"He has a surprisingly soft voice for the lord of blood."
"Oh nevermind."
You must abide, alone a while. 😇
WELCOME, HONORED GUEST. 😈
@@noggy3133he still has a pretty soft voice tbh, when he says "Miquella is mine and mine alone" and his death lines. I think when he sayd the "welcome honored guest" is a bit more of an unnatural, intimidating voice he is trying to do to the tarnished.

Mohg, Lord Of Blood: I couldn't agree more.
Show me someone who's beat this boss without magic or bleed and no summons

@@bryanmartinez1282 that's crazy impressive, it took me longer than that with a katana lol. What level were you? I'm not sure what level most people are fighting him at
@@nickkelly3199 I was level 100, but I did leave the fight to upgrade my weapon to lvl 24.
@@nickkelly3199 I just did 1 hour ago, str build, took me quite a bit of trying things out (changing weapons, weapon arts and learning the moveset), in the end I got him good with a giant hammer using the Royal Kight's resolve and bonking with jumping heavies for 1.7K a hit, I was lvl 148 and still struggled a lot against him, mostly the bleed and he gets relentless in the second phase + the heal since I did not know of the tear flask. Best boss I fought so far, he is not too fast, not too slow, does not have stupid long combos but hits like a truck, I loved to find a challenge that I could not just overcome with just "go and explore more", the theme also slaps. Also I used no summos.
The cutscene caught me so off guard the first time I saw it. I was expecting him to sound like some kind of deranged priest or mad scientist, or to have a super deep growling voice, but he's so bizarrely soft-spoken that it actually took me by surprise.
He’s the director from Chernobyl
@@Neo2266. He’s also Titchy Gren from Dark Souls 2, who is the guy who introduces you to the covenant of the God of Blood in that game. Seems he went up the corporate ladder.
Because Mohg use to be a consort/advisor to Miquella. His soft voice serves the narrative perfectly as he has to influence decisions
I like it in a weird way
At first I though his voice sounded very odd, like the voice actor had to be as quite as possible while also having to yell “… to the birthplace of our dynasty!” if that makes sense but thinking about it he talks and projects like someone who isn’t used to talking. Which makes for some who’s been isolated outcasted most of his life. He’s probably not used to talking or talking loudly.
He is so badass that he literally counts down his second phase

Just go play other games. I know you were probably ironic, but killing mohg in three hits in your FIRST try ever, it's just a crime.
If you were wondering, during the fight he speaks Latin as he creates the rings of blood. He goes 3-2-1, then shouts "NOTHING! NOTHING! NOTHING!!!!" as he bleeds you.

This has to be the best boss fight in this game, maybe even the greatest of all time. The way he slowly comes out of the cocoon and says "It's Mohgin' time!" and then mohgs all over the player was the most memorable moment in my whole gaming career. Literal chills.
LMAO
And the part where he mohgs his brother then mohgs on his face
@@alexc4731 Ahh I'm moghin daddy
What the fuck did i just read...
Definitely. The boss fight of all time.
What makes Mohg an incredible character to me is how his backstory perfectly ties into what he has become.
The world rejected him and called him evil, so he embraced it and became a monster.
Yea. Mohg is my favorite character in this game so far, and I don’t even own the game *yet*
Yes. Unlike his brother, who loves, even knowing that no one is going to love him back.
You guys do realize he is a pedo creep and thats why he is obsessed with miquella and his curse, he ripped him and his caccoon from the base of the haligtree so he could be his new consort/pedo lover, also another failure of mallenia failing to protect her brother.
Yes, THIS! I feel bad for Both Mohg and Morgott, because all they needed was for people to love them, they were hated for circumstances outside their control, Mohg would've turned out different if his younger years weren't as bad as they were. Mohg embraced his evil because honestly everyone was rejecting him so why do good for those people? Morgott somehow became the polar opposite. Morgott chose to stay and protect the Erdtree with a passion in his heart, even though EVERYONE hated him for a birth defect he couldn't control (and in all honestly because of how he was treated Morgott hated himself also). If he'd gone down the same path as Mohg, that would've been understandable. That's why I feel for these 2 characters in particular, because life didn't just give them a bad hand, it gave them the entire deck of bad cards. :(
Morgott loved even though he knew he wasn't receiving love because of the curse he was born with.
Mohg Hated everybody who wronged him and decided to embrace his cursed blood and, in turn became a monster.
So it’s the worlds fault he is hated. The Golden Order’s corruptness.
God it makes me feel dirty beating such an epic boss by throwing jar upon jar of literal shit at him and then getting smacked around until he died of what I can only assume was cringe.

