Jokic is killing it. I know I am a Jokic diehard, but man I dont know if there has been anyone as valuable to their team in the past 20 years. Lebron would be in that conversation for what he had to put up with in Cleveland. I dont want to make assumptions, but there is an argument to be made that Jokic directly affected the growth we see in Aaron Gordon and Westbrook. Both were players people wrote off and now are thriving. Aaron Gordon is a legit playmaker off the bench now. Lets not forget that people were calling MPJ and Murray trash a month ago, saying they need to be traded. So many interesting storylines developing right now. If he keeps up this pace, people will look back on this year and be confused if we don't give MVP to Jokic. Its one of the best displays of offensive dominance in history.
Shai dropped 52 vs a tanking team. Jokic dropped 56 vs a tanking team earlier this year and tonight dropped 35/22/17 - the first player since Wilt to do 30/20/15 - against a streaking playoff contender. There are only 11 other centers in NBA history who have as many career triple doubles as Jokic has had this month, and half of those were before the 4th quarter. SGA is playing like an elite PG, but OKC would still be 1st seed with Brunson or Garland. Jokic is reinventing what big men and centers can be and there's nobody who could fill his position on the Nuggets and have them be remotely on this level. If that's not MVP, IDK what is.
Kings on a back to back in that elevation is brutal though bro. They got to the hotel at 4am then played that day. That's rough as hell. Watched that game they looked visibly exhausted lmao
@@20dieux Comes down to dribbling and speed of progressing the play as well. Jokic makes very quick decisions and doesnt hog the ball for too long (requiring very few dribbles), while creating much offense as the best guards in entire league. Of course it's beneficial that, as point center, the guy is huge, so it's harder to contain his passing options, not to mention the insane passes he pulls off on a regular basis.
It's almost impossible to make the case that any other player in the NBA is more valuable to their team than Nikola Jokic is to the Nuggets, given Jokic's night-in, night-out performances. As a metric, I prefer efficiency to usage rate. As Jokic gets most of his TDs within 3 quarters anymore, he's been completely sitting out the 4th quarters of games (he's no "stat-padder"). This necessarily drives down his usage rate. I'd like to see Shai EARN the MVP with a statistical case over Jokic, but lets be real: Jokic had 5 TDs in the last 5 games, all before the 4th quarter. Shai has had 2 triple-doubles IN HIS ENTIRE CAREER. That said, Jokic doesn't care (but his fans sure do).

Hi, my name is Chris. I am a Jokic highlight addict. I moved to Denver in 2015, His first year, not knowing what would happen to me later. In 2019 a guy at my job asked me if i liked basketball. I need help. I wait for these guys reactions like a crackerhead. At least he will retire someday & there will only be old highlights to jones for, but until that day they need to make the Nuggets play all year. 😆😆😆
THe thing with Joker is that every year he is noticeably better. We're on like 9 straight years of, "THIS ISNT EVEN MY FINAL FORM!" He goes back home to Serbia to study the secrets of Dark Horse Magic and comes back the next season with a bunch of bs no one has ever seen before.
At 4:58 the play was ran for Jamal and he stopped cutting. Just a breakdown in communication is all. No biggie. AG was upset that twice Jamal stopped his cut premature
Listen man, it's easy to got lost in "52 points game" BS... Jokic scored 56 vs Wizards and Nuggets still lost the game!? You need to see a broader picture here - OKC is a title contender WITHOUT SGA, and Nuggets would probably fight with Jazz and Pelicans for that 13th place in WC! SGA is a great player, i love'm, BUT... there's no way to even compare SGA with a Joker (still to play with all-star player)... And how did you come to "voter fatigue" is good??? If so - let's forget MJ, Kobe, Jabar, Bird, Hakeem, Magic, Iverson, Dirk, KG......... You don't get to "voter fatigue" on Picasso, do You? It's not a "theme for a season" it's a legacy for Life - and it has nothing to do with being politically correct!
