I love miyazaki take on bosses, often inspired by the unknown and mysterious. you see, what makes malenia so great is that she is something i've never faced before: a naked woman
I've never faced an enemy like her before, not that she's naked, she's way to difficult. That spinning anime attack is a nightmare, God I don't want to go anywhere near her.
Things to keep in mind for this fight: 1. She dreamt for so long 2. She is Malenia 3. She is the blade of Miquella 4. She has never known defeat 5. You will witness true horror
She honestly could, she’s one of the only bosses in the game that doesn’t have a message that says something like “god slain” after you kill her, and seeing that a popular theory about future dlc is that it’ll involve Miquella in some way I definitely think she’ll return if that’s the case
That's the best part of souls lore, it doesn't matter if they ate a god, are gods or are blessed by some great power. All of them will be crushed under your determination.
I absolutely love her butterfly wings in the 2nd phase because some butterflies are associated with decay and rot. Her design is also one of the best in the game imo.
@@NuclearShot You can get a similar Armor Set, but I must agree since this is an incredibly well executed boss. And you can get the Arm Blade as a Weapon!
@@Bigtwinkissac209I don't remember correctly, but i heard we will meet Miquella in DLC, soooooo. There might be a great possibility that it can lead us to a different outcome
@@popkhorne5372 Unfortunately, based on her Lore and the Lore of the Rot it seems defeating her was actually bad for their world. The Rot is the byproduct of the Erdtree and there will always be a vessel for it. Most of the vessels for the Rot never last due to its toll on the vessels body, I mean Malenia lost most of his limbs already, she wanted to remain undefeated so no one else would be the vessel for it but her. So another Vessel for Rot would appear.
I like how the bosses in this game doesn't even want to fight at all, they just waited there for ages with their immortality... waiting for someone to give them the everlasting peace that they want.
@@eythorl97k74 I just can't beat her after 3 days of playing.... I didn't lose to a single boss. Solo'd them all. Solo'd my friends Radahn fight. Solo'd gank bosses. But I just cannot beat her.
@@papermachevolcano1480 I get what you mean, but her design is genuinely one of the coolest I’ve seen in video games that doesn’t involve evoking incredibly explicit biblical imagery or is just a massive fucking moon.
Lore wise though, she’s a very shitty Demi God born of technical incest, she ruined an entire part of the Lands Between because Mog kidnapped her brother, she didn’t even attack the right person, Radahn was actually a really nice Demi god and she fucked him up.
Her transformation into the second form is PURE ART. The lines, the scene, the music, just absurd, crazy goosebumps everytime I see it, thank you Miyazaki-san.
True horror is trying 46 times to beat her first phase, finally beating it with 4 flasks left, and then dying in one hit to the second phase 2 seconds after the cutscene ends.
@@svenhoek8615 I know! It took me forever to get through her first phase and the same thing happens . I died instantly . I have now gotten to the second phase a good few times but I can’t survive for more than 15 seconds . Sometimes less than 5 lol. She’s nuts with that dive Bomb and sword dance crap. I know people have figured it out , but it’s beyond me. It feels like the only real chance I have is to just get lucky and have her AI decide not to use those two attacks during a certain attempt
As great as Malenia’s design and lore are, this fight also took me SIX. FUCKING. DAYS. to conquer. Even Ornstein and Smough didn’t take me that long. This was, hands down, the hardest boss I’ve defeated in any video game EVER.
I would like to state that I did the souls series backwards and went in and steamrolled orenstien and enough my first try after hearing about them for so long. One of my favorite souls moments of all time
Everything about Malenia's design is so goddamn cool. The parts of her which were consumed by the Scarlet Rot have been amputated or removed, replaced with prosthetics, like her left leg and right foot. Her eyes have also rotted away. I also imagine she must feel pretty woozy from the decaying effects of the Scarlet Rot in general. So Malenia is not just deadly & skilled, she's a deadly & skilled, blind CRIPPLE afflicted with a wasting, unnatural disease that destroys the mind & body-if it dosn't mutate you into something horrific first- and she can STILL annihilate you in the blink of an eye.
