Undoubtedly the best change to the game is now Commando spins his pistols when choosing him in the character select screen instead of him just awkwardly standing there

As a commando main that was great, every time I'm waiting for people to ready up I just spam his animation

Literally the best change ever made to the game. Nothing else matters, now I just watch commando select animation 24/7 instead of playing the game.
this is actually a good change because before he felt bland in the selection screen. now he has an animation like everyone else and i like that :D
An important thing to note, the Tricorn hunter equipment can be used to one-shot the Worship unit for BOTH a free Empathy Core drop and also the red item.
Also it's useful for an easy Aurelionite kill for the achievement.

Note on Spare Drone Parts: It works for both the AI Construct boss item as well as the Sympathy Cores. Unfortunately, Poglyps are unaffected - but they're trying their best and that's what matters.
Oddly though it doesn’t work on drones brought in with the Back Up. A real shame. Would have been a beautiful synergy
Poglyps is my guardian angel when fighting the void stage for me they've done a lot.

Drone parts turns the Alpha defenders and sympathy cores into absolute monsters. I love it
And the Col. Droneman with a beret with robo arm holding a pistol is just hilarious
Drone Parts is pretty busted with Engineer. Your turrets spawn Col. Dronemans, so you get 3 of them, but they don't despawn when you replace your turrets, you can have infinite Col Dronemans. This is probably a bug.
It’s worth noting that 20 of those 30 hours of the dlc that woolie played was in ONE SITTING
Jesus, I think Woolie should sleep. Granted I can't say anything be I have normal ass insomnia and am not even allowed to play any games when failing to sleep.

Note on Void glasses: it only excludes the teleporter boss from it's insta kill. So any Vagrants, Overloading Worms, etc, that spawn as world bosses are all able to be insta killed.
I had 5 Overloading Worms spawn on top of me and they all got deleted
on another note. i also noted that non boss "boss" enemies are also not affected so if you get a mob of brass contraptions as the TP boss, or the mobs in Mithrix phase 2. they will not be effected by this either.

Ran with it with Captain earlier today, they just disintegrate, they proc on ukelele too, so I whole group can also just fukin disintegrate
The last Void item is called the 'Newly Hatched Zoea', which consumes all of your YELLOW items, and every 60 seconds (-50%/stack), it summons a void ally for each stack you have
(This item may be bugged and may only be obtainable via dying with yellow items and the Void Dios)
The last equipment is called the 'Remote Caffinator', it summons a vending machine (that does 2000% on landing) and you can purchase drinks from it, which heal you a little
(This item is also bugged and can only be gotten via the Artifact of Enigma [the one that changes your equipment every use])
the vending machine can also be spawned with the bottled chaos

I think scavengers can also spawn with remote ceffinator
@@seventhe6th bottled chaos can trigger the effect of the remote caffinator, but it will not give you the logbook entry since you aren't physically picking up the item. Enigma is the only way to do that !

Interesting note on the credit card. Any items you have that only active on equipment usage will activate when you purchase anything. So it is a little wonky but can let you use buffs tactically.
Another interesting note with Executive Card. If you have Shipping Request Form, with your card, you can get both the offered items instead of having to choose.

Bungus is actually giga good if you can manage to find a Void corruption for it - it converts it from healing on standing still to healing while sprinting

bungus memes are dead it only procs when you're doing literally nothing which means the turrets can't heal either.

Safer spaces is kind of an insane item for endless runs, having 30 stacks of safer spaces will give you invulnerability once every 0.6 seconds which is much more consistent than Tougher Times' 80% damage resistance at 30 stacks.

@@spuddy7 If you're taking damage constantly, (i.e. rex M2 spam) you won't be able to take advantage of the guaranteed safer spaces bubble - it'd be better to just take the 85% damage reduction from normal teddies as that point.
Is that really right? Considering the amount of things happening at that point, getting hit several times in 0.6 seconds is pretty damn likely, and withou tougher times will likely result in immediate death.
Also- they changed an in-game interaction between the quail and the feather- before when you would double jump with feather the first jump would have the movement bonus but the second wouldn’t, however it has been changed so that both jumps have the movement bonus

I was playing yesterday as engineer with a quail and a few feathers and wasn't getting the movement bonus on the extra jumps. Are you sure you weren't just playing mercenary? Because mercenary has always been able to use the quail on both his first and second jumps.

