I also just recently beat this one on the PS2 emulator to 100%. This game drove me fucking insane as a kid. I really, really wish that arcade racing games were still this intense and difficult. Seems they all hold your hand nowadays.
Replayed the game recently to 100% and despite it being frustrating with the difficulty it was a lot of fun, truly one of the best racing games of the ps2 era (and btw the game got it's online revived so you can enjoy the game for even longer)
This is quite literally my favorite game of all time; It's one I can just pick up literally any time and feel like a kid again as I go 250 MPH weaving through Tokyo traffic with the music just blasting lmao
i was 9 years old when i first played this game. it was such a fun game. me and my brother would play split screen and lift the trucks in to just to drive around and have fun in our own stories. nothing like in until we got out hands on gta San Sandreas
I played this for the 1st time on the PSP during quarantine in 2020 & had the time of my life with it. One of my favorite racing games & so glad I got to play it after missing out for so long. Love your videos as well, love the classic "Hey!" during the intros & the humor you splice in your detailed content. Keep up the amazing work! (Btw, where can I buy more surprise mechanic happy boxes? 😉)
Fun thing to note about the Xbox version specifically: you could essentially create your own playlist and switch to that if you had any music saved to your hard drive.
There is one thing to note about the original release. As far as I can tell, it's easier. Remix throws higher tier opponents at you far more often while the original kept them more balanced. But it's possible I'm misremembering things. MC2 had the dynamic difficulty system where consecutive wins increase the difficulty and any losses lower it (restarts not counting as losses), so could be that also plays a part in 3.

I love how you picked the golf as the first car since my mom drove the same golf (it was black) in my EARLY childhood lol, anyways amazing intro and gnawty being your small assistant in the garage is so cute
man this is genuinely my favorite video game, i remember i used to play hide n seek with my dad in the detroit map, really good memories, without this game i would've never been this much of a gamer, it is also what got me into tuner cars, well anyways thanks for coming to my ted talk
I’ve never played a midnight club game so it was interesting to watch the videos you’ve done on them. This one looks really impressive, I might try it out eventually. Thanks for the uploads!
This game is the reason I cant go three days without playing Mannie Fresh. Because of Midnight Club I have the music taste of someones uncle at the rec center
The video i've been waiting for...
I still have the PSP version of this game (with my PSP that still works) the thing i remember most about this game was the difficulty late game, the sense of speed is insane! This was also probably the game that got me into car culture. Yeah I knew about muscle cars and lowriders and super exotics growing up in the U.S. but at a friends house back in '06 on the PS2 was the first time I had ever seen a tuner car - it blew my mind as a kid that someone could take a normal traffic looking Scion xB and make it look like a real life hotwheels lol
Midnight club 3 was such a masterpiece the cars, the customization, the soundtrack it was the peak of racing games, i remember me and my little brother would play split screen and do races all day with power-ups
😂 What an amazing joke about those loot boxes...didn't expect that at all. One of the best jokes I heard this year. Completly forgot that you were getting some dude to fix my imaginary car by the end of the video. Great vid as always BlueTag. I watched dozens of your vids in last half a year or so when I found out about you. 😅👍 Big thumbs up for the content and your character.
Best racing game ever made hands down, change my mind. The soundtrack, car list, customization, gameplay, cities, everything about this game is great. Better than the NFS games from around the time and if you disagree with me, you’re wrong. Just kidding, or am I?

Yea, NFS Underground 2 is fun. But, when I want to feel CRAZY fun on racing game. Midnight Club 3 Dub Remix is always my go to. The behemoth amount of it's content never get you tired/bored playing. It makes me frustrated (cause missing checkpoint of open track layout) and laughed out loud (because how over the top the gameplay is). Really one of my core childhood memories of playing racing games after Gran Turismo.
wow midnight 3 it is a big upgrade from the 2nd game with all that the game was always fun for me and with the remix version of the game adding even MORE things to the game that was so cool to see and when online was up i suppose it was a cool way to play with other people with there customized cars doing races or free roam also in the Xbox version of the has widescreen support and im not sure about this one but i think you can add your own songs in to the game