Huge tip when fighting Malenia (or any other boss after Leindell for that matter): use Uplifting Aromatics, it increases your attack by 10% and reduces the damage of the next attack taken by 90%, and that's not all! You can carry 10 of those on you per bossfight! It really helped me tank the stupid Waterfowl Dance
Beating this boss made me feel more euphoric than beating any other boss in any game ever. It’s been half an hour and my heart rate is still through the roof…
She’s the most noble Boss of the game, her love and devotion to Miquella is infinite, she gives into the rot in this fight to protect him, you can even see Miquella’s figure in the tree behind her when she goes in the air. She’d rather die than let someone get to him. Beautiful. Will never forget that scenery.
@Lancelot I think it is implied that she doesn’t know her brother has been abducted since when she goes in the air she positions herself right in front his figure in the tree, the lore makes it clear « my brother will keep his promise », she loves and trust him. I’m not sure about what happened when Mohg captured Miquella… I would like to understand since this is an important piece to the story.
@@payingtoplayI think Malenia and her Cleanrot Knights waged war in Caelid because underneath is Mohg's blood palace where Miquella can be found. @@payingtoplayi think miquella was abducted when malenia fought radahn. She was trying to stop him from holding back the stars, because it halted miquella's transformation
Noble ? Are you fucking kidding ? She wanted to not lose so badly that she had to ruin an entire region and infect Radahn with Scarlet, and she still cluldnt defeat Radahn. Godfrey and radahn were prpbably the more noble ones

Fun fact: Malenia has a total of more than 33k HP summing her two phases, and gains about 1k for every 3 hits she deals to any enemy. Alone, she has more HP than Radahn, Morgott and Maliketh combined, not counting her heals.
I always am a sucker for human sized bosses but she is on a whole another level her design, and the way she fights. when she blooms into the goddess of rot its very haunting with the music change. You see her just float up into the air this is like a love letter to every person who loves human sized bosses
It feels nice that you are not getting knocked away screaming when you get hit by her. When I fight other huge bosses I kept getting knocked around to the ground and it get's tiring really fast.
I love how they managed to give every boss so much personality. Out of all the bosses I've encountered, I think Malenia is one of the most well designed boss fights for sure.
@@chef416 I thought it was undodgeable too, but then I realized its insanely telegraphed whenever she jumps up run away and keep running until she does the second cycle then roll into her, then roll away from her that's how I managed to dodge it with no damage taken a ton of times. Boss is unreal, and hope this can help you feel that sweet relief
@@MegaSpaceAdventure Dodged it a single time doing this, running to that range was probably the least fun I've ever had in what should be a good boss fight. I ended up just going braindead and blocking the entire thing with a greatshield whenever she did it. Hope they don't throw these kinds of attacks onto more bosses in future.
@@chef416 after 5 hours it took me to kill her, you can dodge he quick repeated slashes by rolling towards her on her right, it works if you are somewhat close, if you are not, roll backwards
The music transmits many emotions, it is an intense mixture of epicity, the choir is majestic showing that you are facing a very powerful boss, but it also transmits great sadness, the violin chords show the tragedy that Malenia suffered throughout her life, she born afflicted by the scarlet rot and despite being very powerful the rot is almost completely consumed her. Despite her enormous power, this power was of no use to her because she failed in all her objectives, she could not finish the war, she could not kill Radahn and, moreover, she was forced to unleash the rot destroying all of Caelid only to disable Radahn, condemning to all her enemies, allies and all those who inhabited the area, sadly with this she was one of the ones who contributed the most to the devastation of the Shattering and the end she could not gain control of the elden ring, then she returned afflicted by the rot only to find that her Miquella's dear brother was kidnapped and she has no trace of him... We find her alone in Elphael Brace of the Haligtree contemplating with pain and loneliness the place where her dear brother was, alone empty, with no one around to relieve her pain... Maybe That's the only thing we can help with, maybe by finally defeating her she can rest and have peace.
