I love the Vetiver Intense far better than the OG! It lasts and lingers on my skin for hours. Soft and delightful! I’m also a huge fan of Voyage de Hermès. It’s woodsy musky aroma is another beauty
This is a beautiful fragrance with over 10 h longevity and above average projection for 5 h. It's mostly linear, but the scent profile is amazing. I don't get the cinnamon Max is talking about, but the rest of the review is spot on.
I like that they don't just mass produce and pump em out to the market. They really focus on each and every one to being rather elite in its specific scent profile. Vetiver done right I think
Agree. Tried it for the first time few days ago and immediately felt similarities with Viking. Also I felt something like eau sauvage ? Did you notice any such similarities ?
My top 3 from this house is the original , the parfume and the eau tres fraishe. All great fragrances and unique in their own way. My favourite vetiver is acqua di parma colonia essenza , just gorgeous. So i'll sample this and see how it compares. Great video , appreciate all the content and information you continue to share. Sláinte🍀
I recently bought this. It's very nice, but my Terre favorite is still the Pure parfume. My top 3 from Hermes: 1. Ambre Narguile 2. Terre d'hermes pure parfume 3. Vetiver Tonka
Dorf , ambre narguile is my #1 ... all time , you might like Givanchy “for men-ONLY” ... it smells similar to a warm Escada perfume that’s been discontinued in 2002 CASUAL FRIDAY
I'll pick this up as soon as it becomes available. My local stores don't have it yet. I do love the OG Hermes scents even using todays reformulated standards: Equipage, Rocabar, and Bel Ami are my top three. And at least in my part of the world no one smells like me when I wear them! Great review and take care!
Was in Doha Hamad International last November, they had a buy 2 get 35% discount for all Hermes perfumes. Was planning to restock my original Terre d'Hermes, but because of the promo, got me the Eau Intense Vetiver as well Gotta say I totally agree, love the scent
A good review Max. Gotta be honest though. For me, the smell was kind of a let down. Don't know if it was my skin or the weather, but it seemed far duller than the rest of the line with a strange modest warmness about it, probably coming from the added spices. Can't say I like it just yet, but I'll definitely give it another few wearings in time.
Excellent review, I think you're very articulate - I agree with everything you say.....except I don't like Eau Tres Fraiche - I think it's pointless. Many thanks......all the way from London !
Love the Review. Hermes does fragrances properly it means the messenger of gods LOL ....Terre de Hermes intense eau vetiver is a true flanker. A bit of the original but modified to bring more of a lemony citrus instead of dirty orange. Love the vetiver and smoke pepper spice that is brought to the playing field. I think it’s a classy, simple and bold. I could not be more pleased. It’s a change in the pace of flankers to be honest that flood the fragrance market. TRAP
Ordered 2 bottles from Bloomies that came today! I love this 💖 Grapefruit and Green Bergamot citrus opening! Lingers while sweet green light vetiver takes center stage The Szechuan pepper gives it an edge 💖
Hi Max...I bought a bottle of Dermot o Leary Veviter & Cedarwood which for the price is a fantastic juice.. It has similar notes to this so I'm really looking forward to giving the various flankers a try... And hope to get a bottle soon...Great review..atb Lee
Dear Max, I like to use fragrances such as bvlgari wood essence or Kenzo homme edp for fall and spring, Versace eau fraiche or DG light blue intense for summer.... which fragrances would work for winter, without jumping completely to the opposite kind of fragrance. (prefer rather casual and not to loud fragrances )
I think you can go with YSL Y edp, Bleu de Chanel edp, Prada Luna Rossa carbon (Sauvage vibe but quieter), Prada Lhome and Chanel Allure Homme sport eau extreme they last but they are not really loud. I actualy started with Versace Man Eau Fraiche many years ago and when i jumped to fragrance game i started with Prada Luna Rossa carbon, so...🙂
Love the original, I've been hearing that this flanker is kinda redundant and not necessary if you already own the OG scent. Definitely would like to get my nose on it tho, vetiver is one of my favorite notes.
For me it's a like, but not a love. Jean Claude Ellena's fragrances have always been so distinctive. A certain airy, liquid quality. A separation of the notes that never feels cluttered or cloying. That's what made the EDT, Parfum, & Eau Tres Fraiche such masterpieces to my nose. I was expecting something similar from Eau Intense Vetiver and instead I got something far more linear and solid. Although it didn't wow me the first time around I'll try it again, certainly.
TERRE is what really got me into designer/ niche fragrances. I have used it for the past 5 years and although I bought the perfume version as well, Terre does not stay on my skin, or gather the many compliments it used to (new formulation?). So I now wear it as a casual day fragrance. I still love that fragrance, but would have to really really every second hour to notice it. I guess it is not different from the new flanker...... Very few people make fragrances that last. Tom Ford private collection is one of the few ones.
Nice Review. I was a little surprised when I first tried it out. It definitely has Hermès DNA but my initial reaction was that it remained me of Hermès eau de rhubarbe. (With it’s sour, tart fruitiness) What are your thoughts about this?
Appreciate the descriptive and comparative review. In fact, you have convinced me to test it. I found the original, Hermes EDT, to be extremely pungent and even a little acrid, despite it's almost addictive quality...
I think that fragance is all about Vetiver, and the orange is really on the background. I prefer the Eau très fraiche all life long, and the original. My favorite is Un Jardin sur le nil, I also like Bel Ami Vetiver. I find this a decent release, but not necessary at all. I think Hermès should try to go a little bit more gourmand from time to time, in the fresh department they are the best (designer realm), but they should have some other offerings...
@@SuperKREPSINIS If you are bossy and wear suit and tie, you can rock this, even if you're a younger man. But watch out, this fragrance won't pull in shallow ladies.
@@zsb707 what would you ofer for a intp-t 26 years old guy with a long brown hairs to atract ladies :D i want fragnance that if i spay in the morning, next day it still would smell, i have imperio armani, on the bottle it says "stronger with you", smell last for few days but i dont like it, affraid it for older guys and smells like cinamon or something, btw sorry for bad english
Just got a bottle ... love the original , as well as most “earthy” scents , regardless of ingredients , my first spray it seemed to woody like pine sap.... which I really like and star anise ! I love it my wife “accepts” it 🤙🏼
Max, thumbs up for your video! I'm glad Terre D'Hermes Eau Intense Vétiver works for you. For me it was a disappointment, because I think it's too mature, too formal. To my nose, the opening is the weak point - very ordinary lemon-like citrus, after that peeper and that combination is too formal and mature for me. Kind of old school/dated work scent...nothing more. I'm sorry, but that's my opinion. I love and own the original Terre, also love Terre d'Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche and the EDP edition of the classic, but this new Eau Intense Vétiver version is a complete failure to me. Too plain, too lemony, too ordinary and professional. No joy, no life, no playful accords. But that's only my opinion. Wish you all the best!
I use very little TdH EIV and it stays even delicious to my senses. I think that is the secret. Never spray it close to your skin, make a cloud and get into it. Im sure you will also love it.

