I'm no expert, but I would be interested to hear what some pros think of this, both the restraint [which looked ineffectual and amateurish to me] and the trim, which looked pretty rough.
@@JohnH0130 I'm qualified to tell you. The trim is brutal, the animal in pain and terrified. The rope on the top lip is a "twitch", and it is twisted tight to cause immobilising agony, the ropes around the belly are just to keep the poor creature in place, but could actually damage the intestines or cause colic, which can be fatal. After this trim the quick of the hooves is damaged and bleeding thus extremely sensitive and tender to stand on. These are meat animals.
@@filstewart2380 Thanks, I suspected as much. I've watched a number of RUclipsrs who are pro trimmers, and none of them looked anything like that monstrosity.
@@JohnH0130 The hoof is essentially the finger or toe nail, the triangular fleshy portion inside the sole of the hoof is called the frog, it should contact the ground and it aids with blood circulation. When the hooves become overgrown it atrophies, not good, and also the bones within the hoof capsule may rotate out of place. This is not correctable, and will lead to permanent lameness as the rotated bone will place internal pressure on the sole of the hoof - in severe cases actually breaking through the sole, which is a catastrophic injury, and fatal.
Sedation is expensive and unreliable. I'm not sure it's a viable option in the areas being shown on this channel. It's more important to correct the problem quickly, and to do sedation is equipment heavy as well as not possible to be in a sterile environment. So as much as it appears that the animal is traumatized, almost all other options are more traumatizing. IMO, a crush that lifts the animal's feet would be ideal to replace the roped up legs. However, they're expensive and obviously not necessary to do the work.

Ever had to take a kid in for shots? Took a 4 year old in for his routine immunizations, amd it took four adults to wrangle him. I ended up laying on his chest while pinning his hands as best I could. Two other people pinned the rest of him down, the nurse gave him the shots in about 6 seconds. You could be more sensible. This donkey, without trimming and treatment, would have been down on the ground, starving and dying of thirst eventually. He was not going to be walking for much longer, with those rear hoofs like that. So they gave this donkey a chance to keep on moving and living, and you are calling them "animal abusers". I have been present for enough hoof trimming and shoe-ing in the US, to know that this is basically what is done. The only option is to trim the over-grown hoofs, back to the proper size and shape. If three or more inches must come off, to restore the correct angle, trimmers are used to remove the over growth. Its such a shame that because these donkeys are normally " meat" that these ABORANT people can leave them in pain but thank god their are some very good people in this world to help them 💓
It is great that the donkey can now walk more comfortably. However, the donkey rolling around in the dirt was not the same donkey as the one who just has his hooves trimmed. If you notice the hooves you'll see they need to be trimmed.
It's absurd that the owners of these poor animals let it get to that point!! Cruel Owners! Thank you Mestre Du for the fantastic work you do relieving the suffering of these innocent animals...Hug from Brasil
Them tiny ropes shouldn't be used as it can really hurt the donkey's, like cutting off blood flow, or hurting their organs. I think your sling idea could work as long as there was enough width to actually support the donkey's weight. Cattle crush's seem to already have a system like that. So why not just get a cattle crush but for donkey sizes.
They already exist their called Crushes designed to lift the animal with attachments to move the hooves into position so the hooves can be easily trimmed ..though their usually designed for cows/cattle there are ones for horses etc ..... Unfortunately Western Crushes can be expensive but the idea can be adapted using simple materials easily found in China ...one of the other Chinese trimmers on RUclips uses a very simple version thats miles better than the way they do it here...

But comparing the way it is done in this video with the methods used in the U.S. and elsewhere, this one comes off as horrendous. There are much better ways to achieve the desired end than the barbaric methods on display here.
Já comentei várias vezes, isso é um absurdo, porque deixam chegar a essa situação.
Now, that's one HAPPY Mule, thanks for the Video!!
How wonderful the work that you do. God bless you 🙏
Thank you for sharing...Enjoyed it. It takes me back to my days working around livestock.
Have any of these animals known kindness?
How do wild donkeys maintain their hooves? Thank you for your work. It's always nice to see happy animals.
Nice work, thank you for helping the Donkeys
É uma crueldadeade inominável deixar o animal nesse estado

Thank you for helping the poor soul. Hoping he has a long and happy life
Its such a shame that because these donkeys are normally " meat" that these ABORANT people can leave them in pain but thank god their are some very good people in this world to help them 💓
Non trattatelli male! Sono così belli
You do great work!😁💕✌️
Wonderful job master Du...what happens ro the donkeys on these farms....my heart goes out to these poor neglected creatures...💜
It is so sad that people let an animal get in such bad shape. Thanks to the Master for helping this donkey.
Just sad treat animals better.Gods creatures
Salut de France
Une de tes meilleures...
Incroyable ......tu est courageux..
That donkey was rolling before the trim. Just look at the size of it's hooves.
I think these guys are doing the best they can for these animals with what they have
Thank you for what you did for it.
Great job. It’s a joy to see your work. Seeing the donkeys walk properly is great 👍
I think the way they are treating this beautiful donkey is cruel 😢
They should be more gentle with this poor donkey 😢
Pro 12:10 The righteous care for the needs of their animals, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.
Donkey know what next in gentle care - why police not stop this.
Good job 😆😆😆🙏🙏🙏👌👍
Awww thank you...poor little guy...
Absolutely marvellous, what a great job. Very skilled indeed.
I wonder if someone could design a small frame, with slings to safely hold up and support these little guys while the Master is helping them.
@@echotrash466 Crushes that are made for horses/donkeys etc already exist but aint cheap...once you understand the concept though building a cheap rig isn't that hard, someone needs to show the "master" a couple of videos of a crush in use i think it would kinda blow their minds
@@wildfire160 Yes. I might even take a look into it, since I haven't really seen one more meant for horses and donkey's.

One of the Donkey's hooves was Bleeding.
Did he Spray the Bleeding hoove with a Disinfecting Antibiotic? 👍😊
No they don’t treat them. They are cruel.

Amazing!. The master has a solution for all types of abnormal hoofs.
You guys are a godsend! You perform great work with simple tools. Your compassion with helping these neglected donkeys will definitely put you in a high seat in heaven for caring for these animals. I have 2 donkeys and after seeing him roll around like he did in the dirt, he was so relieved and happy and his walking around with the mother looked like he was at peace. Great job Sir..🙏😃😃🇺🇸❤️
I think they mean "donkey farm" as in meat and produce
Certainly doesn't look like rescue to me ,,
Hes not great. He needs more patience and be more careful. Also its Gods manifestation. No need to put on a pedestal a simple country man from china
Stop it your hurting him.if your getting blood its to close
