Estoy muy feliz de saber esto!!! Realmente es un sintetizador genial y divertido de usar!! Pronto haré otros episodios con súper clásicos del pasado!! Muchas gracias por apreciar este vídeo :) :) :)
This video was amazing in every way. Me being an 80s baby I grew up with programs like Airwolf, knightrider, street hawk, Ateam and the 80s music etc plus you taught me how to play all of these so thank you very much. Keep making these type of videos 👏
THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH, JAMES!!!!! You don't know what a great happiness it is for me to know all this... it's always a wonderful thing when you can convey your passion with what you do!!! I thank you again for your wonderful comment and I hope to make a new episode soon :) :) :)
I didn't think you could get this close to the original sounds without the aid of plugins, especially the fullness of the Oberheim brass, which is astounding!
It's a real pleasure to hear that you found these sounds very rich... fortunately, being able to put 4 different sounds on the CS1x to create the preset (each with its own specific settings), it can come very close to analog synths. Thanks again Metalltool, for appreciating my work in this video :) :) :)
REALLY FANTASTIC, MAN!!!! It's a real joy to know that you liked my work on this new video and that it gave you good feelings!!! Thanks again for everything, my friend :) :) :)
Nice video about the instrument of the era, nice touch too with the 90s style video presentation, music and even background hiss and interference of an old VHS tape.
WOOOWWWW!!!!! I'm so glad you appreciated all the details and the idea of this new video... it was so much fun putting into practice everything I've learned in these years both in music and graphics!!! Thank you very very much Andrew, for your super compliments :) :) :)
I love that you added in the tape noise in the background, perfect editing on this video. I noticed the keyboard uses a DC Jack for power, I always thought this model had a built in PSU and used a IEC style cable to power the keyboard, I very well could be getting it confused with another Yamaha model, I know they made other keyboards that look virtual the same only they are grey in color.
THANK YOU SO MUCH, KRISTIAN!!!! I'm enormously pleased that you appreciated how I recreated the atmosphere for this video... I've always been a big fan of audio and video tapes and the way TV programs/commercials were created back then!!! I think I understand which synth you are referring to, the CS6x has an IEC socket and is silver/grey... a fantastic synth!! Thanks again man, for your awesome compliments :) :) :)
@@KOSmusicovers I almost had a Yamaha cs6x I seen at pawn shop in 2015, but at the time I didn't have the money, when I went back to buy it a few weeks later it was gone, I ended up with Korg Trinity Pro instead

FABULOUS!!!!!!! I'm really happy to know this!!! For me too it was my first synth and I still remember when I got it as a gift in 1998... it was a surprise that took my breath away!! Thank you again for your lovely comment and I wish you super fun with your CS1x :) :) :)

Great video, I saw the CS1x in a music fair when Yamaha introduced it, bought one immediately brand new, it was my fourth or sixth synth, and I used it a lot. Still have it and it is in a stand with my AN1x which I got later as used.
THANKS A LOT, ARI!!!!! Fantastic... how lucky to have been able to participate in the presentation of the CS1x... I too, have owned it since 1998 (purchased new)!!! Love the "Simitar Entertainment" music in the intro. I used to watch a video called "Top Gun Jets" all the time when I was a kid and that music would always get my fired up for what I was about to watch. I was so happy when I was able to rediscover that tape when I finally found it about 15 years ago and I've rewatched it many times since (it's on YT, btw). Even going so far as to find the original tracks of some of the music used on the tape. I would sure love it if a composer were to rescore those songs so I could hear them without radio chatter and jet engine noise (wink, wink).
