She's actually quite small. I used to keep 10 of these in a large rain chamber 7 males and 3 females. My 3 girls were absolutely enormous! Beautiful frogs!
Enrique Velazquez where did you obtain them from, if I might ask? Interested, can't seem to find any. Wild caught adults or captive bred? The Bicolor, or Sauveggi variant? Thanks
@@johnll1693 I'm in California I got them through a supplier who gets me many color variations of dart frogs and had gotten them from his supplier. I will probably pick up some more soon
@@enriquevelazquez694 thanks for getting back to me so quickly! I'm in Maryland, and absolutely can't find any out this way. Do you know if your supplier would ship? And if so, would you mind passing on his contact info? Pm of course. Thanks!
Hi! Are you using real plants in your enclosure? If so, what kinds? I am prepping for my Giant Waxy now. Also, how big is your enclosure? Are there any other recommendations you can make to give these guys a good life!
thanks JJ i am a chinese frog fun,i really learn alot knowledge from u video and i think it helped me alot to make my frogs live better ,thanks for shareing ur info,
Hello! I just bought a phyllomedusa bicolor a couple months ago. A couple weeks ago he sat too close to his UVB bulb and got sunburnt on the lower half of his back. He has skin discoloration that was dark and now it's looking pinkish/grayish and kind of nasty. I have also been force feeding him and having to move him to his water as he has been lethargic. If I pick him up he wakes up and seems normal crawling around my arm, but as soon as I put him back in his enclosure he/she just goes to sleep and doesn't move. Have you heard of this happening? I know they are supposed to apply their own Sunscreen so I'm not sure why this happened or why he would not move to a different spot. Thank you so much for your help!
Hello Stephanie! How is your frog doing? I just saw this post or I would have gotten back to you sooner. I would apply neosporin to any wound your frog has. What is the wattage of your bulb and how close is your frog able to get to it? You can send me a direct message to jjthefroggirl@gmail.com. Thanks!
This was a great idea to just put a breeder tank on its side and silicone a piece a plexiglass on the bottom 1/3!! Genius I’ll tell ya!! I think I’m gonna do this!! Only question, how do you keep the screen on the front? Magnet?
I’m seriously looking into getting one of these guys but theres isnt as much information about keeping them online and im worried I’ll make a mistake and kill it.
You'll be fine. Give them plenty of ventilation, give them a basking area, not too wet. Chris Hansbrow, a breeder, is great to talk to about them if you buy from him. He is extremely helpful.
@@jjthefroggirl9545 You can talk to Chris on facebook pretty directly, he is in both the Phyllomedusa group AND the Waxy Monkey and Monkey Tree Frog group as well. He has been wonderful in helping me get my enclosure up to par.
You need bigger perch points. Poor thing is way to big for that vine. The soil is way cheaper to make than buying small bags of this lady. Just do it all yourself. I make vines backgrounds waterfalls everything myself. RUclips has all the info. This lady has a poor set up for a adult.

How was your success breeding them in the rain chamber?
Yea it’s hard
Can you attach chris’s information?

I can’t find the breeder you mentioned. Do you have their contact details?
I need his info too I want this monkey leaf frog
They're really not as difficult as people think. Give them plenty of ventilation, and don't keep them too wet.