Mohg's voice actor, Con O'Neill, is someone many of you might recognize. He's been in a ton of British shows, as well as HBO's Chernobyl and the recent comedy Our Flag Means Death. I looked him up randomly while watching Our Flag and lost my shit when I saw he played Mohg
"65 frost buildup per hit, well that's not great but its not horrifying"
He is also the voice actor of Titchy Gren from Dark Souls 2, another blood obsessed character.
He’s also has a small role in the Batman. Man’s got such a strange but memorable voice.

@@sandman5522 and that Miquella is cursed by forever looking like a child
Incest is okay so long it's gay: Change my mind
I really do appreciate how they animated his wings. Most of the time winged creatures/people look like they're just floating around while wings flap. Mohgs look like they have weight to them and actually have to work to get him airborne. Obviously it's not the case but it looks really realistic and aesthetically pleasing to see it. Even some movies have a hard time getting gravity across with flying creatures.
What I also like is the fact they actually accommodate his size. Most wings, artistic wise, would be physically impossible to lift fantastical beings off the ground. The most famous example being the dragons in Skyrim. Their wings are far, far too small to lift them realistically off the ground. However, Mohg here has a wingspan nearly three times his height, allowing him to, realistically, lift himself off the ground.
Another amazing detail to his wings is that they're a combination of leather and feathers, giving him an almost demonic/angelic look.
yeah I noticed specifically in anime, wings aren't actually animated. this is usually because of low budget, but it's nice to see someone like mohg

How do you get the quote wrong in a video that has subtitles?
I find this to be really unsettling. He (or it) kept the corpse of a child this whole time. And I cannot begin to imagine what he (or it) does with said corpse.
Yes, and said child is also somewhat his brother/father/mother
@@casquinhaS2 Miquella is his half brother, but everyone loves him.
According to a theory, Mogh wanted for another entity than the greater Will to take over the Land Between, but in order to do that, amm the conditions that apply to the greater will must also be applied to that other entity : a god (Miquella is eligible), a lord (Mogh wants that place, he wants to establissed his own dynasty) and a marriage between them (the ring he puts on Miquella's hand).
But Miquella refused to meet Mogh, so he kidnapped him, and probably tried to "corrupt" him by biding their blood. I believe that's why it's Miquella bleeding, but it's Mogh coming out of the blood.
So call off the FBI, it's just an heretic blood ritual, nothing to see here !!!

For anyone struggling with this fight, use the purifying crystal tear on your physique flask. It gets rid of the curse effect he puts on you, meaning he won't do any damage when he starts chanting "Nihil!". Also there's a shackle you can find in the lyndell catacombs that stuns him. I didn't notice what either of these two things did until after I beat him and they would've made it way easier.

