@@serban9810 a very long question from me in England and perhaps tell Ellis too as he is from England What is the difference between steaua bucuresti and fcsb? Sounds very difficult A lot of conflict it seems correct? Thank you for reply
@@BALHAM69 yeah it is very difficult. to keep it short, Steaua Bucuresti is the army's club and it is the only one who owns all the rights to the Steaua brand and name. FCSB is Gigi Becali's team and they lost all the rights to use the Steaua name in court. He's the one who supposedly bought Steaua from the army, but the courts are saying he did it illegally and so they stripped his club of the name after the army sued him. The army re-founded the football team and now Steaua is theirs playing in the 2nd division. Very complicated but basically, legally Steaua is CSA Steaua(army's club) and FCSB is a fake. But the story is waay longer than that, I can tell it to you if you want but it's gonna take a bit:) Oh and also, for Ellis' knowledge, most ultras went with Steaua but casual fans and new sort-of-ultras stayed with FCSB.
@@serban9810 Haha, yeah, I thought that is the National Arena too but I didn’t know we had that bad a reputation even with all the complaints about football ultras lol. I mean, Peluza Nord (North Stand, FCSB s ultras) used to be at the old Steaua s matches just as much as Peluza Sud (South Stand, the ones that stuck with CSA Steaua) so I dont think it is fair to call them sort of ultras. Hell, they were even on break for a while when the whole argument started and didnt go to either team s matches for a while, partly because their leader was in jail at the time. Other things to note are that CSA Steaua had to start from scratch all the way from the 4th tier in 2017, they are now in the 2nd tier but unable to promote because of the same law that forced Steaua to be privatised in the first place (state owned clubs are technically not allowed to play in the first tier. I say technically because loads of clubs get state funding anyway via sponsorships etc.), which is even more of an issue as neither Steaua was ever actually relegated on the field and it would be the only Romanian club to hold that distinction. Right now they are actually in bad form too and are 8th in the second tier but the upcoming match against Rapid will be in the group stage of the cup (we have a new dumb cup format where teams are drawn into groups of 6 but each only plays 3 games, the top 2 qualify). Another fun fact is that the history is actually split off 3 ways as of right now as Becali didn’t buy the team directly off of the army but was initially a nonprofit association that was headed by someone else (Viorel Paunescu) with Becali initially having a minority stake before he took majority control and changed the organisational form to a joint stock company so the trophies won until 1998 belong to the army, the trophies from 1998-2003 belong to the now long dead association and the trophies since 2003 belong to the new FCSB. It is a complete mess as he said. On the topic of fans I want to make it clear just how huge the numbers difference actually is, CSA Steaua has had an average of 1200 fans while FCSB has had an average of 15k this season so far. But those 1200 are just ultras so they can definitely do choreographies and stuff like that, plus the fact that there will be way more fans at that game as it is a derby after all. I mean, 5k is just the official number of away Rapid fans allowed. There will probably be more Rapid fans than CSA ones at the game tbh. The former players meanwhile are pretty much split according the the period they played in (the legends that won the CL back in 1986 when Romania was still communist and the army owned the club support CSA, though even they have been frustrated by the lack of ability to promote lately, the players that played in the Becali period mostly support FCSB). Notable exceptions are Duckadam (you might know him as the only keeper to save 4 penalties in a row and he did it in a CL final to win the match for his team) who supports FCSB and even worked for them for a while, meanwhile on the other side Adi Popa (RW that played for FCSB for 5 years between 2012-2017 during which he was a part of the team that won 3 league titles in a row, that made it to the EL RO16 knocking out Ajax and beating European champions Chelsea in the first leg before succumbing to a 3-2 defeat, that had CL participations etc) has played for and is now supporting CSA Steaua as the real Steaua. So, yeah, a real mess. The annoying part is that it isn’t even the only case of split identity (see CSU Craiova vs FCU Craiova which is the only other one where fans are actually split but even Dinamo has 3 teams called that and Rapid had to fight off a court case from a couple of fans that made a team called ACS Rapid Frumosii Nebuni Ai Giulestiului (“ACS Rapid The Beautiful Insane People of Giulesti”) and claimed that is the rightful phoenix club of Rapid following their bankruptcy, the current first division Rapid won that case as they had bought the history of the old Rapid on auction) but it is the most spoken about, as a FCSB fan I wish all of them would just stop and I think that is the position of pretty much all of us in the end
The difference between Krakow and, for example London in the UK, is that Cracovia and Wisla are fighting each other. In London, a random engineer can enrich you culturally for free. Additionally, if you look at the statistics, knife attacks in London are a million times more frequent.
