I have a lute of 9 courses but I think it is too big for me, I am thinking that it is better to buy one of 6 courses because I'm just starting to learn to play the lute and the 9 is too big. What do you think? thank you.
Hi! I think 6 or 7 courses would be best for the start. You could get a 7 course and take the 7th course off for the beginning, putting it back on when you feel ready. That will give you more choice of repertoire. 58-60 cm string length. Good luck!
@@pcroton Thank you very much Maestro, I am very grateful, your advice is very important for me. I didn't know I could remove the seventh pair. Excellent. Thank you
Wonderful video! The best I have seen in terms of video quality and clear explanations. I have a question: at 4:42 you mention a difference between a flexible and fixed strap. What is a fixed strap? Is that the sort where the player sits on the strap end after it passes through a loop at the lower strap button?
I think that the loose loop method that you sit on would be considered flexible as you can adjust that very quickly and easily where the fixed would be secured to the end pin. I could be wrong though.

OK - I just ordered your book from Early Music Shop. Thanks so much!
Maestro one day could you explain how to play an arpeggiated chord?
Very helpful video! Much appreciated!

Thanks for the useful presentation of this method. I think I recognize the style of MuseScore software. Am I right?
Thanks for your comment! Yes, I used Musescore for examples in the book.