What a great joy to know that you liked my tribute to this logo!!!! Oh yes, I found the video you speak of and I remember watching them too, these kind of technical documentaries on videotape in the 90's... I love this kind of video!! :D ROGER! I add this idea to my list and I thank you again for everything, my dear friend :) :) :)
Some excellent tones on show here! 👀 I've got it's younger sibling the CS2X in the loft for 10 years in need of repair.... This video has made me want to get it out for a summer project. Great video with top 80s vibes 🔥

Nice video, cool sounds! I have one of these badboys collecting dust in my bedroom. I'm not a keyboard player, and I only bought it in the hope I would be able to use it as a GM/XG module to bring back some of my very old compositions originally created with a combination of a Yamaha SW60 sound card and a Roland XP10 (still have it) back in the late 90s. So far I've done absolutely nothing with the CS1x (besides checking that it works), and I must've had it for five years now... 😄
I love my CS1x.I only retired it five or six years ago when some of the keys started acting up.i remember discovering the second set of presets,it was an epiphany.I wrote a whole tune out of the wish u preset. The CS1x had great versions of 808 and 909 drum kits as well.Fantastic job on the video, love the VHS effect,so in keeping with the CS1x time line.Excellent job Kos and Kat
SUPER FANTASTIC!!!!! To receive a magnificent comment like this from another CS1x owner is really fabulous!!! Mine too, some time ago, had a key that sometimes didn't play and I solved it by cleaning the contacts of the PCB board and the silicone part. Unbelievable, the same thing happened to me a long time ago, that I discovered that there was a second bank of presets with beautiful sounds!! One of the things I would have liked on the CS1x would have been an extra bank to be able to store personal presets, instead of overwriting existing ones. GREAT!!! Me too, I compose original music with him :) Oh yes, the Drum machine sounds are really stunning too!! A huge thank you from me and my wife for your awesome comment :) :) :)
FABULOUS!!!!! I'm very happy that you liked these sounds!!!! Yamaha had managed to make really good products with the CSx series... in the next episode there will be other sounds of super classic 80's songs, recreated with him!! Thanks again Rod, for appreciating my new video :) :) :)
Awesome as usual Kos. The intro and theming is outstanding... I absolutely loved it. The special mention to me was very kind...but I need to come clean to everybody watching and say I hardly did anything! Kos has a generous spirit, and yes...your English is fine. You remain a great inspiration to me in this field of 80s music and I hope this video series is a massive success for you... you thoroughly deserve it. Also it was very interesting to see what you've been able to do with the CS1x.

Being able to count on your help and great availability was something truly unique and I hope that other music lovers of the past come to see your channel because you really deserve it!!!! Thank you very much Redford music, for your beautiful comment :) :) :)
It’s April 2023. As I have spent nearly half a decade remarking, this could’ve been my first synthesizer. It was one of the economical models that were on the market in February 1997 when I was 17 and was given my first synthesizer. I chose the Alesis QS6 for being the most affordable one, but I quickly figured out what a mistake that was. Its Keyboard and its MIDI implementation were the real pluses; despite having 64-note polyphony, its sound engine was more lo-fi than an 8-bit sample playback model.
Hello KOS and KAT ! Very great honnor you made for the CS1x, I have already one but i don't use all he's potential, it will be great to post some tutos how to create and store new sound on it, and more 😊

SUPER FANTASTIC!!!!!!! It's great to hear that you enjoyed this particular video inspired by early 90s videotapes!!! I'm really happy to read your special words!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH, RYAN :) :) :)
You have convinced me. I'm going to try to let the machine do a full production. As described in my post below. That is: divide the (virtual) keyboard into 4 sections, running on midi channel 1, containing, drum, bass, lead and a 4th sound. Mute all effects to get channel separation and two mono machines with assigned layers (panned). Mix & fx externally. Possible "general midi" addition on remaining 12 channels. The cs1X has a lot of banks with some useful stuff. Nineties challenge. Full production / live performance in one go, with merely this thing as tone generator and the knobs on the old budget devices. Ready to record on my Minidisc.
I feel like I’m watching a promo video in a tv store. Showcasing to me, the latest technology…. Of the 80’s. Great editing and your sound quality is superb. Keep it up.

:D I have never received so many compliments in one go!!!! I thank you from the bottom of my heart, my friend :) :) :)
Love the old VHS feel
Goosebumps in the intro alone! Great as always!
My first synth!
Still have it and use it frequently!
WONDERFUL!!!!! :) :) :)
Cs1x and an1x are still very underrated.
The An1x is the pinnacle of the game of the time.
After the CS1x, there was the Cs2x and the Cs6x . And at the top of the basket, the An1x. :)
Why should they be underrated? 🤔
@@borlibaer, these are all excellent synthesizers let's just say that the An1x is more advanced. 😉
@Stefan Oberli Especially the CS1x. Two great synthesizers that can do great things. Many years ago, I had tried an AN1x and loved it :)
@@lairdtomfrenchelectromusic2545 I do know, because I finally got all 3 around 2010. As a child I dreamt of CS 80, CS 40M, CS1X and AN1X.
Working in 5D, the master of music and time, magician Kos, manages to extend the dimension of the 80's even further from an unseen part of history into our screens of the future.
GREAT, MY FRIEND!!!!! I'm so happy that you liked the idea of this new video!!!! Thanks again Rickard, for your wonderful words and for your fabulous compliments :) :) :)
I owned the CS6X. What a rich complex beast! Had to let it go, but how many hours of happiness...
GREAT!!!!! Unfortunately I've never had the pleasure of trying the CS6x (I've only tried the AN1x), but I've heard very good things about it :)
My CS1X is just sat in my museum of old cool stuff , tapes , records , 70s and 80s toys , tape players , record players etc
WoW! What a great video! I love the VHS hum and dropouts and especially all the demonstration of that amazing keyboard. It really feels like it's right out of the 80s.
