Good knowledge from your years of experience, thanks. I just took delivery of the 35-105 f3.5 today. Lens, filter, lens hood, and case all for £35. I think I did well. Looking forward to using it on my A1 and FTb.
I had been eyeing the FDn 35-105mm f3.5 for awhile. Your breakdown of the options available sold me on it! Just placed an order. Zoom lenses of the era are hit or miss and I didn't know what to think about all the options, as most of them outdate me. Instead of packing 3-4 primes for a film photoshoot, I'd be happy with just the one! Thank you for sharing
@@apertureonepointfour I got it. I'm going to convert it to EF mount in some point of the in the future. I will use Simmond lens company to do it. I already purchased a speed booster ef to eosm. The speed booster is only a test.
Hi great video! im from Turkey and i cant find here canon 35-105 instead i can find Tokina RMC 35-105mm f/3.5-4.3 and Vivitar 35-105mm f/3.5 which one can you suggest me?
@@alperbeyaz1411 Thank you for your comment and best wishes to Turkey. I always buy some lenses in Japan myself, maybe you also have the possibility to get the Canon nFD 3.5 35 to 105 mm from there! I also used to have good experiences with the vivita Series 1 lens on my analog camera: Vivitar Series 1 28-105mm 2.8-3.8 VMC Macro. Unfortunately I don't know the other lenses you mentioned. Greetings from Germany, Stefan
@@alperbeyaz1411 The nFD 2.0 35mm offers good optical performance, very similar to the nFD 2.8/35. I have both, but I don't use it for portrait photography.
I wouldn't want to compare a 1.4 50mm with a 35-105mm zoom. Both lenses have different areas of application, which result from the speed and focal length alone. My various Canon FD/FDn 1.4 50mm lenses represent a successful combination to the 35 to 105mm. Greetings Stefan
@@princepolitely7559 I have not yet tested the lens directly against a fixed focal length. From the pictures I've taken with the 35 to 105, I'd say it's on par with the 50mm at f/5.6 to f/8. On the fly, I can only find these pictures I took with the 35 105: www.flickr.com/gp/157127414@N04/dF5rNGT736 The F1 new is a fantastic camera🤩, buy the 35 to 105 mm, you won't regret it 😊 Greetings Stefan

YES!! This is a very good price for a beautiful lens and sublime from the optical performance!

Then I wish you a lot of fun and joy with your new lens. I'm sure it will meet your expectations!!
Thanks for the recommendation! I'm looking to purchase the FD 35-105, 3.5!
You'll definitely love this lens!
