Hah lol I just noticed another thing - I commented on the PS2 playthrough that I suspected that the PS2 version was the originally planned version - the cutscene at 1:44:00 where Wilkes Jr. dies is another example of this (in addition to some dialogue in the second embassy level that is a bit out of place) - the cutscene says "Russian airspace" - it comes right after the Kalinatek mission which is set in Virginia. In the PS2 version Wilkes doesn't die in the Kalinatek level but rather at the end of the Russian power plant which follows the Kalinatek mission. It makes a lot more sense for him to die there too as the Osprey could have easily transported him to the nearest hospital instead of "flying somewhere over Russian airspace". The more i compare the two the more things click into place. Who knows why they cut these parts from the PC (and XBox) version, maybe it didn't fit on a CD-ROM - the PS2 uses DVDs so they'd have had a lot more storage with the trade-off of having smaller levels due to less RAM? A quick Google search shows that the original XBox had theoretically 64MB shared RAM (meaning both for VRAM and regular RAM) whilst the PS2 had 4MB VRAM so maybe that was it? The truth is probably the the original plan was somewhere along the lines of "having the level sizes of the PC/XBox version with the level count of the PS2 version".
Take out the cone sight in mgs and replace it with splinter cell hiding mechanics and it'll be perfect. Hinding in mgs was too easy with those cone sight, all you had to do was stay out of that cone and you're safe.
Holy shit, I never knew that door in the training area was there. How are you supposed to know the code? Oh, and then you explain it by saying there's another door I never knew existed. Rad. Something fun about the PC version I discovered is that you can just set Sam to a certain speed and the guards will never hear you, and it's actually a relatively high speed. The only issue is moving diagonally makes him speed up slightly and that'll alert the guards. I don't entirely understand the police station part after the 2 extortion cops, I can get to the dark patch with the bushes, but every time I move forward I just get randomly spotted.
I'm interested in the differences between this and the PS2 version. I only knew that Double Agent had different versions across the two generations of consoles. Great video, the effort you put into the recording and commentary really shows.

remember seeing curtain physics and thermal vision for the first time ever
and even the shadows were pretty awesome at this time
The feels, man. Played the crap out of this on the original Xbox back in 2003-2004...
Too bad there's no damage, because the strangely erotic noise that Sam makes when he applies a medpac is too satisfying.
Hey Carci! Great to see new videos from you. I hope you make videos for the other Splinter Cell games. Also I would love to see you play the other Silent Hill games, and maybe Manhunt. I would love to see you playing Manhunt.
You’re so good at this game. I used your older speed run to platinum this game on the. PS3 port long ago lol
You've got a creepypasta reading voice...nice and soothing
I recently played through all the Splinter Cells so it's awesome to see you doing mastery runs! I would love to see similar playthroughs of the other games :)
omg this is awesome!!! I would practice those levels endlessly to play this game just like this just because playing as perfect sam felt soo badass Thanks for committing the time to show a quicker way for me to see this again. this was my favorite game of all time until the sequels up to chaos theory came out!!!
what I've played of Chaos Theory, I had a lot of fun!
God that intro skip caught me so off gaurd but it was really funny I used to have this game on xbox so its really cool to see you play it!
2:13:29 If I remember correctly when I played this years ago, I think you can get behind the turret as there is a sliding door on the wooden wall in the stable to the left.
That smash cut with the toilet sounds over the content Id was hilarious 😂 I didn't expect that
Please Carci, bring to the channel gameplays for Pandora Tomorrow, Chaos Theory and Double Agent! Will be awesome.
I follow you on twitch and wait for your videos in YT. Enjoy your commentary runs and games. Keep up the good work.
Man it's feels it's been so long
you published this on my birthday. Always love the vid's
Happy birthday. 🎂
Knocking out the Russian gangster then shooting him anyway at 20:31 made me LOL
Oh man thinking that i only played pandora tomorrow and blacklist while i was child is terrible! I missed the first one and the third 😂
Would you some kind of video discussion about the differences between the first 2 games? Or to judge which is better and for what reason? I would enjoy some good analysis or mechanics confrontation👀
Colonel : Hell-
Sam : Hi
I love metal gear solid but there are mechanics to splinter that would have been perfect for mgs
Thank you for bringing back my childhood and the game I never got to finish way back when!
I'm going to finish the last hour of Isolation, just waiting for total darkness.
Meanwhile, here we are again with a classic none-the-less! Thank you!
I'm interested in the differences between this and the PS2 version. I only knew that Double Agent had different versions across the two generations of consoles. Great video, the effort you put into the recording and commentary really shows.
I think Carci does not like dogs...
Wolf in Resident Evil 4, completely left to die in that trap;
Now, he legit jump's to murdering the poor bastards.
*How dare you*
i like dogs, just not ones that will hurt me
i just forgot to save the wolf when i was recording
47:50 that oil rig radio voice. Is that... The Onyxia Wipe Guy?
welcome back to virgina fischer
Your video's are the best, keep them up
Reminds me of the good old days when Tom Clancy games were not Call Of Duty shooter knock offs
"No, I found a dead body so shuddup!"
Lol.
the absolute best voice actor for Darkseid. If he ever gets a movie appearance i hope Michael Ironside is around to do the voice
Excellent playthrough! Thanks!