I haven’t owned an OG Xbox in ages since the late 2000s and i could’ve still had it to this day unless i buy it again and the copy of this game cause i remember playing my own music.
Recently started playing midnight club LA on my xbox one and i fell in love with the game but i didnt knew that there was more midnight clubs games until i saw a breakcore artist Trashiii using the midnight club 3 dub remix cover on some of his songs. I will definetly try to get my hands on a copy of midnight club 3 dub remix once i 100% LA. This might be my new favorite racing game series
I love this game A LOT,is a masterpiece and is even better then any Need for speed game (yeah,i said it). Also you forgot to mention then in "arcade" mode you can customize the race like how many laps you want, many opponents and game modes then not apear in carrer mode like capture the flag and paint. Also the power ups for the arcade mode is really fun like in Mario Kart (even the opponents can use it and make capture the flag so much fun).
Sucks Rockstar left this game to be abandoned, it had awesome music and was so much fun to play This game also had a AWESOME PlayStation Portable port unlike EAs lazy spinoffs
This game was great! I never finished it, but i never felt like i needed to. It felt satisfying enough for me to just do races, buy the next car i wanted and customize it. And the customization!! Why cant modern racing games get even half the amount of customization this game (or NFS Underground 2) had?? Also, seeing the original beaver as your assistant cracked me up. That little guy will never not be funny.
Oh midnight club 3. Man i had so much good times here. The customization was next level here. Heck even better than need for speed cause we could customise bikes, sports cars, Super cars and choppers before need for speed did later
Nossa, eu descobri esse canal, amei, e depois de ver alguns vídeos comecei a pensar "égua, ele parece brasileiro", e ouvir esse maravilhoso "vai trabaiá fi" foi muito foda hhehehe
Oh hey, I remember you! I see that you're channel has been growing a lot since the last time I saw a video from you. That's AWESOME to see bro, keep up all the good work!
Dub edition had a car to suit everyone, Basic beginner 4 banger tuners, V8 muscle cars, SUVs, Muscle Trucks, it had High-end Luxury cars and Exotic sports cars as well as Sports Bikes and Choppers. MC3 Dub Edition Remix had it all.
As much as I love this game, one thing I'll definitely miss would be the pre-race cutscenes or voicelines from the major opponents (the garage guys getting voices and cutscenes are cool, but I wish I could love to hate the actual rivals). It's something you'd have in the other Midnight Club games that I think added a lot of charm. The other qualm I had were the limited customization options on Exotics and some higher-end tuners (Elise and most Class B Tuners). Then again, I can forgive this game a little bit because NFS Most Wanted didn't drop until later in 2005 (when that game had body kits for supercars), and because Gemballa as a stand-in for Porsche and Ferrari (Cayenne, 996 Turbo, and F355) is nice. At least Cheat Engine allows for slapping carbon fibre on supercars. As for the car selection itself, it's very but I think there's some omissions I think could have been cool (Mazda, Subaru, BMW, and Audi being missing seem odd in particular. The RX-7, RX-8, WRX, and M3 seem like natural fits this game, and it's weird the 05' Mustang GT, Toyota MR2, and Nissan 240SX didn't show up either. I'm aware of there being unused references to BMW and the Toyota Celica in the files, though.)
I played the sheeeeeit out of this, greatest video game soundtrack in my opinion. If PS5 can emulate PS2 games and this is available I'll rip it again. I had vivid memories of a muscle car I created in Dub Edition which based on what you said is identical and more in the later version I'll get that. Can't wait to rebuild that car and have a reference for a future car.
@@BlooTeg absolutely. PGR2 was one of my favorite games and still is. When activision shut down Bizarre Creations most of the devs migrated to Turn 10 and now we have Horizon.
With cheats, you can use any ability in any vehicle class. I remember using Roar on everything when the AI would become so annoying later on. You forgot to mention the collectables that unlock you some extra stuff, from new license plates, to liveries, to new riders for your bikes and choppers. This game has been brought back online, I cannot recommend it enough. The multiplayer events on arcade mode have a whole new set of powerups, new game modes with some returning from MC2, and yeah go ahead and try it out sometime. And lastly, I used to "mod" this game a while back. Remember the loading screen with that red VW Phaeton? And how it had a carbon fibre hood? Well, you can't normally do that. So I found out how to do it via hex editing the save file, thanks to someone here on RUclips, and yeah I've done it. Still looking for someone with enough skill to re-add the menu option to each and every car, since by the time you reach Class B vehicles, customisation options really, but really become scarce, with Exotics having nothing other than rims for body options, and paint plus liveries. Cheers once again, Blu.
F.i.g.h.t., Modern way of letting go, ghetto, gangsta, dammit man, overnight celebrity These are just the ones i remember right now The soundtrack in this game is a masterpiece
Awesome, honest video! Really liked the game and played the booms out of it. Finished it like 5 times. I'm going to sound like an ass here but the way you pronounce muscle is mussul, not muss-kel. Pronunciation doesn't change anything you want to tell us though!
Bro i was astonished to see that you talk portuguese 😂 and recently i played the whole game on an emulator and daaaaaaamn why did they kill this franchise , one of the best racing games ever
