I had a 1983 Citation SS in black with the longer 4500 sized track. It was truly fun to drive. With five crazy teenagers saddled up on the seat (my legs were up on the cab), the sled would hold a wheely for miles with just a touch of throttle.
I had this exact same sled. My dad bought it brand new in 83. I was 16 at the time. 73 to 75mph was all that it would do with a 125 pound kid on it. Lol This is my bucket list sled to buy again. I have a new sled but I'd still love to do a vintage ride with something like this... Just that I'm 60 pounds heavier now. 🤦😂
Nice...Iam doing a Cleanup/resto on my dad's old 1980 Moto Ski mirage...it is basically a twin to your Citation but is Orange of course...I did a Resto/cleanup of my 1980 MotoSki Special which is the orange twin of the Citation SS...I put that one up on RUclips on my channel if you want to see have a look.
In the opening shot of the rider jumping on the sled. How did you get the suspension to sit so high, and springy too ? Different springs or spring installiation location ? Never seen a Citation sit so high. Did it help the ride comfort ?
I loved my 4500 Citation. Most reliable sled Ive ever owned
I own a 1983 4500, bought for my son when he was 10. Prefect for young rider, he's couple years older but loves fish tailing around the yard on it .
My Dad had this sled, it was the first one I ever rode.
