I found when i lived overseas the hardest thing is not to keep comparing prices for everything to where you came from. Once you eventually stop doing that everyday, then you realise youve suddenly more settled. It takes a while. Also i would think coming from South Africa or indeed most countries, you gotta get a lawnmower! Damn grass grows fast here😀
I miss the Bushveld and Woolies. My husband and I moved over in 2017 and we love it. Our Residency application is now with a case officer, so please keep us in your prayers 🙌🏻
Very beautiful, and helpful interview Jen. Thank you very much for this nice idea of interviewing, it helps us get more perspective on how the process is like for new immigrants. Appreciate it ! Good Luck Justine with your journey, thank you for sharing your story :)
Hi Justine👋🏻, ive seen you on the SA immigrating to NZ facebook page, thanks for sharing your story. And being a light over there for other South Africans that are still in the process of coming over to NZ. All the best with your residency. Thanks Jen, another great interview! You are a natural 🌻
An interesting video, but I'm here to say that I've been doing your "five minute gardening" - and it's great! I actually feel I can get on top of it now. Thank you for the idea, and hope you are well.
Just got permanent residency been in NZ 3 years with my family. I'm not crazy about living in Auckland i want to see the rest of NZ Auckland is crazy expensive.
The video is extremely useful, strongly informative as well as helpful. I would like to thank you Jenn, for sharing the video of the interview on your RUclips Channel. In addition, I would like to thank an interviewee as well for sharing the experience on the immigration process. Moreover, I have a question. Herein, is my question: What job qualification, did the husband of the interviewee applied for according to the job shortage list of NZ. Additionally, what was his age at the time of the job application procedure.
I emigrated from Russia to SA in 2002, I was 14, still get home sick. The crime here has become so scary, with two small kids, really wanna leave. NZ looks amazing and thanks so much for your videos, really helpful and informative! A lot of things in NZ are like in Russia, so seems great. Thanks ladies, both really helpful.
The safety is what i love and the greenery and i love how there are so many garden centers and garden clubs i love gardening here its my passion as i have studied horticulture here in nz
Thank you Jen for doing another one of these interviews 😁 And thank you Justine for sharing your experiences so far! ❤️ We found this one very interesting 😁
I just feel more hopeful now again. We decided on NZ last year and started getting our post grad to qualify for visas. It’s still a long road ahead, but it gives me hope that Justine’s family also waited a while before they went over. I hear many stories of people being in NZ after 6 months of deciding. With homesickness.. I am currently in the middle of those 😂 to me it’s the people, beautiful blue skies, hearing birds and the smell of rain. Where we live now we don’t have a lot of that. I wish you both the best in NZ and thanks for sharing the journey.
Not sure, it depends on your unique situation (which field you work in, how quickly you can get a job, which personal certificates you have to hand, etc).

These videos are fascinating even as a natural born citizen 😊

I am writing my IELTS soon and I am completely nervous when coming to the listening and reading because it's not difficult but soooo tricky😭😅

Congrats! Definitely make a few trips to check out other areas, Auckland has a different feel for sure, besides being so much more expensive.
Sth Island is a fantastic option, you'll love it!
Freak 420 wow we pay 900 in Auckland wish I could leave Auckland. We pay 900 because we have 2 dogs we brought over from SA.

My family lived previously in 3 countries so moving wasn't that bad and it was easier adjusting.
New zealand experience is BS because there is a skill shortage in NZ and there are no locals for the jobs.
Great video ladies. I have enjoyed it and you sharing your experiences. Moved over many years ago, was well worth it. Beautiful country.

Please is it possible for a Single Forex trader to immigrate to new Zealand, is the process really that difficult?
Wow this video was amazing and very helpful. Thanks for these informative videos.

Try L & P its Rubbish its a weak version of sprite
What is the quickest someone has been able to move to NZ? I heard someone was able to do it in 3 months from SA.

300 thousand dollars is so shocking to me that I can't even imagine how that itemized if it didn't include the price of a house.
Rand. About $26k NZD
@@WinterWind Thanks for clarifying :)
@@WinterWind In the states we say "Grand" meaning a thousand dollars. I had never heard of Rand. Always learning something new on Jen's channel :)
@@Linward oh it's the same here. I just know a few South Africans and with context I gathered she meant rand as in SA currency 😊
