I've been dying to play this song, and yours is the best by far, all of the other people playing this play it so different, yours sounds just like the one from the movie! And that's what I've been looking for!

It's just practice. Everyone can do it, the problem is that people stop when they make a mistake. Everyone with an ear good enough to recognize when it's WRONG, can get it right if you keep at it.
Just start simple, and you'll improve as you go along.
Could you please do a tutorial for this song?! Or just video it in a way I can see what notes you are playing?

i love it when people play music by ear, because that shows a true talented musician. :)
this is my favourite version - the voice is just angelic and the piano is wonderful. brilliant rendition - maybe one day ill learn this on piano .

This song isn't in the sheetmusic book from the movie. Besides, it would probably be as simplified as the other songs.
I've written down the sheetmusic for what I play in the video here. So I think it's quite different from what you'll find of official sheet music.

It's E, D# and D. The D is together with the B minor chord which transforms to B major before going home to E.

I totally envy you... I bought the sheet music for this since I can kinda read music, and figured that with some time I could figure it out but I cant make heads or tails of it! Usually I just watch peoples hands from above as they play piano and then play it :/ I'm still gonna learn to read the darn sheet music though, if its the last thing I do!

@Hoku2Dreamer Your good ear is just the tool you need, don't be discouraged that you hear mistakes. Just keep at it, the mistakes will be fewer and eventually you can play exactly what you hear without mistakes at all. :)

@snacksize549 Thanks. Don't let classical training stop you from playing by ear, that skill was considered important with any pianist until the 1900s. So all the composers you play were great at it - why shouldn't you develop it too? :P

Hi Petter, let's do this in english. :)
I'm afraid I don't know the original version at all, apart from hearing it a couple of times growing up.
Finding sheet music with what's exactly on recordings are in my experience always almost impossible. Don't know why they don't publish it, either they think only an easy version will sell, or else they're trying to keep their "secret".
Just keep trying to learn it by ear, you'll make it eventually! :)