There's also that Crucible Knight on the other side of the bridge.
It's interesting how Mohg's great spell is just him chanting 'Three...Two...One... Nothing! Nothing! Nothing!' in Latin.
Nihil means "Perish!" rather than "Nothing!" here.
@@paypigdonatedonate 'Perish' for Nihil is an extremely loose translation, especially if you're using 'Perish' as an imperative. There are multiple other words closer to it, such as 'Pereo!' and so on. If you meant something closer to 'annihilate', then Nihil would be plainly wrong. @Vishal Mishra just because it's different doesn't mean it's good. And you're missing my point, a new mechanic that means the player takes unavoidable damage should not have made it into the game. My point is that the damage is completely unavoidable, even with the obscure item that not all players will have, or know that it's supposed to be used. It just feels like a cheap way to make the game harder
Always knew the DLC would start from here. Too many unanswered questions...
I first read "Mohg, Lord of Blood Loss", then I saw it was quite accurate.
When I first played this game and I reached the Siofra River Depths, I could see in the distance the palace building and wondered a) can you go there and b) what kind of a boss could possibly be there? It was two months of playing through the story and after countless hours and bosses gone by, I finally got to Mohg. Worth the wait. Such an exciting and challenging boss
Yeah I wondered if that would even be a playable area. So glad it is! So cool starting from the bottom, to the middle level, then this.
Between him and Rykard, Mohg is easily one of the coolest bosses in this game for the voice acting alone, never mind the actual fight.
I remember first walking into lower Nokron from the Siofra River Well. I was like level 7, just exploring and wandered a little too far. @@StevieDeez As far as I know that's absolutely Miquella. Mogh kidnapped him to forcibly become his consort and take advantage of Miquella's Empyrean status so he could gain power. I think a character says Miquella's still alive inside that cocoon even after Mogh's fight, so they could be definitely saving him for DLC content
Everything about the fight is art, the music, the scenery, the voice acting. It all just perfectly syncs.
This is the perfect boss fight and character for me
-The best phase transition
-The iconic nihil
-His badass spear
-best lore
-awsome design
-perfect character
-arguably the best theme
-badass powers
-a disqusting MF
-plus the omen twins are the best
One of my favorite characters in soulsgames
Fun fact: blood lost gives Mohg a buff. But you can still bleed for extra damage then use Black Knives to kill him before Nihil
Great video, thanks for posting. Thanks also for taking your time so we could see all his moves. That was super helpful and epic. On my own fight I was so focused on staying alive I missed some of the animations. 🎉
I love how you can get a spell called "Bloodboon" after defeating this boss.
i didnt got that spell??
@@re-atherthing4605 you have to go to the finger reader in the roundtable and give the remembrance and choose the spell
@@smorgborg oh ok ok, thx
I shouldn't fight this boss at lvl 80. IT WAS HELL
A demon lord with a birth-defect being desperately in love with a 12 year old boy and kidnapping him is the most G R R Martin thing ever.
"I am the fat of Miquella, and I've never known a diet." -This dude's player character
he's one of the best bosses in this masterpiece game. wish we will get many bosses like him, the Dragonlord and the Elden Beast which more amazing and badass in Elden Ring dlcs(I believe there will be dlcs)🔥🔥
It’s gotta have,it would be unwise and unlikely not to follow the tradition, beside
@@NguyenQuang-tm3ou yes it is, my Lord
Nah man, doubt theres DLC for this one, I mean, its already 5 times bigger than any Soulsborne what else do you want?
@@justanotherblackwhitemicke7817 Always up to FromSoft to expand the lore even more and give more content, gonna be more than a year to see anything like that though.
fuck elden beast tbh
Miquella is definitely coming back as a dlc boss.
I'm not sure What does He's looks like when He's alive, a Prince Charming archetype.
Try to keep them at arms length.
@@Zerokin I think he will look very androgynous
@@Zerokin Mohg and Miquella appear together in the opening cutscene with Mohg holding Miquella. And yes Miquella does look a bit small because he was cursed with eternal childhood.
Miquella is cursed to eternal childhood so unless he’s as much as of a fucking monster as his sister is then I don’t see him being a boss.
The voice acting really is some of my favourite in the whole game
It's either this or Morgott for my favorite boss in this game. And those two will both be alongside Isshin, Owl Father, Gael, Kos, Artorias, Sir Allone, Sister Friede, Champion Gundyr, Genichiro, and quite a few others as legendary boss fights that From Software has churned out on a regular basis.
Every time I died to this boss I kept saying I got Mogh'd. Love this fight.
YOU GOT MOGH'D. BLOATLORD IS MOG
Crazy that nobody ever seems to mention Demon of Hatred who I think is the hardest boss I’ve ever faced in any From game.
@@gamhacked Demon of Hatred is hard as hell and a pretty good boss, but I still prefer most other bosses From Software has made. That's a boss that could've been perfect for Bloodborne with a few tweak
@@NocturneJester I mean you can apply that observation to any boss. There's a recipe to beat anyone But I'm not saying he's not fair. Just the hardest I think I've faced (and that's not always an easy thing to objectively say, because you perform differently every day, have different quality equipment, etc.),
It's just that Demon of Hatred can punish you very quickly and severely for a mistake, has a very long fight, and has a large arena full of hazards. He can one shot you but also whittles down your health gradually so you run out of healing.
For me personally he was harder than Malenia, Kos, Maria, Gael, and Friede. Lothric and Lorian come close, and Midir comes even closer, but in terms of the sheer number of attempts it took for me this guy takes the cake. (Actually, Mohg comes close too. Mohg was the hardest boss in Elden Ring for me).
Anyway, that's just my experience and every person will be different.
The bosses are just unique
Demon souls dark souls bloodborne.....
If its your first time playing a From game, probablym
Its mainly just reskin