Something important that was missed- Artificer no longer auto charges a new M2 bomb when the previous one is fired (if you have multiple from backup mag). This means you will no longer waste charges when you have attack speed!
Similar vein, loader no longer auto casts the alternate special with brainstalks which is just sad cause you can't throw thunder tantrums anymore
I don't understand why special abilities can't be key spammed anymore. I guess you could use a macro but it doesn't feel the same anymore
The Eulogy Zero works on players who don't have that item in their inventory too, a friend of mine had it but he was dead and my other friend opened a chest and got a lunar. So it's global.
I assume this is because chests and stuff like that are determined when you enter the stage so your friend had the item and was alive when the chest spawned and chose the item

Shipping request too. If two players have it, two multishops will spawn, even if one player dies or leaves the game
One good thing about bottled chaos, having gotten 3 in a 4 hour run where I had the executive card. (So they activated every time I purchased something. Yeah.)
It seems the bottled chaos can NOT do lunar items, which is honestly really nice so you don’t accidentally affliction yourself. But it also means no random spicy meteors
Volcanic Egg and the Quantum Tunnel make Bottled Chaos unusable though
Dont know if its just somthing new with the void or was part of Eulogy. but during a run through the void, the enemies started getting lunar items, had visions and strides. which was really funny seeing as the bisons would proc strides and just kinda hover around me till it wore off
Now I want to try and do void fields and see if i can get enemy's to get all the heresy items, just to see what happens
This is really interesting, previously if enemies were given Lunar items (via mods or cheats), they would be completely unable to use them.
Did you have the new domino lunar item that turns regular items into lunars? I could see that possibly proc'ing in the void fields
I saw a screenshot on reddit where a dude had a void fields where it was stone golems with 5 shaped glass. It looked like it was pretty fucking terrifying ngl
lysate cell is extremely strong on merc. Managed to beat the new final boss with 3 charges of the item and I was almost all the time on eviscerate s
I wonder if the Light Flux Pauldron is viable on Merc since faster attack speed is usually not something you want on Merc.

Because you lose i-frames during Eviserate with higher attack speed. That's why I was curious.

I can 100 % confirm hellfire and roll of pennies do synegise. It makes the early game hilarious. (Atleast if someone else uses the tincture and you take damage from them)

One note on the last equipment, now I may be wrong, but when playing around with gesture of the drowned/chaos bottle combo, I would sometimes have drink dispensers spawn in on top of me when the bottle proc’d. Now seeing that I have never seen this as an equipment effect before, I assume that the new equipment item spawns a drink dispenser where you can spend gold to heal yourself for a good amount, again, I could be very wrong and this could just be a side product of another item I got during that run, but I think that’s what the final equipment item does
It is. The equipment is only obtainable right now using the Artifact of Enigma (the one that gives you random equipment when you use it).
The benthic blooms don't seem like they would be consistently good enough to rival the clover, but at least they have the potential for Risk of Rain 2 funny moments.
Benthic would likely be better in a longer game due to number of reds you are likely to get, but clover is better for if you want to work with a set build
Yeah I’d say it’s worse then a clover, but you don’t have to own a clover to use it
If you want to add to that funny moment, wait for all your items to become legendary and then hit a shrine of order xD