REALLY FABULOUS!!!!! I'm so happy that you liked the effects I created to emulate the legendary VHS format and that you appreciated the part on the CS1x too!!! I hope to be able to do more episodes soon and I thank you for your awesome words, my friend :) :) :)
It's been a long time since I had the CS1x and the AN1x. Both good synthesizers.
My first synth. I am 55 and bought it couple of years ago from a little recording studio in perfect state. Waouh, so happy with it. Remind le that sounds of the past décades, possibilites are numberous. Nice job guys!
FABULOUS!!!!!!! I'm really happy to know this!!! For me too it was my first synth and I still remember when I got it as a gift in 1998... it was a surprise that took my breath away!! Even today, it amazes me what it is possible to create with it and I will happily share my discoveries in the next videos. Thank you again for your lovely comment and I wish you super fun with your CS1x :) :) :)
as soon as JUMP kicks in, I'm back in the 80's!!!
Had one when I was a kiddo and miss it dearly, watched this video and just picked up one off eBay! Thank u for reminding me how great this rompler synth truly is!
WHAT AWESOME NEWS, MICK!!!!! I've had mine since 1998 (I've always had a lot of fun with it) and it's always nice to meet a fan of this great synth!!! I'm preparing more videos like this full of classic sounds from 70s-80s-90s movies and music that I will share with CS1x owners!! I'm really happy that you own it again and I hope you spend happy hours with it :) Thank you again for your beautiful comment!!!
Oh yes, the AN1x is a wonderful synthesizer too and it's always a great pleasure to meet other fans of these Yamaha classics :) I'll be making more CS1x videos soon, with more 80's presets!! Thanks again for writing to me, man :) :) :)
0:57 reminds me of the opening scenes in Terrahawks
WOOWWWW!!!!! It's a great honor for me to know that that part reminded you of the fantastic TV series Terrahawks!!! Thank you very much for your beautiful compliment :) :) :)
Usually a video has one main thing that makes it so good....KOSmusic's videos have the music AND the production that make them amazing.
These are words and compliments that fill the heart with enormous joy!!! Thank you so much my friend, to appreciate what I do :) :) :)
Cs6x or CS6R is the king from this family! Everything is improved to the max! You can add an extra AN1x card to it too!
Oh yes, the CS6x is the top of the line and it's a really incredible synth... but the first love is never forgotten (the CS1x is the first synth I had in the late 90's) :) :) :)
great job well done, I was instantly transported back to a time when synths ruled the world cannot wait for the next instalment👍
THANK YOU SO MUCH, COLIN!!!!! It's a real joy to know that you liked this video and that it gave you these sensations!!! You're absolutely right, I've always loved the way composers in those years exploited the potential of synthesizers... absolutely incredible masterpieces!! I hope to be able to make the second episode soon, rich of 80's classics :) :) :)
I own one and this video made me to explore this instrument more! Thank you.
Marek, Poland
FABULOUS!!!!! I'm really glad to hear this!!! I've had this beautiful synth since 1998 and it's always a pleasure to use it!!! On my website I share the SysEx files I create for free kosmusicovers.altervista.org/cs1x-presets I hope to upload more episodes I'm working on soon!! Thanks again and a big hello :) :) :)
EXCELLENT! Loved the retro intro, too! Paying homage to those before us is very important.
WONDERFUL!!!!! I'm really pleased you enjoyed that animation!!!! Absolutely yes, the history of everything is always important!!! Thanks again for appreciating my new work :) :) :)
God i love synths, and also the AN1x
I know that Toby Smith from Jamiroquai used one on the Traveling Without Moving record and subsequent tour. Some very cool sounds indeed.
Sick video! Truly remarkable job for the production and feeling. Everything reminds me of my youth and movies from VHS.
WOOWWWW... I'm so happy to know this!!! It's fantastic that you had this feeling with my video!! Thanks again Crowmoor, for all your awesome compliments :) :) :)
Excellent video!
THANK YOU SO MUCH, VEE!!!!! It is a real pleasure to know that you enjoyed my new work!!! :) :) :)
Please. do more of this. you are a super reflection of the 80's. i love your content
It's really a joy to know that you liked this idea!!! I hope to create the next episode soon with other super classics from the 80s!!! Thank you very much for your awesome compliments and for your support, my friend!!!! :) :) :)
This is simply amazing, you are a wizard in recreating the 80s vibe ❤
OH THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH DAVE, FOR YOUR INCREDIBLE COMPLIMENTS!!!!! You made me really happy :) :) :)
80s magic! Unbeatable
Love the music, love the video editing. So much love and talent here, I’m astounded.
REALLY FABULOUS, MAN!!!! It's an immense pleasure to know that you appreciated everything in this new video... it makes me really happy!!!! Thank you of heart Gerar, for your super compliments :) :) :)
@@KOSmusicovers Thank you sir for creating these videos!
