    You did such a great tutoring! I am a sewist since 3, went to pattern making school at 17. But, the rest I had to learn on my own. Your courses are priceless❤🎉

    I love your dress Anita. It is very similar to my favorite wrap dress pattern Vogue 8379. I love your fabric choice. The dress looks designer. Inspired!!!

    Nicely sewn and good information provided. The checklist should train the sewer to have it all on hand before starting to sew. I was guilty of winging it when I was younger. Not the best idea. Its important to get someone learning how to sew to develop good habits from the beginning. Saves a lot of heart and headache, which I learned the hard way.
    Wrap dresses don't work for my rectangular figure. My taste in fabrics tend towards black in color. Then I worked on dying everything the same shade of black. I'm a middle aged Goth. Regardless of style choices, the most important thing about sewing is to have fun with the process and even more fun with the completed garment without caring what others think.

    Showing the fabric details is so helpful-so many fabrics have similar names etc. or don’t have enough details on line.

    Wonderful video! The dress you sewed is so pretty, and I liked seeing the different fabrics, as well.

    ❤ the dress! Ty for showing the fabrics you could choose. It gets so overwhelming and exciting when you go in to fabric stores but still rather feel the material. Do you ever order on line? That is intimidating.

    • @AnitabyDesign
      @AnitabyDesign  Год назад +1

      You're very welcome. Yes, I do order online sometimes, but not a lot because I really love to feel the fabric too. I have ordered fabric swatches before from online stores to get a feel for the fabric before ordering, but I've only done that a few times.

    Great instructions and appreciate your detail!! Question: do you believe that I could use the top from pattern B (collar and short sleeves) and the bottom from Pattern A (straight skirt)? Thank you!

      Oh yes, absolutely. I did exactly that with this same pattern.

    Oh I love ❤ wrap dresses! I will be making this. I am a beginner with basic sewing knowledge and I grew up watching my mother sew garments for us and others.
    Question @AnitaByDesign. I would like to make my collar bigger (kinda 70's ish). Would that be just a matter of cutting the fabric a bit larger?

    • @AnitabyDesign
      @AnitabyDesign  Год назад

      You can adjust the collar piece to make it larger.

    I have Ankara fabric. do you think I can use it for this pattern?

    • @AnitabyDesign
      @AnitabyDesign  Год назад +2

      The pattern is sized for stretch fabric. If you want to use a woven fabric, you will need to choose a larger size or make pattern adjustments.
