I sold my '94 Heritage a little over 12 years ago and haven't been on a motorcycle ever since but as soon as I see one of these POV vids it puts me right back to the days. I immediately remember exactly how it felt when that big pile of iron started moving, how the wind felt round my nose and how I used to watch the reflections of the scenery passing by on the three headlight housings. I feel the urge coming back ... oh man ...
I love that brown and silver color scheme. It’s different than the normal black, blue or red and gorgeous. Have fun on the new Deluxe. Thanks for watching.
A great review! vibration through the handlebars will make Johnny rider tired real fast. I'm glad it's gone! Smooth riding means less wrenching to keep it together and running! Its super good to hear you're not riding on a brick either, and never heard you once complain about the heat from the engine giving your inner thighs a jeans covered sunburn. Harley has done their homework this year and made a Bike worth riding on! Thank you for the review!!
I have one kid graduating from college and one in high school. Phew! Did a demo day couple weeks back at my dealer. I’ll give HD credit with their focus on demo rides. My dealer lets you ride where you want, and doesn’t do an escort. That could be good or bad. 😎
We were escorted and did not get a chance to get out on any highways or open roads at all. The fastest I went was probably 45 or 50 mph. They were nice enough to take me out on my own without waiting for other riders to arrive. I saw only two others show up while I was there which was a little unusual if you ask me given the nice weather. Maybe it was Mother’s Day weekend that kept folks away.
There not worried one little bit what you do or where you take it. Between your cellphone giving off locationand a hidden locator on the Bike, they can both see and check your driving habitsand your location just as if it was a bait car for the police department. When they give you an ok to test, theyre saying to you, You, my friend, can be Trusted with the Best of them.!! WoW! Its a big reflection on your Character!
I really liked it. I think I prefer it over the Heritage just because of all the nice chrome. Not a big fan of the new blacked out look on the Heritage. Thanks for watching and ride safe.
What do you make of the news that HD is going to discontinue making the Deluxe?? I’m a owner and feel confused as to why they would drop such a classic HD
I have not heard that but it’s very disappointing if they do it. The Deluxe is a classic. I guess the Heritage must outsell it and they just decided the two models were too similar and decided to go with the Heritage. Still disappointing.
They went back on the new Heritage models and offered a chromed out trim for the 2020 models with the 107 motors. The 114’s are still blacked out. I’m kind of 50/50 on the blacked out look. Some days I think it’s kinda cool and the next day I like the chrome better. My Suzuki C50T is chrome and it looks great when it’s all shined up.
GA Ramblin Man I’m with you on the blacked out look. I like the Road King Special blacked out. Maybe a Street Glide. The thing I think is unfair is that you can only get the 114 in the specials. Well maybe I want a 114 in chrome!! Nope!!! After the Deluxe, I like the Fatboy then the Roadking.
My next bike is either the Heritage or Road King. I lean toward the Heritage on even numbered days and the Road King on odd numbered days. Guess the one I end up will just depend on what day I show up at the dealer with a wad of cash in my pocket.....:)
Where I live, chrome attracts heat like a sponge drinks water. ( Arizona) blacked out is actually a little more practical for this climate. I'm for a little more flash if I'm in a milder climate, but ill take a blacked out one too. it makes the sidewalls stand out too even more!
Harley-Davidson motorcycles are definitely pricey. I’m not sure any manufacturer could sell that bike for $6,000 but a new Suzuki C50 like I ride is around $9,000. It has a smaller motor and no ABS but similar in most other aspects. Thanks for watching and ride safe.
I can't rate this video because all they did was out around the neighborhood. You really didn't give me the info I need to purchase such a machine.I need to know what this bike is really all about. I can't go the the dealer, test ride the bike and bring it back in a dumpster because it broke. That is what you guys are for.
Craig Pennington unfortunately this is the route they allowed us to ride. I’m sure if you were test riding a bike and they thought you were a serious buyer they will let you give it a much longer test ride on streets and highways. Thanks for watching and ride safe.
Hi George,
Found you again. Nice Deluxe sweet ride back streets of Georgia. Good watching you again
You continue to inspire me.
Be well
The Softail Deluxe was a great bike. I wish Harley-Davidson still made that one. Just a classic looking bike.

Go for it! And thanks for watching and ride safe when you get back on a motorcycle.
Nice video. I purchased one of these (two-tones Fortune Silver / Sumatra Brown) without a test ride and I love it.
I love that brown and silver color scheme. It’s different than the normal black, blue or red and gorgeous. Have fun on the new Deluxe. Thanks for watching.
I just bought one today. It’s being shipped. My Christmas present to myself!!!
Now that’s what I call a Christmas present to remember! Have fun on it - it’s a great bike.

I’m going to pick one up in 3 days. Can’t wait.
I predict you will love it. Thanks for watching.
I love motorcycle harley davidson Will always be my favorite
I will say that Harley and Indian really are getting the demos out there. I just wish more motorcycle companies would do the same.

Thanks for watching and ride safe.

wow what an awesome bike, fantastic

Just ran into a friend with a 17 deluxe, had to have a little ride :-)
I prefer the Deluxe with the Twin Cam. Looks nicer and sounds like a Harley.
The 103 twin cam was a great motor. I live the old style look of the Deluxe. Thanks for watching and commenting. Ride safe.

Thanks👍 You too!!!
I know this is a dumb question, but whats the horse power?

GA Ramblin Man I would think the Slim is too similar. Deluxe has that classic look along with chrome. I’m glad I bought mine when I did.

Z2018 107ci ? You should have tried the 114ci
I want to try the 114 CI motor in the future. The 107 was all they had this day. Thanks for watching.
The Deluxe only comes with the 107. I've a 107 Deluxe and a 114 Breakout, the difference in power is not much. 107 is smoother.
2:45 before he gets to dealerships
What is your height mate?
6’-0” or 183 cm.
Nice bike except it's on the smaller size compared to the Heritage.
Pretty much a stripped down Heritage Classic. But I like that they left the chrome and didn’t black everything out.

Those white wall tires are sweet.
funny how Harley sales $6000 cycles for $20000