@@DKKiller581 I actually think it's worse on longer runs since your ATGs, Ukuleles, Crit glasses, sticky bombs, harvester scythe/predatory, and many other important common/uncommon items just slowly stack into the red items. For oddly shaped opal, 100 armor is équivalent to 50% damage reduction.
The formula is Armor/(100+armor)
Regenerating Scrap is my absolute favorite item of this dlc, but I do like pretty much all of them
for whatever reason, it seems like acrid's skills can no longer be auto fired by holding down the button. you have to spam m2 to fire neurotoxin even with purity. Kind of annoying
it seems to be every m2 from my testing. very annoying
maybe its for when people accidentally fire all of the backup mag stacks instead of just one, i remember some guy saying he just tapped m2 and all 6 stacks fired a while ago

What it's super busted is that safer times cooldown is reset by blast shower so the same build that gives you permabands also gives you permainvulnerability.
Well not really but it makes it really hard for you to take damage. You literally need to fall in lava. Or get attacked by a clay templar, wisp lunar chimera, overloading worm or enemy spam. Literally any enemy that could kill you in a second now is only able to just damage you, and the remaining ones are not a threat anymore

About the light flux pauldron.... the lower attack speed actually affects your cast time. So it may sound good on acrid, but his neurotoxin quickly becomes too slow to actually use

I used the trophy hunter's tricorn on a magma worm. It was going through underground. When I shot it, it died, but the item wasn't there. I think the item fell off under the map. I hope they make it so the item would spawn on top of the map when this happen.
Raincoat/Double Band - Loader would just be broken.
I also think Artificer definitely went up on the tier list with the Light Flux Pauldron. 50% reduction on cooldown for all skills at the expense of attack speed being reduced is insanely good. She's not a favorite of mine but it is noticeable.
Everyone will be broken if raincoat removes bands cool down.
Unfortunately, the half attack speed also means plasma bomb and icicle takes twice as long to charge. Flamethrower takes twice as long shoot out. Not sure how this means for artificer with better cooldowns, but I think it's still good since you can increase attack speed quite easily.

Something I found out yesterday, acrid can’t do the sprint cancel melee attack like before where you just hit with the first melee super fast, but spamming sprint makes the full attack go faster than normal.

People kept claiming it was a nerf when it gives Acrid a smidge more viability as a melee character instead of resorting to Visions of Heresy during long runs.
Something that I wasn’t sure if it’s a bug or not so I’m mentioning this here.
There was a run where I had the empathy cores and one of the void infestor latched into one of my probes and one shotted me with full hp. I was confused, but I think it’s because of the damage bonus that the probes get for each ally, and being at the new void area, basically every enemy was its ally making it have thousands of bonus damage, careful when having the empathy cores whenever trying the purple portals
That can happen from any infester, this makes all ally items basically worthless now since they can spawn on any stage via the 50% HP Void Items or Void Seeds.
Engineer's turrets don't seem to be taken over by them thankfully.

Actually, I noticed void monsters and normal monsters attacking each other.
Noticed that too, which I think is intentional by the lore on that void mite enemy.

Early on today an Imp overlord i spawned from my teleporter event teleported away and started fighting a void seed nearby instead of attacking me, it lost and died.
After a bit of testing (only having weeping fungus as the sole healing item I had), I have confirmed that the weeping fungus does actually work on Mobile Sentries. This means there is now a mobile equivalent to the "Bungus Engineer" , the aptly named "Wungus Engineer"

The regenerating scrap can also be used in the soups so infinite free legendary items and it targets the scrap and its not random(im not sure if woolie mentionned it but imma still say it)

The tricorn makes bulwark ambry more busted. You can get many tricorns and youu can force spawn a boss there by waiting outside the spawn zone or by using defiant gouge. Then you kill it and get whichever boss item you want since you're using command in that stage.
Not sure if anyone noticed but knockback momentum and going out of bounds seem broken with the update. Playing artificer becomes a nightmare when enemies can knock you out of bounds into a teleport loop while you are hovering. Even when you just fall off the map with a little momentum beforehand and lock you into a teleport loop. Hope they'll fix it soon though.

