Max, you were one of the first fragrance influencers I subscribed to. I enjoy your videos. You're certainly one of the most knowledgeable people doing this . With that said, I don't own PDM Herod . What are your thoughts on this one?
Herod is great, it has been heavily reformed though. Old versions of it had a more pungent, darker juice and longer lasting approach. The scent profile still one of the best of it's kind. I have talked about Herod for years since its release back in 2012, so I thought I kept a fresher list with some new options...

What a list Max! Ferragamo Oud is amazing for the price! My favourite Tobacco scents are Nishane Fan Your Flames, Naxos and Amouage Journey Man . I have about 15 tobacco scents and growing.

Royal Tobacco is probably my favourite, together with Les Indemodables Vanille Havane, both the OG and the Oud flanker which is incredible!! and I have to say that TF Tobacco Vanille still really does it for me. Honourable mentions to Guerlain Tobacco Honey and also Miller Harris Feuilles de Tabac

Tobacco Oud is NOT discontinued, it’s just been pulled out of the US market because of bad sales. It’s still available in UK ,or at least it was in June when i was there.
It's not on Tom Ford's website...

Seriously Max, you didn't include PdM Herod? it's one of the best tobacco frags out there still to this date. I would and do take this over a majority of the higher end ones that you named.
PdM is overrated
Herod is a bit overrated if you ask me, but like I tell everyone, if you like it that's what matters. I am quite sure I like some fragrances that other people will not like as well.

Amouage Boundless is by far my favorite. It's actually my favorite cologne period. It smells just like the Tobacco Shop from the malls back in the 1980s.

Habanos is insane as a tobacco fragrance. Tabac Royal/Empiryan/Smoulder would all be in the same genre of amber tobaccos, also more complex in nature. Edit: had never even heard of Tabaróme Privé

To all. Ive tried over 30 so called Tobaccco frags. All of them except Herod have at most a slight hint of tobacco. None are even 10% as good as Herod. Tobacco Vanille is a spice frag not tobacco. 2nd closest tobacco frag is La Magie Du Tobac by Arome. The vanilla and tobacco are crazy good.
I enjoy spicebomb extreme , I hope they won’t discontinue that gem 💎. I enjoy wearing journey man . I did sample royal tobacco but I don’t like it . Way too spicy for my liking

I agree Royal Tobacco is not that good. Almost blind bought a bottle cause of the hype.
Sample, sample, sample!!! My favorite is Royal Tobacco, but as Max says "its not for everyone". Even sample the budget friendly bottles if possible because I didnt like 18.21, smelt very synthetic to me.

To me Royal Tobacco is holy grail but if you are looking for a warm weather Tobacco fragrance, try Stephane Humbert Lucas Une Nuit A Doha! It's an ethereal, airy, white floral Tobacco.
14:30 - Robusto refers to the size of the cigar whereas Maduro would refer to the type of tobacco leaves used for the cigar. So a maduro cigar could be all sorts of different sizes, like robusto, corona, perfecto, churchill, etc..

Some of my favorite Tobacco frags: Naxos, Carlisle, Herod, Tobacco Vanille, Guerllain's Tobacco Honey, Filosofia, Chergui, and Jazz Club. Enigma is great as well. It has tobacco but not sure I'd really call it a tobacco fragrance.

Try Oud precioux by reine de Saba. That one hace a beautiful tabaco and Oud and a little Bacarat rogue twist to it. It’s pretty skanky and beautiful. 😊

I saw you mentioned the original Tabarome and wondered if you have ever sampled the Tabarome Millésime and if it compared to Herrera for Men. Use to wear it years ago, and I mean years ago, then it became watered down. Wondering if Tabarome Millésime could be a better upscale alternative to Herrera for Men.
I have Tabarome Millésime and (vintage) Herrera for Men. They're both great options if you want a fresher tobacco fragrance. Yes, they share some similarities. But a vintage bottle of Herrera for Men is probably still cheaper than a new bottle of Tabarome Millésime. And to be honest, it smells just as good to me.

Vanille Havane is my absolute favorite tobacco fragrance. Which of the Alghabra tobacco fragrances are your favorite... Cuban, Jamaican, or Peruvian?
I would have to agree, vanille havane is up there! As far as Alghabra tobacco collection, I enjoy all 3, sometimes I even layer them - having said that, if I had to choose just one, I would have to go with Cuban!