IMO i think the MVP should always go to the best player period. If bot i think it just waters it down, Dont get me wrong SGA is a grest player not knocking him. But if you pit SGA on the Nuggs they may be a 7 or 8 seed. You put Joloc on the Thunder with how deep they are its an easy championship. Give it to the best player or whoever is having the best season statistically. Imo
Someone needs to make a movie called "Little" where Jokic finds and old novelty carnival game across the street at Elitch Gardens that let's him wish to go back in time and become a 120 lbs, 5 feet tall 16 year old and he becomes the greatest jockey of all time...but then gives it up to return to the Nuggets ... because he makes MORE people happy that way 🙂
Last time someone had those type of stats is.... never. 35 20 15 had Wilt, 1968 or 57 years ago. Over half a century no one repeated those type of stats and Joker did that last night. Everyone should respect that. Also it is about time when will he make 30 20 20 game, maybe some OT game or even a both sides very efficient game. Great reaction as always Ztay.
It's gonna be the first year in a while where I'm not gonna get upset over MVP, at least at this point. I personally think Jokic should get it, but if they give it to Shai, hey, I can see that, no issues there.
Jokic leads in number of touches per game, but he is like around 87th in the time he has the ball in hand. It shows how quick Jokic makes a read whether to pass or shot. That is the difference, his game IQ.
You had the best argument for SGA that I've heard so far. I am a Jok fan, but I think Jok is after the ring, MVP sure, but they don't care. I'm fine if SGA gets it, even with his best season so far.
If Jokic ends up having the statistically best season in NBA history, and isn't the MVP... that would completely invalidate the process for determining the MVP.
10:15 The amazing part isn't that he made it, the amazing part is he attempted it. Most Players would never attempt this shot up by 20 pts, because it will destroy their stats. But I guess this is just stat padding by Jokic right?
I agree I want Shai to win it this year as a Jokic fan. Jokic's usage is lower but he has most touches in the league so the argument people usually make is that he does more with less given his monster stats (he's more efficient basically).
Jokic is from another planet. Shay is good, but he's not a top five player in the world when everybody's healthy. Five rebounds and six assists are poor numbers. That's Westbrook's average at halftime in his prime. If Curry, Lebron and Durant were a little younger, Shay would barely be in the top ten. Shay will get the MVP for the same reason as Embiid. The dominance of selfish players should not be rewarded with the MVP.
Jokic gets mvp because he’s dominant in all stats. He’s proven he can score 40+ a game, he’s just not that kind of player. Sga is only a scorer. Thunder without sga are still decent. Nuggets without Jokic aren’t even play in

If anybody should have been MVP last year other than Jokic it's Luka 33.9/9.2/9.8 not SGA 30.1/5.5/6.2
If not jokic...luka deserved it last year not SGA...
Jokic is the best player to ever step on a basketball court. Forget rings and team stuff, just game vs game and production. He’s the greatest.
10:18 next couple of seconds.. PRICELESS... PTSD RETURNING 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Jokic putting up these stats with lower usage rate is just proof that he's not a ball dominant player or "ballhog" and he just makes these stats by being great.
First!!! Been waiting for this all day
Hi, my name is Chris. I am a Jokic highlight addict. I moved to Denver in 2015, His first year, not knowing what would happen to me later. In 2019 a guy at my job asked me if i liked basketball. I said I quit watching NBA after they hozed Nash's Suns with that Amare/Boris suspension BS. He told me the Nuggets have this guy Jokic I have to watch. I have been a Joker Junky ever since. I need help. I wait for these guys reactions like a crackerhead. At least he will retire someday & there will only be old highlights to jones for, but until that day they need to make the Nuggets play all year. 😆😆😆
Respect to a true basketball knower and appreciator ZTAY! Always with the best game reviews.
He might not have the resume to be called the GOAT...
But Jokic is the BOAT.
JOKIC IS THE HORSE!!
Jokic thinking about the horses after that 3/4 shot lol
Serbian Jesus 🇷🇸🛐-Big Honey 🍯 -Shrek 🧟
I'm bout ta get disrespectful with my glazing of this 🏀 God.