couple things to note about the new items
- the encrusted key drops a Void Potential, so you can choose the Void item you get inside. Hard to pass up on the guaranteed red on regular rusty lockboxes though (they will be fixed in a future patch);
- While you can't directly "use" the Executive Card, purchasing anything with gold will count as "using" the equipment, and will thus trigger Bottled Chaos and the Enigma Artifact.
The lunar item that turns things into more lunar items can affect the items given to enemies in the void fields
How many stacks do they get? Because if they get multiple stacks of shaped glass… uh oh

@@theguythatasked6400 I'm assuming it would depend on the stage. The enemies in the void fields get two stacks of five white items, two stacks of three green items and a single red, so the number of stacks of a lunar item they get would depend on the rarity of item it's replacing. Shaped Glass would be terrifying for enemies to get five stacks of, but I'm imaging them getting Transcendence or Visions. Just an endless barrage of tracking darts from every angle.
It appears to give 1 stack but we arn't too sure. All I know is that we were laughing our asses off seeing that they got a visions of heresy instead of the first white item

Pretty sure the last equipment spawns a cola machine, got it using the chaos item. The cola machine acts like a shrine wear you buy health from.
The Hunter's Harpoon makes Mercenary's mobility skill occasionally just go lightyears away.
Don't especially recommend on Mercenary.
Thing is, every other part of his kit gets even better with it
Also it speeds up attack speed too for some reason

I love watching your videos you do a great job of explaining things in a way that new people can understand but also giving stats and more in depth details for seasoned players.
After beating Mithrix if you go back to the start you can actually pet the frog now! (for 1 lunar coin) If you pet him 10 times a void portal to the void boss appears so now if anyone feels confident in their build they can kill both bosses in one run. (Eclipse 8 should be much more challenging now.
I actually use this way every single time to get to the void boss. It's so much easier to just clap mithrix and them insta void boss. I don't know what it is in the void stage before the void boss but every single time I've gotten there I instantly died within the first 5 seconds. I have no clue what to do in that stage since I haven't been able to even get a good look at it. Been there about 5 times so far and all of the times the same shit happened and the last 2 times I made sure to have no drones/turrets/polyps/beetle guards.
@@mattoe1 You know how the void enemies explode into an insta death aoe when they die? One of the new ones shoots out a small homing version of one of those. That might be what's killing you especially if they die while you aren't facing them.
@@tristanmorris5646 Yeah I know about the void jailer's death effect, but I always get unlucky with void infestors instantly taking a squid polyp or something and killing me before I know what's killing me. I've been actively avoiding purchasing any drones and picking up squid polyp, queen's gland, defense conduit and empathy cores. They'll all betray you now.
@@mattoe1 100% same. If you can get Forgive Me Please and a few gasoline I think you can have both allies and void items, but it's scary stuff still.
you pronounced lysate correctly! it's a biology term, lysis is the cell wall breaking so if you said "lysing cells" that's killing them. lysate is the slurry of dead cells and fluid you get if you kill/lyse a bunch of cells. the fuel cell walls are busted open in the model
if you haven't found out on the bugged equipment, it's possible with the equipment changing artifact to get it. It also will spawn a vending machine via drop pod method (as in squish whatever it hits) and you can use it to restore 25% hp after it lands.
Also the light flux pauldron is not multiplicative. I have negated its negative effect by having 5 soldiers syringes.
Can confirm pretty much the same for stone pauldron, was able to pick up some hooves and drinks, basically was able to negate it with enough items. Don't take it stage 1 like I did with Mul-T though

There are so many minor, small QoL and just nice little updates, too! I'm almost certain some ability and item icons got extra details, some outifts are tweaked if I'm mot mistaken, Commando spins his pistols now like a GIGACHAD when you select him - small stuff like that which isn't of paramount importance, but show Hoopoo really care about refining this game even this late into its development.

