Had the HS7 for years now and am still super happy with them. For listening (not mixing) I switch on my Behringer EX4000 which improves the sound a lot.
nice vid. I have a question though. I own the HS7 now for a while. What I recognized is, that the mids and highs are very penetrating forward sounding. Which is one way good, because you really hear all the stuff, that you don't hear on hi-fi speakers or other monitors. But I have the tendency to mix on the HS7 so that I have a balanced sound, like I would hear it out of good speakers. But what I probably should do is to mix, that the mids and highs really stick out (because that's the way I hear when listening to reference songs). So what I want to say, I think I downmix the mids and highs because they are overemphasized when I hear them out of the 7s. I have "okay" room treatment. So this shouldn't be solely the purpose. So I guess my question is: would you then recommend some more "natural sounding" speakers like the JBL Mk2 or maybe Kali LP6 if I want to hear a balanced good monitor sound? Thank you for your thoughts.
Hey man!! I'm looking for someone who understands acoustics to ask for information so I can clear up a doubt. I bought new hs7 speakers, I hear a rattling coming from the back of the speakers when playing the low frequencies and in particular the Subs, I wanted to understand if this is normal or if the speaker has problems . The room is treated well acoustically, and I hear the rattling is inside the speaker so if there should be a problem I think it is from the speaker itself. Thanks in advance!🙌🏻

were the hs7 ever iconic? the hs8 I understand.
maybe I didnt came across as clear..It was a throwback to the old Yamaha NS10 because they have some resemblance to HS series design and sound.☺
