Fortunate enough to do this a few years ago. Crazy, wild, draining all day long experience but utterly fantastic. Light years away from the Asseal Stadium and the lower end of the Championship.
Went to see it way over 30 years ago....in 1989 ......on a Wednesday night in September....game had been rescheduled...completely buzzed....absolutely volatile and dangerous...nowhere close to the colourful, family affair you see now....Boca won 1-0. Went to the Monumental the weekend after to see River against San Lorenzo.... 1-0 again. .....totally different experience, almost sedate by comparison
You can still get that similar atmosphere and experience today going to el popular area of the stadium, or following teams like Chacarita, Chicago, Racing, Independiente, Newells etc etc or going to El Torneo del Verano. I went to a lot of games in BsAs end of 90s also. People think going to "smaller" teams in BsAs will be less intensity but that's not the case.
Vamoooooos.
What I love about that stadium is that basically every seat is amazing. No pillars in the way like Highbury and no seats in some shite corner. The only place where you can’t really see is the ultras cage, and then, you’re in the most fun part of the crowd, and probably shitfaced
You should go to the monumental stadium, it is a totally different experience in the superclásico. There really is no comparison to the largest stadium in Argentina at its maximum capacity.

Proud of ya Ellis! The growth of this channel has been phenomenal. Keep on cookin brother❤
Thanks! Will do!
Enjoying the channel. From Scotland live in Mexico. If you havent been to the Azteca yet, its a must do
You must come to El Monumental next time. 86k at every home game, madness
Stop lying there’s not 86 K at every game. 😂😂😂😂
@@jescareno8332 yes, 86k every game.
I went to Argentina 11 years ago for a friend's wedding. We took a bus tour around the city and got told, by my friend, "do not get off the bus by Boca's ground, it's the roughest area of the city!" 😂
You guys are living the dream ! Amazing video 👏 🤩
Thank you!
what an amazing atmosphere
Letss gooo Ellis nice to see you in argentina DALEEE BOCAAA 🇦🇷💙💛
Thank you!
As someone visiting Buenos Aires in January, I am happy to watch the video and wish I could go to such a rivalry like boca and River.
A great video would be to combine Ellis and Karl Pilkington, imagine the moaning, the tragedy of missed flights, the constant confusion. Would be a masterpiece
😂😂😂😂
Been watching since the non league days. Absolutely unreal to see you make it out to Buenos Aires. Defo would be a dream to see a superclasico some day!
Thank you! Thanks for watching too
U guys have the Inbetweeners vibes and I love it haha
Vamos RIVER CARAJO!!!!!!!!!!!! Saludos
Second match for the Copa Liber featuring these two teams… Whew! Glad I watched it!
people never stop singing even if their team is lossing, i love my country
Great video, I’m booked on next year with home fans for the Super Classico at River next September 2024. I cannot wait for this to happen.
Bienvenido a mi argentina 🇦🇷 welcome bro .grande my river plate🏆❤👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Man, the footage from inside the Bombonera is mind blowing. ❤
Now come to see River Plate, it doesn't matter if it's the Superclasico or not, you're going to like it much more. The experience is better. People are different, we sing the 90 minutes with different songs.
PS: I hope you had a good time in Buenos Aires!
Absolute scenes!! Thank you so much for this video 🙏🏼

You guys need to come back to any River Plate match, we are at another level, 86.000 people every game... Literally the most popular team in the world
Definitely in my bucket list as well
the hug moment at 17:11,
Amazing, right? You have entered the temple of world football. There is no comparison. I'm glad you feel that vibration when you enter. ESTO ES BOCA
is good to know that you visited bolivia, i love that country. i hope i can visit it too someday
Glad you enjoyed the match! Feel free to come see another superclasico, but next time in a stadium that is not missing a side.
Vamoooooos.
Vamos River!