I wear this often. I get a rhubarb note when I first put it on my skin. Love it.
Love this flanker and will be adding to the others I already own asap
I'm telling you I've had spice n wood and this drydown is so similar it's very close to creed
This one really reminds me of Creed Viking and i find it quite distinctive from the original.
Hey Bart, I can definitely see the resemblance. Like they could be cousins!
Agree. Tried it for the first time few days ago and immediately felt similarities with Viking. Also I felt something like eau sauvage ? Did you notice any such similarities ?

Thanks Dawson, I need to get the parfum - that's the only one I haven't tried!

It has the same vetiver theme from the original. But uses a different note of pepper and citrus

What's the best Terre do Hermes out of the 3,?
I love the original but I'm really growing fond of this intense vetiver!
I've has 3 bottles of the original, what do you think of the one with the white lid? Thanks
Todos os flankers do Terre perderam aquela nota efervecente que só o original tinha ... e que é tão inesquecível.
Thanks for this comprehensive review Max. Terre d'hermese is probably my favorite in my collection. Is this a redundant purchase like I've been hearng
To me it isn't because I find it a bit more subtle than the others but still retains that gorgeous vetiver accord Hermes signature scent profile.
Open question: What’s the best vetiver out of this one, Tom Ford Grey Vetiver, Guerlain Vetiver and Aqua Di Parma colonia? Any recommendation?
I like them all, but for me, GUERLAIN Vétiver is the benchmark masculine vetiver: it’s been one of my fragrance mainstays for nearly four decades.
Thanks for the review Max I’m really excited to try this one! -josh
