  • The Aérospatiale Alouette II (French pronunciation: [alwɛt], "lark"; company designations SE 313 and SA 318) is a French light helicopter originally manufactured by Sud Aviation and later Aérospatiale. It was the first production helicopter powered by a gas turbine engine instead of the heavier conventional piston powerplant.
Today's model is from Amercom and is in 1:72 scale diecast. It is the
Aérospatiale Alouette II from the Armee de Terre in 1972. It's not a bad build for a very budget style model.

That thing is awesome, reminds me of the Bell 47, I know they're very different but there's definite similarities. My dad was in the Sherrif's department in SO CAL when I was a kid & he got to fly along in thier Bell 47 a few times. I love that little helicopter . Really dig this one too👌

Ah that's awesome, you really have got to see a lot of aircraft where you have lived!!! Yeah I was thinking MASH when I first saw this, which no doubt were the Bell helicopters that the US used in Korea. Hopefully some one makes one of those with some stretchers in 1:72 diecast!! This thing though seems so fragile that I felt like I was about to squash it each time I touched it,haha
