    Ok, I have some thoughts...
    1. I already knew Sancho wasn't really gonna be feeling this one since there's no Stallone and due to there being a number of stylistic departures from the previous entries.
    2. Nick mentions the fact the whole movie could have been solved with an apology and honestly, that's probably one of the most realistic things about the story. I can't tell you how many times I've seen beefs, misunderstandings, grudges, etc. as an adult that could have been handled with a simple phone call or apology. But ego gets in the way or maybe nerves or maybe so much time has passed, you just sort of ignore it. Donnie running away from the truth instead of apologizing or trying to make things right is very believable.

It wasn't like , a hard NO without Rocky. I was open to a movie without him, I saw Creed 2 as a great send off for Rocky as a pivotal Character. But they shouldn't at least keep him around for one or two scenes.

as a black man, who’s father was institutionalized I gotta say that Jonathan major put on an amazing performance through subtle mannerisms. I believed that he and MBJ were brothers that blamed each other for their circumstances in the past and present. And the way they included the abusive group home father is bold and greatly appreciated for a mainstream blockbuster movie like this.

I just wish they went harder with it. It always feels like he's on the edge of blowin' up, but we never really get to see the full truth of Dame's pain. Majors did an incredible job and emotionally Majors is captivating, but what the character actually does isn't up to the standard of what he's portraying. If he had no dialogue in the movie and it was just his behavior and his faces, l'd think no differently about him.

What an absolute banger of a trilogy. Michael B. straight up told us, “don’t forget I’m an artist too” with that final fight. The action and choreography was on another level here. I cried, I cheered, and got chills. I loved what it had to say about combating toxic masculinity.
That said, I felt Rocky’s absence the entire time. He’s part of his story. He’s family. Yes, he got a beautiful sendoff in Creed II, but it still felt like a piece was missing. I loved how personal this film was, but that actually made it more bizarre that Rocky wasn’t there. Rocky not being there for Donnie’s retirement fight, most personal battle, or mother’s death does not sit well with me at all. It’s as if he’s disappeared from his life and they don’t speak anymore.

@@realrobrose I mean, I am totally open to being wrong about that being the last info to come out. But I'm not exaggerating what I heard. What I heard was Lundgren was on board, then the stuff from Frank and Sly came out about the producers, and then Lundgren said he didn't realize what had been going on with Sly and he said he would not do it without Sly's blessing. So, unless it's come out that he's going forward with it because Sly did give him the blessing (totally possible that I missed that), I would doubt it's happening. But this isn't explored in the movie. All you'd need is one character who goes "why don't you just say you're sorry?" and get to see Creed struggling with how he can't.
In the second Creed Rocky's flaw is he can't just call his son who we as the audience know would just happily accept his father, but the movie makes it clear how easy it would be for him to just do it if he wasn't in his own way.
This movie never acknowledges that they need to just work through their shit. Even if the idea is they need to work through it by fighting each other, that is never explored as well.

I don’t have as much exp w/ the Rocky movies, but if I did I think I would share more of the sentiments of the cast, but I loved this movie.
I do think that bringing the city of LA into the story in the same way Philly was a part of the Rocky movies would have elevated it. And to Tim’s point where it felt like 20mins of the movie was missing, I did notice that a shot from the trailer where Creed’s family was in some sort of penitentiary set was missing in the final cut, so maybe there is a bit there that hit the cutting room floor. But from minute one I am into this movie. I loved the ride this took me on, the score and soundtrack are going into my playlist, and I’m probably gonna buy this to have on demand. I’m very interested to see more of MBJ directing and I definitely am keeping an eye out for anything Johnathan Majors is in after the trifecta of Devotion, Quantumania, and Creed 3.

Even a few cameos would of been acceptable at the funeral & maybe before the fight would of been enough. But the film in general didn't feel like a rocky/creed film, no heart or inspiration. Felt like a poor version of the film "Warrior".

@@HugoRodallega20 saying “there’s no heart to this movie” is legitimately baffling to me. The backbone of the story is about the abuse and trauma that Adonis and Dame both experienced together as kids. Dame gets locked up because of Donny’s actions and then proceeds to live the life Dame was going to live had he not been locked up. The entire movie Bianca is trying to get him to open up about the abuse and what happened to them as kids, but Donny just can’t do it. Whether it be the guilt he feels from living a free man while his best friend was locked up or just the trauma in general. Y’all can dislike the movie, but I’m not hearing this whole “there’s no heart” argument.

@@blakeschriewer4570 they built up this story about Leon and alluded to who he was to Creed and Dame for an entire hour and a half only for the big reveal to be underwhelming. They don't even show how he was abusive or what trauma he specifically inflicted on the boys. The only line we get is "we wasn't no angels but this man beat us like no kid deserved to get beaten." That's it. Not even a flashback scene of said abuse. Very disappointing. There was more heart in Rocky 5. At least each story arc had a satisfying resolution.