Been twice in Wisla´s game, highly recommend. 2022 march game against Lech Poznan was solid, good atmosphere, nice chroeos, pyros, 21k-22k spectators and Wisla lost in end and you could hear the dissapoitment of the home fans. Saw couple ultras arrested before game at the gates and also our sector doors and gates were break by home fans, we didn´t even showed our tickets :D
bruh, i just thought's about a match from Romania, seeing the stadium in the thumbnail, which is from a match between Steaua Bucharest - Dinamo Bucharest played in 2014. I'm truly convinced.
When I went the only available tickets were in the ultra stand haha Me and my dad who are Walsall fans were shitting it. Saw some sights in that stand for sure but absolutely loved it haha

No derby for now as they're in seperate divisions, maybe the cup I suppose. The Cracovia stadium is just over the road,15.minute walk tops.i did the derby at the Cracovia Stadium,it wasn't all that but the what seemed like a million coppers made sure it stayed that. Legia v Lech or vice versa is where you need to go.
I went to to the derby in November 21’ Tickets in the ultra section and was stood behind these huge blokes, all of which were smoking under the tifo, which was probably over us for what seemed like most of the first half🤣 they don’t like phones so I can’t imagine you’ll do well with a camera lol
Boys this was probably the worst match of the season atmosphere wise. I'm an international student in Krakow and I have been to about 15 matches in the past 1 1/2 seasons and there was much better matches to go to even this season. Anyways you chose the right team to come to in Krakow and I hope you come back. If we get promoted there will be a derby again or maybe in the cup this season. Also there is a great match against Katowice coming up in 1 week.
Went to both stadiums in September. Unfortunately, not for a game. Wizla of course the larger of the two and I personally preferred too. Alot more accommodating for visitors when I went than Cracovia were tbh.

You need to go to the danish derby FC Copenhagen vs Brondby. Outrages atmosphere
No Kraków derby this season as the clubs are in different divisions. They may meet in the cup, so keep your fingers crossed! 🤞🤞
Ed is like a cross between Lee Mack and Alan Partridge.
bruh, i just thought's about a match from Romania, seeing the stadium in the thumbnail, which is from a match between Steaua Bucharest - Dinamo Bucharest played in 2014. I'm truly convinced.
Double Ed 👏 just watched his Luton video 😂
the music when ed comes out just rounds it off for me!
I will say one thing, that announcer is one of the best hype men I’ve seen. I can only imagine how fired up he gets the crowd.
Insane wasn’t he!?
4:02 'I mean, it's alright'. Ed casually saying an iconic meme
also, 10,000 likes for the ultras game, *immediately likes video*
When I went the only available tickets were in the ultra stand haha Me and my dad who are Walsall fans were shitting it. Saw some sights in that stand for sure but absolutely loved it haha
Don't understand why you say this is worse club? I'm married to a Polish woman I have lot of Polish friends and go to Poland at least once a year and I feel more safe in Poland than I do in England. Lovely people
The wildest thing was the guy who lost his limbs to cracovia fans (or the other way around, not sure) and in court was like "nothing happened"
Krakow is super safe, been about 20 tomes. So glad you got to sample some of the Polish beer and cuisine in the German beer hall. 😂
So funny how just from the jacket he as wearing, we all knew Ed said Ellis looked like Saville
Pirate FC away at the Romanian National stadium according to the thumbnail. What a fixture
Nice video, I enjoyed watching this and it was a good laugh, you both were very funny.
