    The fact that Jokic asked the front office to sign Westbrook speaks to Jokic’s basketball IQ even when he’s off the court. Like a lot of things on the court, he saw it before anyone else.

    • @AlanAdrienne
      @AlanAdrienne 4 дня назад +3

      Exactly! That's why he is now competing against coaches and not the players. His basketball IQ is astronomical

      This is all false him asking. Booth was interested in Russ and asked Jokic and Jamal about signing him and both gave their approval. Jokic not lebrob and making demands of front office. He just said yes he would be cool with playing with him and media has hijacked along with casuals to jokic was demanding it to FO and he wasn't because I know people in the FO

      He would also do well if he was a coach or GM.

    Few people realize that Kobe was a huge fan of Joker’s game too! He was an OG Jokić truther and they are lowkey cut from the same cloth in so many ways. Depp students of the game, relentless competitors, adverse to social media and frivolous fame, and proud girl dads. I really think they would have grow to be old friends 🥹

    Before the season started, I didn't have SUPER high expectations from Russ. All I wanted was a cool 10-5-5 on close to 45/30/70 splits, with great energy, solid defense, and most importantly, just be better than Reggie Jackson was. He has absolutely slaughtered those expectations to the point I feel bad for low balling him like that. As a starter he's averaging 15-7-6, on 50/34/62 splits (48% from the corners), forcing both the nuggets and whoever we play to increase their pace, which is great considering the nuggets have that mile high conditioning, he's allowed Jokic to show his off ball prowess in a way no one else has been able to before, considering the best passer Jokic has played with pre Russ was Facu Campazzo, he's absolutely clamped up to the point that I think he'd deserve all defense nods if he'd started the whole year, and best of all, he puts pressure on the rim like no one we've had in the Jokic era. With Russ playing like this, Jokic being Jokic, Jamal finally (hopefully) getting out of his normal beginning of the season slump, and AG coming back, I think a lot of people's opinions on the nuggets are going to shift dramatically. Since January 1st, we're the #2 offense, and the #5 defense, and if we weren't so terrible at 1st quarter defense, we'd be probably #3

      its crazy cuz i had super high expectations i genuinely though he was gonna eat off of jokic playmaking russ cutting his athleticism i even called both of them having triple doubles but even i with the high expectations didn't see this cuz i never thought hed be in consideration to be part of the starting 5

      It’s pretty insane that every Denver fans’ expectations for a former MVP this season were “please just be better than Reggie Jackson” and that wasn’t even considered disrespectful at the time

    Lately Murray has been staggering more with the second unit, while Russ plays primarily with Jokic. It’s working well, 4 blowouts in a row

    Appreciate your honesty about Russ but besides the criticism give him his props as well the brother averaged a triple double multiple times in a year. Yes he can work on his jumpers but I see him making those threes this year. I am biased because he is my favorite player and I am his #1 fan JDavis...lol

    Honest take and I appreciate it coming from a longtime Russ supporter. Some Lakers are so delusional and went hard on Brodie .
    OKC fans loved Russ regardless ( he always plays like a roller coaster). If you support him on his ups and downs, he plays even harder !!

    What I don’t like is y’all claiming like It’s all because of Jokic. Like he’s able to shoot the ball and pass the ball for Russ. Russ overcame through adversity, Jokic was the person to open the door of opportunity. It was a good move for everybody, can’t take from Russ what he’s accomplished

    • @jesstiss222
      @jesstiss222 4 дня назад +2

      Agreed! In the video they talk about how Russ leveled up Joker too but it definitely doesn’t get discussed enough. I love Joker but too many “Nuggets” fans want to give him all the credit for everything good and bash everyone else instead of recognizing how much the organization, Coach Malone, and Jok’s teammates have also put him in the position to be an MV3 and championship. Russ is a godsend and i’m SOOOOOOO happy he’s a Nugget now! 😊🙏🏾

      To rack up a triple-double in the same game NJ does shows RW's court vision and play-making proficiency and teamwork focus. The only two players to accomplish that twice (so far!), same team and season in NBA history speaks for their complimentary play.

  • @MrHellaPlatonic
    @MrHellaPlatonic 5 дней назад +1

    The way you negate some of the ball handling from Russ with the second unit is to stagger either Murray or Jokic with him at all times. That way he can alway have someone else handle bringing the ball up or initiating their own offense.
