape will solve that problem.
