This game is amazing There's one of the missions that have you going to a remote bermudas triangle-esque mystery island with random weather changes and lightnings that destroy planes, it's done so well you actually feel far from everything and afraid of the unknown, it conveys that feeling of scale and hostility really well
My goty 2022, lol, since I played this one only this year for the first time, after having played JC3, and became highly addicted to it. I know this review is for pc, but this still looks good today on the PS3 (In context of course with graphics at that time on that system). A few minor glitches, which sporadically appear if you play for too long. Loads of fun. Loads of chaos. One man army. Nuff said. Agree 100% with this review.
The only thing I would add to the game are replayable missions, or make it like the first game where you could go to any town/villa and do side-missions to improve the faction relationship. Other than that is a really fun game that I still replay from time to time.
I miss it as well, like in the first one we could take some cities, airports etc and we could notice Guerilla army over there. On the second we take some town, but then what, enemies still have its control.
Still the greatest Just Cause game imo and still the closest thing to the ultimate Bond simulator we’ll ever have. Still looks amazing at max settings on a 4k monitor too.
Great video Gaming, very intricate and detailed, a lot like the game itself, this was one of my first open world games I ever played as a kid back on the 360 and as good as it was I gotta say man, after this, Just Cause 3, THAT is the real deal, the series reached its bombastic, action movie pinnacle with that installment, 4 was ok too (definitely better on the performance side on launch) but didn't quite innovate enough on 3's mechanics and gadget versatility to really shine, dem tornadoes were lit tho 👀🌪
I wish in JC4 they didn’t get rid of liberating settlements. That’s one of my favorite things about just cause, blowing things up & freeing the people from oppression. I was kind of disappointed they removed liberation in JC4 but atleast the story is interesting.
Completed this game a couple of months ago after not touching it for well over 10 years and I must say; I don't get the hype. It's extremely repetitive and the gameplay loop is unrewarding, I had to force myself to do the same thing over and over again to do the next not differential story mission. playing it for an hour, sure. playing it for actual completion, not so much.
You know, I played the demo when it came out and didn't connect with the game. I think I'll finally give it another chance since I did pick it up on the cheap at some point. Great review! Thanks!
This is the one I know most people like. I have played a little bit of it, but not enough for me to say if I like it or not. I do have it and the 3rd game, so I'll need to play them more sometime.
This was the first game I ever decided, "Hey, let's try to legit 100% this thing." Not because I'm one of THOSE guys or a glutton for trophies, but because I just really enjoyed the feel and flow of the game, despite how repetitive that is. So I get like 80% through the map, probably 50+ hours in, when I find a settlement that I mostly completed but was missing something, and for the life of me I can not find the last structure to destroy, even after hours of wandering around. Come to find out, certain settlements have structures that will get destroyed, but maybe 10% of the time won't count toward completion, so they won't count as completed even if you destroy everything there. AAAAAND if you save your game, you're screwed. Realizing that this is what happened to me was one of my most disappointing gaming experiences.
That sounds incredibly annoying. I remember just taking forever to look for that one last structure and never finding it. That's probably what happened
Just Cause 2 is a big dumb fun game. Playing it might decrease your IQ level by great margin, but if the game tells you it's ok to car surf then you know you can't resist.
Jeez I remember coming back to this game after ages and thinking wow this is so repetitive and lazy with its variety with the missions/side quest type things
As someone from Malaysia, where the game was inspired by, seeing all these Malay language words used for settlements, people and groups sometimes made me chuckle because of how silly some of them sound to us. Like there's one place called Kampung Anjing Gila. It literally means Crazy Dog Village. Also, it gets tiring with the Panau Army being so triggered easily for no reason.

Ah, my first Just Cause game. The memories.
Only because people recommend this game rather than the first game
Same! i remember playing the demo over and over. Best pre order decision i made.
Oh yeeeah oh yeeeeah 🤦🏻♂️

"Definitely check it out" is an awesome catchphrase for Gaming Pasttime, and it's still really cool!

The best of all just cause games and it’s a shame they strayed so far in just cause 3-4
I remember getting this game on pc all I did was just rampage its crazy how much destruction you can do in this game

You gotta admit as bad as JC4 was it was a great improvement in the map department.
@@isaaciktaile1118 and performance department, cause JC3's I remember was rough.
@@brocksrocks9012 Difficult to forget
this was the best one. Cars were so much better handling.

This one was LEAGUES better than the first

"Why are we doing all this? What's the goal? What's the plot?" "Eh, Just 'Cause." "Because it's a just cause?" "Mhm, that too. Just Cause 2."
Just Cause 2 is a big dumb fun game. Playing it might decrease your IQ level by great margin, but if the game tells you it's ok to car surf then you know you can't resist.
Great review. Although listening to the narrator take a deep breath every other sentence gave me asthma.
The explosions in the previous game was more beautiful then this one
i personally enjoyed Just Cause 3 better, but that said, JC2 is an amazing game.
Pls do another doom mod review. Ashes 2063 and Ashes Afterglow
I'm a big fan of Just casue 3 so i wanted to try this game but this game keep crashing on my pc
At 9:49 he mentions that when he turned off the decals that the crashing stopped
Just cause 2 and 3 are so much fun!
Pls review jc4
Isn't this game fun?!
Actually yes, it is fun. Way too fun.
Loved slingshotting myself around the map
Can you please review the yakuza series, starting with yakuza 0 ?
Ninjas !
I like just cause 2 but ion like how you needa pay money to drop vehicles as far as i remember
Jeez I remember coming back to this game after ages and thinking wow this is so repetitive and lazy with its variety with the missions/side quest type things
You've played the Mercenaries games, right? If not you should definitely check them out, they're very similar to the Just Cause series.
can you do a review on the duke nukem forever 2011 enhanced mod and dnf 2001 resto ? please

fun game
I only played the demo, yet I loved Just Cause 3! I will definitely grab the game just to have fun with its gameplay, no story, just playing around!
Lack of plane and heli models variety is a huge con of the game. Like 2 fighter jets and 2 more helis.
Why in the hell did you skip 3?
Why is everyone making Just Cause 2 reviews for new year?
