    It was great to see a world-class scientist like Andrew humbly take on a new challenge with a beginner's mind. Here are the timestamps:

    1:13 - Arm drag
    2:18 - RNC choke
    3:38 - Darce choke
    6:38 - Head & arm choke

    This CD has three separate relaxation/meditation sessions on it ruclips.net/user/postUgkxzpa8CIfZcihW4Z0F_ja0QF3W9KIatrsq guided by a very pleasant and direct male voice. Unlike so many other products of its type, this CD does not have bad synthesizer music, does not feature a phony or affected style of narration, and does not make any bogus claims to be subliminal or to re-train the brain or any of that balderdash. What you get is 1. a guided meditation for getting into a pleasantly relaxed state of body awareness while taking a stroll (superb for those easing back into a fitness routine slowly after an illness or injury) 2. A nice long breath-awareness relaxation session that if followed diligently can put you into very deep states of full-body relaxation and mental calmness, and 3. a buddhist-inspired meditation session designed to help you develop and maintain feelings of loving kindness toward not just yourself and your friends, but toward people you don't even like. The CD makes no claims to be designed for advanced meditators or for buddhists or hindus/yoga practitioners looking for very deep and esoteric stuff. It is geared more toward the average person who just wants to develop the habit of relaxation and stress relief through natural, healthy means. him, if you happen to be reading this, keep up the good work fella, and I love your accent. I would also like to note that I have never fallen asleep while listening to this product. I would like to kindly suggest to the reviewer who said this CD makes him fall asleep, that he might want to get checked to see if he has a sleep disorder, or if he is simply not setting aside ample time for restful sleep at night. A healthy person getting adequate rest at night should be able to go into deep states of mental relaxation without dozing off, if not all the time, then most of the time.

    So cool to see you and Andrew getting "out of your heads" and "into your bodies", literally! The future is all about embodiment and direct experience. Theory and mind-based realities are wonderful but incomplete. Congrats and thanks to you both for being such great theoreticians -- and role models!

    This was so cool! I was in (i don’t know how it is in english) basically standing up fight course and 1x week there was a BJJ course too, that was really cool to watch. Once after training our trainer just rolled with his girl, like a ball, so cool! I agree, it takes a lot to let someone mount you, not an everyday occurrence. This teaches a lot.

    Lex grab Huberman, Rogan, Bravo and yourself. Maybe Ronda Patrick & wim Hof in the mix. Make a fully realised huberman protocol informed BJJ gym. Where it's like a retreat. Where you get the full optimised experience. Ice bath eye stretches for flexibility, breathing, sauna, sensory deprivation, oxygen deprivation, nootropics, supplements. Watch recordings of your training in down time. Get lectures. Go do psychedelics in tents i dunno, get those crazy experts to design it and refine it in annual design Summits. Then open centres around the world.
    Ok ty bye

      Maybe also toss some self awareness shit in there like psychoanalytical/personality coaching, career planning, whatever's best.
      Provide people with the optimal personal development experience in both physical and mental domains... Using BJJ as a tool to train ego, learn to learn, etc. Maybe add some other stuff the the mix. Some heavy right brain creative learning of some skill, and some heavy left brain. Maybe teach people design principles and coding and BJJ. I dunno.
      Imagine what you could offer over a 10 day retreat.

    "lex fridman is strong"
    Im sure he is strong, because he works out so much and trains BJJ so much. However, BJJ black belts/brown belts are always "strong" when you get to grappling with them. Not only are his muscles strong, but he is leveraging his muscles, bone structure, weight, etc. to control the opponent. When you get controlled to that degree it can feel like the person is significantly stronger than you. It takes rolling with a physically small person to realize, oh this guy isn't strong, he is just good at BJJ.

    • @tommyrq180
      @tommyrq180 2 года назад

      Ok, yes. But a good practitioner ALWAYS has a very good grip. Usually surprisingly strong grip. You can measure it in a BJJ room using grip strength measurements. The best ones have the most powerful grips.
