The nice thing about gardening is we are always learning. I'm 80, gardened organically all my life, and your videos make me smile all the way through every time. Your enthusiasm is contageous. Thanks for all you are doing to get people out there digging and growing. (p.s. - love your music choices, too!) 😀
I thank you sooo much for this info. My mom was a Country Girl but we’ve lived in the city all my life. She never taught me. I have dried carrot & collard seeds. Do prepare them as you did with the paper damp towels too. Such great advice and we so desperately need it during these hard times. May God bless and continue to provide you bounty!
That was a great video. A lot of information in a short amount of time. I have grown okra before from store bought seeds. My seeds i saved didn’t grow. I directly planted them in soil. Now i will try to sprout them on kitchen counter. I love your accent. Im an old white guy from Tennessee. You are a great gardener!!
I'm a newbie to growing okra, I did this and grew 14 okra plants this summer (different varieties). They are still producing (Florida 9b) but with the temps beginning to drop I've left a couple of my favorites growing big to go to seed as I'm sure I'll lose them soon. These are SO easy to grow. I'm hooked, absolutely love them fresh - I snack on them raw in the garden - they are crunchy like other raw veggies, not slimy at all and also very good with veggie dip. Your videos are very helpful. 😊👍
That's awesome. 👏 I'm jealous of you all in Florida because you have a longer planting season. Your weather is more tropical. If I ever move from Georgia, I'll be living in Florida. Yes, okras are SO easy to grow. My kids love them so I grow it every year. Thank you for sharing. 😃 😊

Thanks for sharing. Do you just toss the seeds that don't sprout after 3 days?
You're welcome. You can give it some more days to sprout. If they don't, that mean those ones are not viable. Thank you for watching. ❤