Malenia never intended to kill Radan or obtain the Elden Ring. She could have gotten his shard when she fought Godrick if she had killed him, but instead she decided to spare him when he begged her and moved on. The reason for the battle with Radahn was the plans of Miquella and the plans of Radahn, Miauella tried to create his new Erd Tree and, apparently, establish his own order in the world in this way, Radan attacked the capital and fought with Morgott, hunted Godrick, most likely he wanted to get the shards of Elden's ring to fix it and become a Elden lord himself that way. So the conflict between Miquella and Radahn was inevitable, and Malenia also had the Great Rune, which Radan needed, all this most likely was the reason for the battle. And Malenia managed to complete his task, since Radan was completely neutralized. And In the official Elden Ring book of knowledge volume 2 it is indicated that Malenia winned over Radahn. And as for the kidnapping of Miquella, it most likely happened before Malenia went on a hike, because when Malenia wakes up, she says that corpse after corpse left in her wake as she awaited his return, and after the battle with Radahn she only sat at home and did not take part in battles. But yeah, there are very sad moments in her story.
6:55 O, dear Miquella... O, dearest Miquella, my brother... I'm sorry, I finally met my match... - Malenia's dying words. I felt sincerely sorry for Malenia. She was a loving and caring sister.
Malenia has to be the most fantastic boss from the saga. How she presents herself at the second phase, suspended in mid air with wings extended. Love her design aswell, it screams renaissance, she has a huge resemblance to Boticcelli's Birth of Venus. She's literally a piece of fine art.
@@carlonalessandro9021 Personally loved her fight, The waterfowl attack is kinda bs but other than that she has probably my favorite move set in the game, Love dodging her attacks more than any other boss. Malikeths attacks were way more brutal tbh. If he had a full health bar would probably be the hardest in the game.
She waited all that time for her brother to return, and the sad thing is that he never would have. Amazing character. If DLC exists in the future for Elden Ring, I bet it would have something to do with Miquella.
A lot of bosses make remarks about returning somehow so I have hope that a dlc would be related to boss rush behavior along with their returns from the grave
This is the fight that I'm the most mixed on. On the one hand, it's an incredible duel against easily the most anticipated boss fight in the Elden Ring, right next to Radahn. On the other hand... Waterfowl Dance.
With enough determination and patience, you can dodge it. Hell after 132 tries I was finally able to at least not die from it and only get hit once from it. It’s possible.
@@incumbentvinyl9291 It’s true that everyone knows it’s possible. Now that I look at the original comment, I’m sure that I misunderstood. What he meant was that he dose not like the move itself. In which case I still disagree. Water fowl while bullshit is one of the many thing that makes malenia such an “iconic” character. I personally don’t have a problem now that I look back and reflect.
If anyone is still having issues, the black knife summon you can get is better than even the mimic in my experience. Specifically his blood knife wave melts her health and on some attempts he never got hit until her phase 2. Granted there was an update so maybe this interaction changed... But to add, he could also knock her down and stuff as well just like the player can be. That surprised me.
Yeah I noticed it too, i defeat her first try using black knife and river of blood. The fight becaming way to easy after knowing shes the hardest boss in the game
For anyone having trouble with her whirlwind attack, I've found that dodging out of her first sweep to get distance and than rolling into her second and third sweeps will gain you the best chance of survivability. Again, get enough distance to clear her first drop and than on the second and third, position yourself to dodge through the attack and end up behind her. It's not easy to get the timing down but give it a few try's, read her movements. Remember when she goes in the air try and react as soon as possible, and those gaps in between her swings are when you need to perform your rolls. Good luck guys, I hope this information helps you out. Don't give up. If it's any motivation you can get her sword after the fight and it's ash of war literally does that same triple typhoon attack and It's so much cooler when you're not on the receiving end.