Ed eats an unreal amount of Pizza. Such a respectable dude
He LIVES for a pizza
@@awaydaysfootballpizza lives for him!!
Ed was lively this video!
You must do an Ed and Ben awaydays
Sippy sippy!
Krakow’s a beautiful city too.
Would love to alfie come a bit more often
Great video Ellis. Krakow is beautiful isn’t it especially the main square. Just got back from there and Warsaw. See legia Warsaw play. That was some epic crazy atmosphere too
The team only recently ended up in the second division, before that they were the most successful Polish team other then Legia Warsaw, mortal enemies btw.
You should interview some fans about their love for he club. That would be great content.
Great idea for videos moving forward I think.
Ellis is living the dream!
Most scared I've felt at a match was in with the Dinamo Zagreb Bad Blue Boys which made sense because the equivalent match this year led to deaths. I feel like you wouldn't disagree based on your experience at Dinamo...
Went Millwall away in 87 now that was scary.
bro i love this guy
AwayDays uploaded!
Fun fact: the park is between the 2 stadiums, so fights happen there often
Greetings from Poland!
Oi oi that steward
Aż ubrałem koszulkę wisły i szalik i śpiewałem przyśpiewki i wogule wyzywam tego gościa żeby że mną poszedł na mecz wisły nie ma psychy
Heyyyyy AwayDays got yourselfs a new sub here from Colombia. I just love your chanel and seeing football culture from all over the world. keep it up guys. Mad love from Colombia. you should come here tho.
Hi Ellis, I have visited wisla krakow numerous times including the Derby. It is brilliant but brutal
Poland is actually a safer country than the UK
Id love a video from the Derby looks like a nice city and club. Great work boys :)
Most dangerous? Go to any South American Derby game , you will change your mind.
"Come and visit Wisla Krakow. You won't die."
Great endorsement. I'm there on rhe next flight.
I went to to the derby in November 21’
Tickets in the ultra section and was stood behind these huge blokes, all of which were smoking under the tifo, which was probably over us for what seemed like most of the first half🤣 they don’t like phones so I can’t imagine you’ll do well with a camera lol
Come to Jagiellonia Bialystok, it’s in the middle of no where but we are not liked by most of Poland,
That s 2nd tier Poland?, that’s like wembely for Sheffield wednesy
Nice Vilnius "Žalgiris" hat. My favourite team.
Greetings from Lithuania.
Well, where I was born in Ireland it's literally known as stab city 😅😅
Christtt
Went to a Wisla Krakow game back in February, really enjoyed it. Was a lot more family friendly than I originally thought
You two looked well 'ard when you two handed your pint glasses! 😂
Hahahahahahahaa
Calls polish beer worse than Carlsberg, he will be denied access to Poland.. xD
Went to both stadiums in September. Unfortunately, not for a game. Wizla of course the larger of the two and I personally preferred too. Alot more accommodating for visitors when I went than Cracovia were tbh.
Go there with Cracovia outfit - see danger
C'mon guys, a few hundred likes more and he goes to derby!!!
Yooooo if you're here (in Poland), you better do some research about second hands stores or even try to write a message to some kit collectors in here and make a video
You need to go to Arka Gdynia v Legia Gdansk 25/11/23. Then you will see danger!
Please visit Copenhagen for the derby between FCK and Brøndby. They play on the 12th of November.
13:21 lads low key getting shots of the blonde steward
Hopefully there'll be a video of you and Ed at the Norwich Leeds game
You just know that ed said a young “jimmy saville” when it was bleeped 😂
would love to see ya at my local clubs games
Is anyone else thinking of that episode of "The IT Crowd" when Moss and Roy try to pretend they're football hooligans?
😂😂😂
@@awaydaysfootball "The thing about Arsenal is they try to walk it in"
That bus transition though
the most dangerous ground is in bolivia and only accessible by death road
Awaydays, don't you dare to come with me to the Wisła Kraków match, like so that he can see, glory to Wisła
Why should he come with me because I'm a wisła fan?
