Beyonce created the trend of dropping albums without press or any information. It was a Friday surprise! Since then she’s been unpredictable and loves gagging her fans by dropping music randomly. Her Coachella performance is a classic and crazy unbelievable!!!
you should’ve watched the music videos, the album is beyoncé’s visual first full visual album (her first was b’day but some of the tracks didnt receive a music video). I believe theres 17 music videos on this album, it was a huge risk for Beyoncé and the album broke industry standards. it single handily changed the beginning of tracking weeks for billboard from Tuesday’s to Friday’s and it still is iTunes fastest selling album of all time.

B’Day, 4 and The Lion King: The Gift are my personal favourites after Renaissance and Lemonade. Highly recommend reacting to any one of those albums next. Beyoncé is very experimental and you can tell because every album explores a different sound. The problem is people want to put her in a box and she rejects that every time.
The visual album makes everything so much better when you don’t necessarily like certain songs. It also helps you understand the influence of the music.