I've rolled through the attack numerous times and come out clean before, however it requires perfection. You roll through the first flurry twice, wait then roll back twice when the second flurry comes because the second one doesn't gain much distance, after the second roll immediately roll forward into her thrice all in quick succession without stopping. The real challenge is timing the first flurry
3 hours. 3 FUCKING HOURS and finally I beat her. The most satisfying boss win I've ever experienced. First ever souls game and yall were right. These games are so rewarding when you finally figure it out! LETS GO!
What level are you and what's your build? I am 138 and still struggling against her... I am using sword and shield and everytime she hit my block she heals such a bullshit. Should I respecc instead?
If you're tryna beat her legit, mimic or black knight tear to max level, and block her only when absolutely necessary. For the most part, you want to avoid any and all contact with her. Her stamina drains is intense, so dodging and learning the combos is essential. On her bs combo, dodge backwards for the first volley, forwards and through for the second, and the third, try not to move much unless absolutely necessary. If you want to cheese, get knights resolve ash of war, hoarfrost stomp or whatever its called, get a mimic, and lock her in a corner after your mimic gets aggro. Knights resolve is bugged and doesn't go away after you use an ability resulting in the stomps murdering her quickly.
@@turhat As a diehard str build fan, I... don't blame you bro. Friede was nearly the breaking point for me in DS3 but I barely managed to hang in there, giant heavy weapon and all. Imagine your massive metal hammer doing less damage than 2 daggers, far less DPS, AND having like 1 punishable move out of all the boss's attacks. It's sadomasochism, but so satisfying the other 90% of the time.
I love the level of detail they bring to this game. Like she is supposed to this villain who caused all the scarlet rot in Caelid, but then you realize all she wants to do is just protect her brother (who is a tree for some fucking reason?!?!)
He is not really the tree, he used the tree to grow into an adult in order to cure his sister (he was cursed with permanent youth and Malenia was cursed with the scarlet rot) he was in a cocoon during the process but Mohg the lord of blood stole it, and you can see the cocoon when you fight him the hand that hang out of it is Miquella.
@@cursedpuppet8047 not really, it's stated that Miquela resided within the tree, not in a cocoon, when mogh stole Miquela he killed him and put in him a cocoon to try and rebirth him in a godly form which he could control as his consort
It’s cool that she wants to protect Miquella but she’s still an asshole lol. And also did a pretty shit job because her brother got kidnapped by a power hungry pedophile and she doesn’t even know.
Everything in this battle is amazing, the cinematography, the lines, it gives me chills that you find her sitting there all along and then she starts talking about her waiting, her voice is calm and even warming, she walks slowly while progressively comprehends that she is about to kick your ass. Game design in it's finest.
It almost reminds me of Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower in Bloodbornes' DLC, the way Malenia receives you ir her sacred place of Miquella's tree gave me the same impression of Maria being gentle when letting go of the hunters arm and saying "a corpse should be left well alone". Damn how I love FromSoftware games
No bro, don't compare lady Maria with malenia, malenia doesn't measure up to Maria in terms of the fight, malenia is simply a frustrating boss when it comes to the fight itself.
Malenia is a very badly designed boss fight. The problem From Software was facing was that the Dark Souls and Bloodborne community became too good, so they had to use unfair mechanics like Scarlet Rot or the fact that the boss heals itself with every hit. Even in this video they used the mimic to fully defeat her. Embarrassing
@@MrNucleosome but that's not why she is unfair, I mean with that is sure a difficult boss, a really difficult one, but she is also the final challenge, an end end game boss. The problem is the waterfowl dance, an incredible difficult move to dodge, if you get it by the first attack you are basically dead, and she can do it whenever she want in a sec. You can do a perfect attempt, then at the end find it in a bad situation and you are dead.
@@MrNucleosome No, the only badly designed part of Malenia is her berserker barrage bullshit move and only when you're too close, otherwise is reasonably easy to dodge, other than that if you get killed by her is because YOU did something wrong.
Malenia is my favorite. She's definitely the strongest demigod. I love her theme of decay and rebirth. There's beauty in her rot and the symbolism of her wings is great.