Fairly certain you can use bottled chaos to get the new equipment effect. It spawns this interactable which heals you
I always compared the Needle Tick to the good old Needler gun from Halo, which is probably exactly what it's a reference to.
And an important note / tip for Crusted Key: if you spend your last corrupted key, your keys will no longer be corrupted after. So, if you want to keep getting those free void items, you'll need to always save at least 1 key and only spend your extra keys.
Plasma Shrimp do, themselves, give some shield, so you don't have to worry about it being a dead item.
Voidsent Flame are amazing with crowbars, since they both count on full health enemies.
Benthic Bloom seems crazy amazing strong at first glance, but IMO it's not that good. Yes, red items are strong individually, but if you're on a long run you'll eventually be having only red items and none of the strong or synergistic white or green items. Also, based on the gameplay I've seen of it, it _seems_ to pick random upgrades from the same "category" of item - meaning if it picks an item that can come from a Healing chest to upgrade, the item it turns into will also be able to come from a Healing chest, and the same for Offense chests and Utility chests.
Light Flux Pauldron seems like another Purity - meaning it can be amazingly good on some survivors but really bad on others. Perhaps Acrid, Artificer, Engineer, Railgunner, and maybe at a stretch Loader and Mercenary. Mainly the ones bad at procing, with low base attack speed or bad primary attacks.
And like others have said, the Executive Card will proc all your equipment on-use effects whenever you buy something.
you probably need at least 2 plus attack speed items to round it out but I just tried out of curiosity earlier today and can confirm that Light Flux Pauldron works well to make a near continuous firing from Artificer.
Buy benthic bloom and egocentrism for maximum chaos
I love the shuriken conceptually, great to have more items that you play around rather than simple procs, but I've been playing a ton of Railgunner and shurikens love to steal your band procs. Basically need to aim into space, click and flick the cursor onto the target before the shot goes off. Fun item for melee survivors I bet
Lost seers lenses are amazing, i managed to get a stack of 48 in the simulacrum with ceremonial daggers and would screen wipe everything on the map instantly. Would recommend

Great for god runs where you get more then 10 crit glasses, underwhelming otherwise.
@@theguythatasked6400 id say its more useful on simuacrim and loops tbh. Its underwhelming if you're going straight to final boss, you'd be way better off taking the extra critical damage, but on longer loops you can get more crit glasses and simulacrim has you fighting more enemies so more chances for it to go off. Just my personal preference though
i'd say it depends who you're playing as and the loadout... obviously it's a very bad idea on railgunner
The last orange item is a phone that calls down a vending machine. The vending machine can crush enemies much like captain's special. The vending machine can be bought from infinitely, and throws healing soda cans at all nearby items while triggering all on interact effects, makes fireworks a legit build. The only way to encounter it as of now is bottled chaos or enigma (thats the only way u can log it for now)

One thing to note about the shipping request form. If you are playing multiplayer it will spawn a delivery for every player who has a request form.
The notes for Safer Spaces is a reference to Mark Waid's Insufferable, where the villain straps babies to his body to protect himself
Funny bug with power elixir is my friend and I were testing out the dlc and he got the vagrant boss item and when he used the 75% shrine of blood the elixir healed him and the vagrant kaboom happened at the same time. However, for some reason the explosion didn’t go off so he was just surrounded by the giant blue aura lol
I like how the corrupted version of tougher times is a waterbear, which fits since they’re known for their durability and look like mutated bears.

Everything from this update is amazing.
From small things like what was said in one of the comments about the Commando's animation when selecting him, to the items, maps AND the new soundtrack, it's just so awesome.
We kinda wrecked our game in our recent run though. Our frames were really struggling because of the artifact of swarms. Overall it's still good fun.
Time to come back and spend dozens of hours exploring new items/survivors. Thanks for the video.
The cooldown on safer spaces is a debuff in the same sense as the bands recharge, so it works with blastshower
Pretty sure the benthic bloom will only convert items into the same group/family of items. (Crit glasses are damaging items so it can only upgrade into a green damaging item, monster tooth is a healing item so it can only upgrade into a green healing item etc, etc…) Correct me if I’m wrong but that’s what I noticed after I got it.
The bugged equipment calls down a vending machine. You can interact with it for a very small price to receive a heal.
The best part is you can interact with it infinitely and it has no cooldown, so it synergizes with polyps and fireworks. I found out using bottled chaos, which randomly activated it.
Edit: not infinite usage, it runs out eventually.
It does run out eventually. I was spamming it on Commencement and it stopped giving me drinks.
The Elixer logbook description is great
The new seer glasses is like the armor piercing rounds (I think). It can instantly kill a boss, as long as it’s not the tp boss
If it has a red hp bar it can't be killed by the seers glasses.
I think the void item logs from petrichor V are written by the characters from the first game. Especially the lost seer's glasses. That seems exactly like what a sniper would say. That, and the benthic bloom- which if i had to guess was written by the OG commando.
Now that you mention it, there's no way the Plasma Shrimps log wasn't written by the Enforcer. Lycate Cell is a little harder to nail down, but I could see Loader or maybe Bandit.

