I love this and can't wait to build this with you! Because of some health issues, I've been out of building for a couple of years so I'm really looking forward to this. My previous tbi has been really tough on my memory as well as other things. (An explanation why I'll ask you the exact same zohd question 2 years after I'd already asked it) 😊
Looking forward to the progress of your build Lee. All the best for 2025! Btw. I had to ditch my Lucid pro FC because of the Walksnail OSD incompatibility. Using a Aikon F722 on Lucid ESC now and did flash the newest 2.17 rc am32 fw. I‘m using a large 6s 3500 lipo on my 7“ with F90 1500kv motors. It‘s quite different to my other quads, learning some new things 😊
Hi Lee, I just love Armattan quads, I wish I still had my Rooster. 2807 1700kv ? 4s build, I have 2808 1100kv TOKA in my 7in 6s, good size for a 7in, looking forward to seeing finished. Thanks again for the video.
Really interested to see how the new Armattan flys. If it’s better than my trusty Marmotte I’ll have to buy a 5 inch version. Watching with interest HNY.
Great, looking forward to this series with interset. A 7" was next on my list to build but was planning to use betaflight, inav appears to make more sense allthough i have no experience of it. Just got to complete my Evo5 first before i think of emptying my bank account again.
I love watching build videos even though I can build already . If anyone in the central AZ area needs help (physically) I would be happy to help free of charge !
Looking forward to your build. I just "re"-built a 7" quad, swapping from Hyperlite 2408.5 motors to the ECO II 2807 motors. And swapped frames from iFlight X7 to AOS 7 Evo frame (real sturdy but heavy). Goal was to improve flight performance and remove a lot of vibrations I was having. Seems to have worked, but it's a bit heavier now due to the larger motors and heavy frame (~175 g more). BTW, did I hear that right... 7S? Your ESC won't support that. And with 1700kV motors, that's gona be crazy!
Hi Lee, Looking forward to the series. Just watched the intro video. I am 4 hours ahead of you in Mauritius, so the next video is still "private". What sort of duration are you expecting ? Can you maybe suggest options for "long" duration, 30 mins or a bit more as well please. Happy New Year to you and all your family. Thanks for everything you do for us all.
Perfect timing and can't wait. Having been a subscriber for a couple of years and only flying DJI quads for photos and surveying, I've just built a 7 inch quad with the speedy bee F4 v4, M10 GPS and loaded INAV 7.1.2 because I wanted to learn more about MAVLINK. I'm flying INAV v7 whilst I learn how to not crash and will upgrade to INAV V8 when its released. So far in my testing the Position hold and RTH modes are rock solid and save me a couple of times per flight! I have a Speedy Bee analogue VTX in the post but nothing to receive the OSD/telemetry yet. Things I struggled with the most are: ELRS Tx and Rx firmware updates Radio Master Pocket Controller updates and setup (found one of your vids from 5 years ago) Getting Mavlink telemetry to q ground control from the controller. Not sure this is possible in INAV 7.
Here are a few tips: 1) ruclips.net/video/3je0NrBzVy0/видео.html should help 2) ruclips.net/video/wnLek9iriug/видео.html should help 3) MAVLink stuff coming in INAV 8.0, stay tuned! You can find my content easier after watching this video: ruclips.net/video/CIuUNdVfBJQ/видео.html or ruclips.net/video/P4soR6QgOk0/видео.html Best of luck!
I am a big fan of your channel. Learned a lot from your videos and thank you so much for all the effort. Could you make a video on hooking up the lastest version of mission Planner with xplane 11 and 12. Simulation SITL feature worked great in the previous versions but the lastest version of MP is a pain in the neck to set up. Thank you in advance and have a great day.
gather 'round the fire, kids, painless is starting the holiday buiild!!
I'm looking forward to your build!
Eco II are my motor of choice for 7" as well. Very well priced, look gorgeous, and work really well.
Happy new year with lots of love🎉 Happy New year 🎉❤❤❤and happy flying 🪽

The Rooster is still manufactured and available. =D
Awesome components, Lee! I'm definitely looking forward to the build! 😃
Happy new year!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Thanks for the idea, if I get Xplane, I will... Happy flying
❤❤❤

Covered in the video! :D