@@wildbard4112 Radahn fought against the outer beings to protect the lands between from things like Astel. And no, "to meet Radahns measure" she resorted to using another one's powers, the rot. for anyone struggeling, the cheese tactic is mimic tear+10 and a somewhat high lvl katana with Ash of war : Hoarfrost Stomp. Let the mimic tank her and just spam your weapon special - easy win. if your mimic dies to quickly, be sure to bind 3 meat dumplings to an inventory slot. The mimic will use the last item you bind, so it has 3 heals now and wont even get effected by the poison.

She’s a work of art, whether you love or hate her. Her cutscenes, music, and visuals are so beautiful. I would say she is possibly the most iconic thing in Elden Ring.
Me and my friend were fighting her together and we both first saw the transformation at the same time. We just started to cry as we witnessed her rise horrifically. Then she killed us instantly. Good time
lt feels like a rematch between Radahn and Malenia wearing that Radahn set. lf only you're using Radahn's great rune, that would be awesome, but nevertheless, this still looks superb.
I love the Sekiro element she gives off. The combat art Dragon Flash. I love how Miyazaki brings old elements back with such a beautiful new way of adapting them. EDIT: I also found out that Sekiro and Elden were being developed at the same time, hence a lot of similarities, they weren't grandfathered in from one another, they were developed simultaneously. Very interesting.
@@Gael-x999 Absolutely... when people complain about Radahn being too hard, I just laugh about the hard time they are going to have soon... Malenia is easily the hardest Soulsboss so far. Near impossible for a tank build.
Melania| Blade of Miquela!!! Taught me patience I was struggling to beat Melania. Before this boss fight, I always struggled to have patience whenever I didn't want to. I only had patience when I wanted to have patience. Then just like Genichiro taught me how to have self confidence again. (Sekiro Shadows Die Twice) Melania was there to save me in a Fromsoftware Game once again. Melania is truly the most difficult boss Fromsoftware ever made. It made sword Saint isshin look like a breeze. If I wasn't for my patience, I would have never gotten the opportunity to receive help from some players. I kept fighting Melania. I knew I couldn't beat her alone. But, as some people would give up and go beat Elden ring without Melania. I chose for the first time in my life to have patience when I totally didn't want to. My patience payed off and was able to assemble a team of players to take down Melania. Melania during the first team managed to eliminate me. But even when before I would have given up. I said, let's do this! I summoned maybe 2 or 3 times. And now! When I finally beat Melania. It was not just satisfying to know my patience paid off. It felt rewarding to know that I finally have the confidence and the know how to have patience whenever I don't want to. Now I can look back on this moment whenever i do not want to have patience. Thank you Fromsoftware for creating a masterpiece of a boss fight. Now! I must become the Elden Lord.

@@nana93106 Yes. She said the flower blooms once again, so this is what probably happened at the Radahn fight too. She entered phase 2 but for some reason none of them died, both just got very badly injured.
Malenia's scarlet rot wasn't enough to overtake Radahn, even if he eventually succumbed to his madness. Malenia left him to die, but he was stronger than she realized. She never technically lost, but Radahn pushed her to her limit and survived the encounter, all while holding back the passage of the stars. He truly was the strongest ever, no matter how undefeated Malenia is.
The only thing we know for sure is that they were both the mightiest to remain and no one won. As for who the strongest is... we don't know. Radahn has immense strength and the power of gravity, but we don't know how skilled of a fighter he was during his prime. Malenia can basically restore as much of her health as she wants, given how slow radahn is, she could probably go back to full health in between every of his attacks, but she can be poise broken, and as we see in the trailer he destroyed her prosthethic. I think this is an unstoppable force meets immovable object scenario. But also we just have to wait a few more weeks probably until Bonfire VN recreates the fight here on youtube 🤩
She learned from her father, although he was half-naked, but then again he was an easier fight. Except for the teleport, the teleport attack feels cheap.