I absolutely agree on the plasma shrimp. there is NO WAY anyone other than enforcer wrote that. As for the lysate cell, that feels like something commando or perhaps engineer would say. loader might also fall into that category.
@@borax8886 Engineer was my first thought, too, but it didn't quite seem technical enough for him. I mean, the author's example of "recycling" is using the ukulele as a bludgeon. Definitely feels more like street smarts than engineering.
10:11 This item is the newly hatched zoeay or however you spell it and it spawns void creatures like the giant lobster thing, void reavers, void devestater et cetera. So you get a bunch of void bois helping you
After playing with some friends we discovered that even if only ONE person has an Eulogy Zero, ANY player that opens a chest will also have a 5% chance of opening a lunar item.
Which can be both cool and annoying

The missing void item corrupts the knurl. Instead of healing it has a chance to spawn void enemies to serve you. Like void reavers
corrupts all yellow items
The regenerating scrap is great because for every multiple of 5, it's a free red when you go the bazaar. Works great on normal and command runs, because on normal runs you'll get junk greens that you can print at a scrap printer (I think these can spawn as printers), and on command you can just sacrifice some greens for future reds. This really accelerates the speed of god runs too.
For the Symbiotic Scorpion, if you have the Artifact of Vengeance enabled, your doppelganger can apply the debuff on you and it lasts until you enter a new stage. Hopefully you don't get hit, or, if the doppelganger has a high attack speed and/or has hitscan abilities, then pray and hope it dies of fall damage or something.

Combining the ICBM with the new void A2G is very chaotic. At one point I was shooting roughly 500 missiles per second
I believe Acrid got a minor buff; Using sprint to cancel his attack animation and give a faster attack actually doesn't reset the animation set; So if you sprint-attack-sprint-attack-sprint-attack, then he goes through his entire moveset very quickly, and allows you to hit the heal at the end of it. Previously, sprint-cancelling his attacks would reset this moveset, and you wouldn't get the heal out of it.
Important note is the void damage is stronger than it was prior. And not sure if this is a bug or not but it seems tougher times does not help as much as it use to in the void.
You can get the bugged equipment by using the artifact that switches equipments and you get the logbook by switching it with a different equipment on the ground, then switching it back. It looks like a phone and gives you a vending machine upon activation
Secret boss area logbook is in the first arena where you fight him and it spawns when the boss goes to second stage and opens a rift
I have learned with a beneficial bloom late game. First off it turned one of my greens into clovers and I had 11 blooms which created red items very very quickly which gave a nice 72 atg missiles which the next stage became brilliant behemoth becoming 86 behemoth which to say the least was insane looking
I love the throwing stars. While the swordsman is far from the strongest character, he is pne of the most fun imo and the stars will help a great bit. I think they did a good job with the dlc.
apparently goobo jr can spawn engineer turrets aswell. This combined with the new battery item makes it possible to have 5 turrets on the ground at one time.
You forgot an area, if you take the purple portal anywhere except after Mithrix, you get sent to an area which is supposed to replicate the pillars you're supposed to do before mithrix, but now in a void area with void enemies. When you beat that then you go to the new boss arena
