- Bioenergetic therapy offers simple exercises for sadness relief and to work on depression. Try simple bioenergetic exercises to release sadness and learn how to cry deeply and fully. There are many more complex exercises to work on traumas, long-term sadness, and depression that we can go over at a later time. For now, I suggest to try these and see how you feel.

During your bioenergetic session, please make sure to breathe deeply during the exercises and also make yourself audible.
In bioenergetic analysis therapy, depression is seen as a pathological decrease in the vital functioning of the body, a diminution of motility, feeling, and responsiveness. Crying is a great way to increase the feeling of sadness, move your body in response to it, therefore releasing a lot of the holding patterns associated with sadness.
A little about what Alexander Lowen says about sadness and Depression.
Crying is a basic mode of releasing tension, as anyone can see by watching an infant break into crying when his frustrations create an unsupportable tension. No one need ever be ashamed of crying, for we are all infants at heart. Crying is so therapeutic that if a sad or depressed person can cry fully, his depression will lift immediately.
It is very common in bioenergetic therapy that after a person has a good cry, his/her breathing becomes deeper and easier. Letting oneself sob releases the tension in the throat and also opens the belly.
I wish to emphasize that these exercises are not a substitute for therapy. They will not resolve deep emotional issues, which generally require competent professional help. But whether or not you are in therapy, the regular performance of these exercises will help you significantly to increase your aliveness and capacity for pleasure.

Wish you all the best and keep up the good work ☘️🙂
You are very welcome 🙏 and thank you for your kind and motivating words. Just checking in. Hope it's going well...any improvements? Also, anything else you're looking for through bioenergetics?
Very interesting video brother, would I be right in saying it's almost like a form of catharsis?
Expelling trapped energy?
Absolutely. It's very cathartic. The beauty of doing it purposefully and in a controlled way is having both a cathartic release while also feeling and noticing what arises within your body and mind.
@@HealingHouse88 The body is the mind after all, I find the concept fascinating. On a bit of a health journey myself - looking forward to more my friend.
@@MasculineTheory Yes brother, it's truly amazing! Thank you man, I hope to keep producing and watching more of your content too.
I started to cry like a baby... I felt abandoned, like If I was left all alone inside a crib. It gave me chills... My throat started to make intense sounds. I felt a neck/eyes/chest and diaphragm release somehow.
Thanks.
So beautiful man. I've had very similar experiences. I haven't done this one in a while and probably need it again! Thanks for the feedback.
Hope you're doing well man. Thanks for this
Thank you man. I hope we have a prosperous 2022!

Great man, glad to hear it!
Thank you so much for these videos. Don't know why it took me so long to get to this. If I had found this practice 30 years ago and did it as needed, my life would have been much different. Oh, well, I guess the student wasn't ready so the teacher didn't appear. I'm here now! Thanks a lot.
Yes Kevin, this has been such an amazing blessing in my life. I'm glad you found it now too. You are very welcome 🙏
Wonderful, thank you!
Awesome, thanks for the feedback 👍