Hey Z-tay. 35. 22. 17. & 1 miracle 🤷😲😳🤯
His foot was on the line
Check the stats, Joker has the second-best game in league history. I think it was Karem who had more points with less assists?
Wtf! Now that you said jordan poole, i cant get it out of my head lol
I like the overhead (drone?) camera for loooooooong passes where you see full court, they should call it "Jokic vision"
Lovin that you know we’re Lovin the nuggets content. Cheers dude. Here for it.
I am ok If Jokic doesnt get MVP he got 3 already,we still at mid of the season tho, lots more to play.
He deserves MVP but if he doesn’t win then he can always have the finals mvp!!! 🙏🏼
Imo
Having to go to denver in that altitude on the second game of a back to back is brutal I'd literally die lmao
Jokic is just league of his own,no comparing, like absolutely don’t even think to compare 🐐
Jokic 🐐 : basketball ✅
Soccer ✅
Football ✅
Joker is spoon feeding his team, Shai is just a scorer end of MVP conversation !
12k in 8 hours is insane. Good shit ZTAY
i see ZTAY nuggets reaction I LIKE super fast!
You can’t use usage rate. Jokic usage rate isn’t high because he’s very decisive. He never holds the ball for long periods of time.
New cameras in Denver SUCK! They just started. Terrible views
The MVP isn't a participation trophy. You have to be the best player in the NBA, and that is Jokic.
It's gonna be the first year in a while where I'm not gonna get upset over MVP, at least at this point. I personally think Jokic should get it, but if they give it to Shai, hey, I can see that, no issues there.
💯💯
Now Jokic back to #1 on the 3pt%
Bro the fact that jokic has better stats with less usage makes him even more valuable. He does more to help his team win with less touches
Jokic leads in number of touches per game, but he is like around 87th in the time he has the ball in hand.
It shows how quick Jokic makes a read whether to pass or shot.
That is the difference, his game IQ.
Man watching Jokić is so entertaining.
You had the best argument for SGA that I've heard so far. I am a Jok fan, but I think Jok is after the ring, MVP sure, but they don't care. I'm fine if SGA gets it, even with his best season so far.
Jokic is the best quaterback in the game.
Joker is the MVP dude is averaging triple double with no stat padding is just pure! Hope he can Win another chip 🏆 w/ Russ.
Yeah this was the first time they used that camera angle and that shit was annoying I’m not gonna lie
Great video
5:39 he channeled his inner Jokic for that pass
Always look for your reaction after the nuggets games. Especially your breakdowns. The more pauses the better
I agree I want Shai to win it this year as a Jokic fan. Jokic's usage is lower but he has most touches in the league so the argument people usually make is that he does more with less given his monster stats (he's more efficient basically).
Nuggets are on fire as of late. 13-2 last 15 games and at least 10 of those wins have been blow outs
Nuggets are doing really good! If they keep this up they can win the chip! LETS GO!
Jokic is on another level
I believe Clay Thompson had a 60 points half and 70+points game, and he wasn't even in the MVP discussion 🙄
Kinda fw the altitude broadcast angles in this one. Dynamic but still easy to follow.
Lol. "Shai deserves it", yeah no. You know no ball, so no more views from me.
MVP should be given to players who earned/deserve it. Voter fatigue is a dumb thing. Fatigue is the reason MJ doesn't have 8 MVPs.
Jokic gets mvp because he’s dominant in all stats. He’s proven he can score 40+ a game, he’s just not that kind of player. Sga is only a scorer. Thunder without sga are still decent. Nuggets without Jokic aren’t even play in
SLAVA JOKICU! Lets go SLAVS!!!! Da ZTAY! :D I was gonna say SGA has been top-notch, wouldn’t mind if he wins the regular season MVP, but Jokic can snag the chip and the finals MVP!
what do you do when you livestream? I'm asking for everyone who sees this benefit. i personally dont watch livestreams, live or after the fact. unless its condensed to a short 15 minute vid on youtube lol
when jokic hit that long ball all i could do was laugh
Jokic is the most all around perfect baller of all time.
"The Lakers need a Jokic." Which team doesn't need a Jokic?