the story bosses are the rest arent lol
@@shadowofbosstown and what? Every boss have something unique. Dont be dumb
This guy is my favorite boss in the game.
Name - mohg
Favorite name - mohg lester
Hobby - kidnapping
Likes - miquella
Weapon - poky stick
Abilities - NIHILL! NIHILL!! NIIIHILLL!!!
Hates - tarnished
Phase 2 - wings
Honorable mention - welcomes you to his dynasty
For anyone who doesnt know the lore, this boss is Morgott the omen king twin brother
I was in a party chat with a friend while on this boss and he asked what was going on so I decided to narrate the cut scene, his sounds of confusion were great
“Anyway, the missing twin brother of this winged naked chick is stuffed inside that cocoon with only his arm sticking out. He bleed for some reason and this goathead dude pop out. The goathead dude propose to the guy in the cocoon, say welcome you and proceed to beat the shit out of you. Oh, and did I mention that the guy in the cocoon is actually physically a child?”
@@KhangNguyen-um4rg LOL
@@KhangNguyen-um4rg you know, your not actually that far off. Although I wasnt aware of the child thing until a little after the fight
Just replace cocoon with spider egg.
Also replace goathead with a joke I made about him being literally horny both physically and mentally
3:06 nihil, Niiiihillll, NIHIIIIIILLLLLLLL!!!!
Mohg is easily the coolest and best fight in the game, he is a very fair fight in that he idles a lot, and have very simple strings that can be learned well, he doesnt have a move that just ends the fight like Malania.
And the presentation is amazing, he quite literally counts down to his second phase. His arena is large enough that it makes his area denial moves feel good to plan attacks around. Mohg is just pure fun to fight, you really feel you are fighting against a truly godly being.
Gameplay wise, all bosses in Elden Ring should aspire to be more like Mohg, which is kind of ironic.
@@keegan5778 Godfreys pretty goated aswell he's my favorite character
@@awoo_good_boah Godfrey and Mohg are the two best fights by a landslide for me. Both seem equally fair but challenging and the music and buildup behind them is also awesome and makes you all the more immersed
The mix ups are excellent. Definitely one of my favorite bosses in all soulsbornering.
Btw I’m 108 with crucible knight armor (antler one) and I’m taking a lot more damage
Just realized Mohg was inside the egg and we walk in on him violating Miquella.
"Mogh, Fat Malenia isn't real, she can't hurt you."
*Fat Malenia:*
Kinda weird that despite being biological twins, Morgott and Mohg have little to do with one another. Like, there's not even an item description that hints at what either brother thought of each other or if they used to be close but had a falling out or something.
Morgott wasn't loved by anyone (aside from Godfrey) so Mogh did not love him too.
And considering how Morgott hates all the other shard bearers we can assume he did not think too highly of Mogh.
@@juwe7143 You'd think that, at least during their formative years before Mohg went batshit, they'd be close considering they were in the same boat as outcasts.
@@SirGrimLockSmithVIII I think their personalities were just too different. Mogh did not become what he is, he had a twisted mind all along..
They at least agreed on keeping the Frenzied Flame locked.
Protecting the entrance to the Three Fingers you have a Morgott seal and a Mohg Illusion guarding it!
I commend you for beating this dude solo! Took me forever to beat him with a fully-upgraded mimic tear at lvl 135. I guess I needed more vigor as the blood absorbing ability just killed me in 2 shots until i managed to use flask quickly.
This is like a More Evil and twisted Version of Muzgus or whatever that block head from Beserk. I fucking love it
Mozgus
@@VictorIV0310 My Dude 😎
Mozgus except he is also Depraved Gay
That's not even getting into his lore. He's like a yandere gay Aerys Targaryen if you replaced the pyrophilia with pedophilia.
Well we can definitely tell which is his bedroom voice and which is his every other voice.
This does put a hurt in my soul.
Nihil?
Nihil.
NIHIIIIL!
His theme is soo freaking good! One of the best fight in the entire game.
I love how the music stops before he casts his final Nihil and transforms into his second phase! Chills!
Man you definitely a beast at this game I wish you can show us your stats and gear you use
Such a good character design! When these wings come out?
yesterday
"Here at FromSoftware, we pride ourselves on morally complex characters with shades of gray and redeeming qualities so the player has to decide for themselves if slaying this boss is truly the right thing to do. Anyway, here's a nine-foot-tall raven-winged death cultist Satan in black robes who calls himself the Lord of Blood, wants to marry his own underaged nephew carries a giant Satan pitchfork and fights by spraying flaming blood at people and it's gonna be fucking rad as hell."
This boss was so fucking cool. I loved how he switches to his second phase, it's so badass.
This guy was levelled up the wazoo before fighting him, which is really the only reason he beat him LOL
Kinda the ONLY option at that point lol because at the average level this boss destroys you with his blood hex.
Goddamn this dude is probably my favorite boss in the game. The whole blood god theme is pretty cool but the fight I found especially amazing. His transformation at 3:04 and the way the music changes is so fucking sick, even though I died to him a couple times I wasn't even mad cause this fight was so damn good. GOTY 2022
When he imprisons you in blood, I was in awe how amazing that was
Favorite boss in the game.
From the way he moves, speaks, and attacks, to the lore describing him as likely the most heinous of any entity in The Lands Between...
And oh my god his ATTACK PATTERNS, so viciously aggressive without stepping into being artificially difficult, as some bosses in this game do.
He just carries himself like a Lord of Blood should.
Didn’t play the game but enjoying these boss fights. Epic !

Mohg is most definitely my favorite boss the setting, the boss design, and the music….OHHHHH THE MUSIC!! Mohg’s song is SOOOO GOOD alone it’s great but when translated from Latin and into English It just blows my mind.
So this is Margot’s twin
Mohg: Bro Morgott the Golden Order doesn’t want you to know this but the Kid in the Haligtree is free you can just take him.
Morgott: Mohg no-