This movie definitely could have used a few things to make it a bit better. Rocky should have been in the movie even if it was just a phone call after the funeral. And I think Dame should have had a few title defenses and Dame should have been the one to go on First Take. There Dame would have called Creed out for a fight and reveal that Creed ran from the cops

I just watched, gotta say I’m on the higher side of it I really enjoyed it. However part of me still wonders 1. Why did Adonis not root for Damien in the beginning? I get Felix was his fighter but I feel like he should’ve showed him support. When nick says he never got the impression that Damien wanted to fight creed i think he was right until that moment he wasn’t happy for him and further made him feel like creed really forgot about him giving him the motivation to want that fight. Then I wondered why everyone was so disgusted with Damien when he beat felix. He had a few dirty shots but it happens in boxing and he focused on the bad arm which all fighters would do but he knocked him out in legal fashion. The fights were great imo and was I the only one that didn’t make the connection that the guy from the picture was the guy to who hurt drago? Lol did not remember that guys face but it makes much more sense now lol

I understood him not cheering for Damien because he was trying to clean his hands of him. Dame represented his past that he metaphorically and literally was trying to run away from. Also the fact that Dame Cheated, fought dirty and injured Felix. Who wasn't just Donnie's fighter he's his investment. He poured time money and resources into training him only for Dame to come in and jeopardize it all.

a few of the things Nick had problems with in terms of realism, but happen in combat sports.
    1. Champs do retire young and seemingly inexplicably. Andre Ward just did it a few years ago. Seems to be who the character was inspired by
    2. If a promoter loses a fighter before the fight, they don't take the number 2 contender. They take the next fighter they promote. (still unbelievable Dame got the shot, but weird fights are made in real life in the last minute).
    3. Fighters usually become buddies after they fight and often become sparring partners. happens all the time in boxing and UFC.

I've watched Creed 3. I am a big fan of all the previous movies but something was just missing in this one.
There were quite a few scenes where I was thinking if they had just made it a little different then it would've been better. With all these added up, it made me a bit annoyed.
The music did not appeal to me at all, but it doesn't seem aimed at me. It was a bit similar in Creed 2 but at least the training montage songs were catchy in that.
I will add that I think I understand why the film was delayed because there was a big plot point shown in the first trailer that didn't end up in the final film as well as some other scenes that would've benefitted the film. So I think they spent the time in editing to change the tone.
Overall though it was ok but it just didn't hit me like previous films. My overall mood ATM in my life is not great, so this may very well affect my opinion of the film.

Wish we didn't have such a long time jump and had more of a legacy building moment rather than creed having retired and come back. I feel like it would have been cool to see creed take on like an "internet star" or someone who felt more like a one and done type character. I just wanted more of the Damien character as a whole.
This could have been broken up into 2 movies to add more depth and character moments to make that final fight feel like it meant more and I would have been so on the hook all the way through. Still good, just not great.
... and would have liked a proper goodbye to rocky. Since I feel he is probably dead now that they did the time hop.

This ranks above Rocky V/3/Balboa but its the lowest of the Creed films for me. I loved everything they set up with Adonis's past, his guilt and Damian's connection to him.
I think all my issues with this film can be summed up with everything being resolved far too quickly after Damian Wins the Belt.
Damian's title reign should've been based around his limited time table in a Young man's game and how he shouldve gotten a few wins with him willingly becoming one of the most hated boxing champions in history by fighting dirty and taking out every fighter in Adonis's Gym until Adonis is forced to fight.
Adonis's training montage is too short and lacks proper build up because we don't get the sense that Adonis is suffering any sort of age catching up to him yet when he "retires".
The final Fight between Dame and Adonis should've been another 5 minutes longer with the reactions of the crowd there and we should've seen this turn into a dirty brawl after they both exhausted all of their tricks and this turned from a battle of experience into a Battle of wills.
Finally the resolution of Adonis and Dame was far too easily fixed when the complex nature of that relationship established in the first half actually made for an amazing conflict between the two because in some ways Damian is right.
The entire first half should've been centered around everyone telling Donnie he shouldn't be Helping Dame but we as the Audience know the truth and can see how Adonis would justify all of his actions behind his guilt and how Damian was using that against him but again,it's all resolved far too quickly.
I liked the fighting, the camera work, and the Boxing ring inside The LA Dodgers Field is an amazing Idea and I wish it more Martial arts Films or boxing films used this idea.

Remember Creed 1? He had a theme song, Fighting Hard, Fighting Strong. At the time, I thought it was an okay theme song. BUT, you really do miss it in Creed 3. The montage could have featured the city of LA, shown how inspiration Creed was to the city of LA. And Dame was a great character in the first half and then just fell off. I wish we detached from Creed and got some scenes with just Dame as a champion. How one moment you are a nobody to everybody wanting to be your friend. That would been a cool angle to explore. The first two acts of this movie are really good. And then it goes south for me when Dame wins the belt because it goes into Rocky mode and this movie was doing something different up to that point.

I went in thinking Rocky not being in this movie was fine, but left feeling the movie was missing heart, and realising Rocky is the heart of the franchise, and I felt like even the lack of mentioning him was extremely strange as if he was being retconned lol. I also felt like Rocky would have fed in to the family themes so well in this movie. To be clear I still don’t think Rocky needs to be in every movie, but I think this movie would have benefited with him being in it. This movie has heart on its own, given the story between Adonis and Dame, as well as Adonis’ family life. In terms of the movie feeling predictable and popcorn; that’s “Rocky” in a nutshell. I love the movies, but no one goes into them expecting the unexpected. Pretty sure a huge reason why these movies have been so successful is because they lean into the tropes and story structure. Creed 1 and 2 were more inspiring than Creed 3. Adonis Creed is an important character in Movies. He is a legacy character from a phenomenal character. Creed 3 didn't have an inspiration point to jump off of. Childhood friend returns to what? Take away a title, Creed didn't even hold? Dame didn't do anything to hurt Creed as a promoter, business man or family. All he did was tricked him to giving him the fight. The movie could have DUG DEEPER, deeper into how manipulative Dame was. Deeper into the trauma of Adonis' past. Instead, it skipped all that to follow a Rocky formula of a third act. I wanted this movie to be Great but it's style of substance. Once again, we have Creed 2 being the top of our list of Rocky and Creed movies.