Hardest boss in the history of souls game, the fact that she gets health back is absolutely busted Edit: I managed to beat her with my shield only build
Seriously. I'm kinda SOL because I'm using a tanky build dual wielding two greatswords with a lot of damage and a TON of poise but that means my vigor is near base stat. One single swipe one shots me and I'm over lvl 100 lmfao I may have to rebirth and change weapons specifically for this fight. atm I just use a halberd with spin blades art and bloodflame magic, summon skeleton militiamen, then hope for good RNG to lock her into a corner where she can't escape and start a beyblade style stunlock. It works with most bosses weak to bleed where I can 100-0 them in under 10 seconds, I use great swords for everything else, but her, only got her out of first phase once and died at her first attack in phase 2 lol
The hp regen isn’t the worst, there is another boss in the game that does it but it isn’t as annoying. She is totally RNG, and will probably be the first boss in the series to nerf them to make the fight actually skillful.
@@christophermarlowe7163 I don't know I best her in under an hour. The first phase was dumb easy to get through, but it was the second phase when she does the clones that killed me a couple times.
The only tip I’ll give is to be as much aggressive as possible. This is a battle of endurance where she’ll always got the advantage since she can regenerate by any damage inflicted to you. It’s ok to play defense or dodging by learning her patterns but you’re stakes to hold out her are pretty low since most of her attacks are starting with the same movement specially on her second phase when she jumps on air to do the sword dancing, cast her reflections or deliver that sword blooming blow or whatever so trying to learning then it might be really tedious because you almost got no time to react to them. Ahhh and the most important… be lucky with the combos she provides to you and there’s no sword dancing…
Can I just say how much I appreciate my character actually being acknowledged? Being a PART of boss cutscenes this time? Besides the odd ones out in DS3 (only one I’ve played), like Gael, the Twin Princes, and sorta Dancer/Vordt, there’s practically no place where you’re part of the scene. Here, it feels more personal. Malenia talking directly to _you._ -Heed my words. I am Malenia. Blade of Miquella. _And I have never known defeat._ -…Wait. The Scarlet Bloom flowers once more. You will witness true horror. Now _rot._ Margit talking directly to _you._ -Foul Tarnished, someone must extinguish thy flame. Godrick talking directly to _you._ -…Well. A lowly Tarnished, playing as a Lord. I command thee, KNEEL. This makes everything much more personal, and that makes the victory much sweeter. *(Shows appreciation for a game)* *(Gets flamed for not playing the other ones/being God)* (The Dark Souls community, everyone)
Borderlands 3 was the absolute worst with this. Your player character basically disappeared from existence and just stood around watching the bad guys kill your friends and shit
While she is difficult indeed, I personally felt that the hype around her difficulty was more of a mental barrier to me as opposed to say her real difficulty. It took me more tries to kill the final boss, margitt and godskin very early on in the game (caelid). Her move set is dodgeable and while it took me double digit tries, crossing her first phase was the only issue.
I highly recommend a blood build for Malenia, she is weak to blood loss and frost. The Rivers Of Blood Katana s a must against her, if you can fully upgrade it, it will do tons of damage to her and if you want do extra damage, dual wield the Rivers of Blood Katana with the Uchigatana and use the seppuku ash war with bleed affinity.
This is solid advice; I took her down with Hoarfrost Stomp on a +25 Misercode dagger lol. Comet Azur cheesed phase 2. Fun though, power standing RoB with a Uchigata w/ seppeku is my exact current build. Absolute beast of a combo.
Blood arrows with gravity rain can work good to, but mainly with a summon to distract her. If it's just you alone she will dodge the attack usually, but it's extremely potent if she isn't dodging or moving around to much
The combo with the mimic was amazing, really good mecanic in the game, but the bosses, their designs, what they say and how they fight is just amazing, the little we know about all of them is enought to love them and search for more lore to really know them, as always the story is im the game, you just have to look at it, or watch aome youtube videos lol
@@Soogooroo The game seem very much intended to have something to draw aggro away. Not to mention Malenia heals whenever she hits the mimic anyway so you still need to divide her attention and keep the dps up.

