Have you thought about asking Scalextric? They did a touring car starter race set a few years ago and produce touring car Scalextric cars. I've had them for sale in my model shop.

Rare to see so much insight - with my racing past Sponsorship for me only came from places I worked. I did miss a moohasive opportunity for sponsorship with Karting back when I was 16/17.....many many moons ago. Keep it up Dan boy 💪

So something I had a thought about don’t know if you are allowed/able to do but
A raffle each race weekend for 2 to come on the grid /garage last race on Sunday where you pay something like1/2£ ticket online app then a number generator picks a couple tickets could run from last race till the Sunday

I know that one mate that’s why I didn’t follow it up as I had a chat with team Brit as I’m physically disabled and they liked my karting but yeah budget and I Carnt gather enough for a portfolio
@@jackvincent3026 Thats honestly really sad, you came so close and once again money foiled it. Thats honestly why i never really wanted to start, because i could probably afford karting, barely, but to then have that realisation that you can take it further is soul crusing.
@@DLRTV23 Shocking to see you replied to me hahahahha. But yea there are definetely some cheap options like the Clio Cup ect ect but as im 16, my dream sport as most would say is F1, but i only found this out last year. I would love to race even in the BTCC but like you've shown, you have to get sponsers to pay you to pay for the drive. Its ashame motorsports now is purely money, back in the 50's to even late 90's it was purely skill, ok there were some pay drivers like Schumachre but even then he had the tallent. Welp it is what it is, i got my sim soo
@@JasonTaylorRacingF1 yeah absolutely it was rental karts I’m in the midfield like not much in it to break into the top ten but I know where I’m loosing it it’s physicallity of turning the kart I’m quick in the high speed but I just get tired as there to physical for me and that was buckmore outdoor. The indoor tracks I don’t really suite style wise but those eletric ones Handel better easier for me and I was just off the podium by like tenths against big able body guys so I hold my own and team Brit liked that but proper karts and championships I couldn’t do I found a thing where you can do part championships and only at buckmore to keep travel costs down
