Assam is one of the last remaining frontiers in the entire world which is fighting hard to ensure that these majestic animals can walk freely on this earth. Rhinos, Tigers, Elephants, Hollock Gibbons, Adjutant storks, Pigmy hog, Golden Langur, River Dolphins etc many of the animals which are already extinct from their other natural habitats still roam the plains of Assam. Good to see that common people are working hard to save these species. Few days ago a lady from Assam who has been working relentlessly to save the Greater Adjutant Storks had gone viral. These are our heroes. More power to these people!
This documentary is a true gem! The dedication of the conservationists and villagers to protect these incredible creatures is inspiring. A huge shoutout to the filmmakers and Guardian for sharing this heartwarming and vital story. It's a must-watch for anyone who cares about wildlife and conservation
The amount of depth and rawness this documentary has is incredible. It's because of people like Mohit, local biodiversity thrives. Hat's off to the team of guardian for this documentary and shoutout to the wildlife biologists and conservationalists working day and night to protect the species. We want more of India's biodiversity showcased on this channel.
Great Documentary... However, Guardian should also focus on the Centre's approval for Oil and Gas exploration by Vedanta near the Hollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary . It will seriously threaten Hoolock Gibbon's habitat by causing irreversible changes to the pristine ecosystem .
I never seen such emotional Documentry before. thank you Guardian. i am from Assam my home near to The Hollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary, formerly known as the Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary or Hollongapar Reserved Forest.
This is an outstanding video-beautifully captured and documented. Congratulations to the entire team! @Ishika @Luja @Ragi @Chinmoy 🎉 🎉 Fantastic works!!!
Don't know why but I like their howling sounds 🐒 Baghjaan is not far from my resident. Definitely going to visit The man's house one day to see little twik. 🐒 হলৌ উঠিল টকৌ গছত লগাই খদৌ মদৌ জে জৌ কৈ সৰিল নিয়ৰ হ'ল জলৌ জপৌ । Reminds back of my childhood days💚 It was told to us to receit to improve our pronounciation.
This documentary show the gap still existing that can be destructive for the gibbons . Even PM supported these efforts. All stakeholders needs to come together for this beautiful creature. This can be a new example of man nature working tougher for a better tomorrow.
The special thing about the whole documentary is how the locals out there had built a network of connections with the gibbons and they count themselves among them as their fellow beings. This is really special and as well as wonderful how in some parts of our country we still have that godly connection between our humans and animals.❤
I cried when the female gibbon's body was cremated while male looked from above. Poor Twik.. i hope he/she is doing well. Next bucket list is to visit Barekuri. Keep up the good job, Mohit Khura.
We live in Assam in a Numaligarh area close to deopahar reserve forest , and recently an elephant was killed by locals . We all are loosing our ecosystem sadly. Hope mama realise this sooner.
What a beautiful documentary hats off to the team and the conservationist. Hope this film helps in sensitising the government and forrest department officials to safe guard gibbons ❤
Sometimes being human feels like being one of those stories, where good verses evil. The enemy just wants to watch the world burn. You think this could only happen in a story, because who would destroy their own world. The enemy is powerful, & a few seemingly insignificant individuals stand up to the darkness against all the odds, putting themselves in harms way for the greater good. Its worth remembering, us 'nobodies' out number them, & each tiny change billions of us make in our small lives, are billions of changes. Power to the (little) people.
What a pure expression of love! You guys rock in this field. Keep ascending! Your superb presentation melted my heart. It’s not a documentary; it’s the life story of a truly remarkable man of Gibbon. 🌼
There is small population in and around Kheti village in Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh too and people there are hardcore hunters. Please please please 🙏 try and spread the awareness there too

How terrible at 09:30 is that gibbon dead from smoke inhalation? Or just in shock from the fire? Oil is such big business everywhere but it’s such a fine line between safety and disaster… so many countless times we’ve seen oil spills and blowouts. Yet nobody learns.
I wish people all around were as understanding as Mohit. These animals need our help, we have destroyed their homes. The government should intervene and work to protect all endangered species at all costs. We don't own this planet, it's not just ours.
The oil spill that occur in our own country did not covered by any of the social news broadcasting and news about the endangered spices being decline severely and problem of being electrocuted is none of their concern. This documentary need to be seen and being aware about things that lies ignorant are our responsibility.
They are also widely present in dehing patkai rain forest(national park), but the government has never shown any interest to preserve them. On the other hand oil India has cut down many trees covering huge hector of lands for drilling oil
If you want to save them, then Human should go away from their home. There should not be any contact between human and those gibbons. Because Human will destroy everything 👈

Mohit Chutia is a true gem 💎..Thanks to The Guardian...❤
Guardian should cover the recent oil drilling permit given to Vedanta inside the Hoollock Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary in Assam.
Recently Guwahati High Court given order to stop the drilling.
I know it sucks but without cheap and sustainable energy a country will not move forward
Wtf how is it Cheap and Sustainable? @@rmf9567