@@ashleyurbina1055 In terms of lore, yes, as both are basically "cursed brothers", together with Miquella and Lothric. Even, i read that according the producers, originally Miquella meant to appears during her boss fight and assist Malenia, in a similar way like Lothric with Lorian.
Her second phase reminds me a lot of Genichiro's own. The way they call upon their powers and just sheds their armors for you to see the extent of the damage on their own body are just. Wow. They mean business.
I get people hate her, but shes personally my favorite boss. The fact that she acknowledges your strength, and really isn’t even evil just makes her my fav.

I will never forget this fight, I died at least 60 times. I memorized all of her movesets to the point I could go a near no hit run. One of the attempts of trying to kill her I streamed it for my friends to see what's making me so angry all the time. They were facinated between me and Malenia fighting, they even said that it looked like we were dancing. Never before had I had to memorized a boss moveset to the fucking T to beat them through pure skill. Sure there was Sekrio and Bloodbourne, but this boss is probably the hardest I have faced from Fromsoftware. I look foward for the DLC
Malenia is a glorious exception to the largely mediocre boss lineup in Elden Ring. She's definitely difficult, but more of the "fun" kind of difficult, IMO
Read her great rune, it doesn’t even work. It’s her will being infused to it that made it have any sort of power…she literally buffed her rotted rune… She threw hands with Radahn and stalemated with nothing but hands…of course her rot ended the stalemated fight though lol

Everything about Malenia's design is so goddamn cool.
For real, Malenia is a cursed freak and a fuck up, who ruined Radahn and Caelid while achieving nothing.
Interesting, thanks for the info

I've rolled through the attack numerous times and come out clean before, however it requires perfection. The real challenge is timing the first flurry

@@IStolePillows No. He didn't kill Miquella. And Miquella was already in his cocoon before Mohg took him.
@@MarkHogan994 Where do you learn this? I might have missed some info
The game states that she's weaker than Radahn
@@juwe7143 That was her before she embraced her rot powers. Afterwards she's easily stronger
@@wildbard4112 we can't tell. Radahn was stronger than her while simultaneously fighting outer beings.
All we know is that Maliketh is stronger than both.
@@juwe7143 When was Radahn fighting out beings? Casting a spell to stop stars is not fighting out beings. And when they fought neither of them could defeat each other. Also about Maliketh, again that was before she embraced her rot powers. We can tell that Malenia is more powerful than Radahn.
@@wildbard4112 Radahn fought against the outer beings to protect the lands between from things like Astel.
And no, "to meet Radahns measure" she resorted to using another one's powers, the rot. So Radahn was indeed about to defeat her. All while not being able to use all of his power.
And no again, going by feats, prime Malenia has nothing against prime Maliketh.
Damn she is one of the most tragic characters of all them fromsoftware game, imagine how long she was waiting for her brother whom she loved the most, and only to awaken to some random ahh dude
for anyone struggeling, the cheese tactic is mimic tear+10 and a somewhat high lvl katana with Ash of war : Hoarfrost Stomp. Melania| Blade of Miquela!!! Taught me patience
I was struggling to beat Melania.
I was dreading facing Malenia. By the time I got to her, I had defeated every single challenge / boss the game had thrown at me. I saved her for last cause I knew she was going to work me over good. And she has NOT disappointed.

@@ungoliver radahn presumably could've been holding the meteors back at the time too.

Edit: I managed to beat her with my shield only build

Borderlands 3 was the absolute worst with this. Your player character basically disappeared from existence and just stood around watching the bad guys kill your friends and shit
there's also lady maria's cutscene in bloodborne
Lol you can’t fucking talk on something when you’ve only played ds3 and probably didn’t beat it let alone the dlc,
That's so true!
In bloodborne that scene with lady Maria was a favorite because of this
While she is difficult indeed, I personally felt that the hype around her difficulty was more of a mental barrier to me as opposed to say her real difficulty.
Bloodhound step is good for her too. Her anime wombo combo is practically impossible to dodge without it.
@@riverstyx1973 good idea, yeah that spinning combo she does is impossible to avoid and she does it one after another.