FABULOUS!!!!! I'm very pleased this video has made you want to get your CS2x back up and running... they are two really excellent synthesizers!!! When your CS2x is working again, you can upload my presets in SysEx format (available on my website: kosmusicovers.altervista.org/cs1x-presets )... I hope to be able to make another video soon with other classics of the past!! Thanks again for everything, Darius and I wish you good work with your CS2x :) :) :)
We've entered a new era of KOSmusic.
And I'm all about it! This is great.
:D FANTASTIC, MY FRIEND!!!!! It is an immense joy to know that you liked this new idea so much!!! Thank you of heart my friend, for your awesome words :) :) :)
I guess many people around the world found a second hand and bought it after Your great videos.
:D
These are seriously good recreations of the original sounds. I didn't know a 90s digital synth could sound that good.
I was really curious to know what you thought of the full video and it's a huge gratification for me to know that you enjoyed the whole work!!! Being able to count on your help and great availability was something truly unique and I hope that other music lovers of the past come to see your channel because you really deserve it!!!! I thank you again my dear friend, for your always special support and for all your incredible words that made me even happier... A big hug, Julian!!!!! I wish you many new wonderful recreations :) :) :)
one of Yamaha's great synths
Boom!! Love the intro, extremely retro.
That’s my day sorted And that’s one awesome board.
THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH, MY DEAR FRIEND!!!!! I'm really happy that you appreciated the introduction inspired by the 90's "Simitar" logo and that you liked the idea I had for this new video!!! :) :) :)
Just bought one
Had this synth 20 years ago
Regretted selling it ever since
But picked one up on reverb today
Looking forward to getting it🎹😎
REALLY FANTASTIC, ANDY... WHAT NEWS!!!!! So you will get the CS1x back and I'm sure you will have a blast with it!!! Soon I will make other episodes with other presets to download on my website :) :) :)
This is awesome. I own one just sitting in a corner of my studio. I'll have to hook it up again!
Btw, I love your video's. The first one I saw was your Airwolf video. The nostalgic feelings overwhelmed me and I instantly missed that 80's era. Well done. Keep making these!
Mine’s collecting dust (oops). Yup, gotta deep clean it and set it up!
WOOOWWWWW!!!!! It's a real joy to know that you appreciated this video and that you like my works!!! I had a lot of fun making the Airwolf cover and I'm really glad you liked it :) GREAT!! I hope you will use your CS1x again... it really deserves it!!! In the next episode, there will be other sounds of past classics, recreated with the CS1x (again including presets in SysEx format). Thank you very much Redford music, for your beautiful comment :) :) :)
@@KOSmusicovers Looking forward to the next episodes!
Nice!!!🍻
Absolutely, fantastically brilliant!
GRANDE!!!!! Grazie mille per il magnifico apprezzamento!!! :) :) :)
@@KOSmusicovers Figuratevi. Quando merita, merita! Buon fine settimana.
Hello KOS and KAT ! Very great honnor you made for the CS1x, I have already one but i don't use all he's potential, it will be great to post some tutos how to create and store new sound on it, and more 😊
Hello Gilles!! We are really happy that you liked this video dedicated to the fantastic CS1x!!! Oh yes, in the future, I'll make an episode where I explain how to create and save a custom preset... in the meantime I've created a manual where I explain how to import presets in SysEx format to the CS1x (available on my website: kosmusicovers.altervista.org/cs1x-presets ) :) Thanks again for everything, from me and my wife :) :) :)
@@KOSmusicovers Thanks a lot KOS !! It's perfect !
really fun video and great sounds, probably the best tribute this synth will ever get in its history.
WOOWWWW!!!!!! I really thank you of heart Neon, for your wonderful compliments!!! :) :) :)
nice work! keep em comin
MANY MANY THANKS, SUPER VETTE!!!! It is really a great joy to know that you liked this idea!!! :) :) :)
A fantastic video as always. Love the retro Eighties style format to the video as well. You're a legend, mate.
SUPER WOOOWWWW!!!!! It is a great pleasure to know that you appreciated the way I created this video!!!! Thanks again my friend, for your kindness and for your wonderful compliments :) :) :)
Video PAZZESCO KOS!
OMG...from the very first second of that cheesy VHS production logo opening...a work of genius! Kos, you keep knocking it out of the park! To say I'm impressed would be a gargantuan understandment!
Awesome... real '80-s feeling... 😎
REALLY FABULOUS!!!!! I'm so happy to know this!!! Thank you very much, Attila :) :) :)
Excellent!!! Really outstanding.
THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH, COLIN!!!!! :) :) :)
I feel like I’m watching a promo video in a tv store. Showcasing to me, the latest technology…. Of the 80’s. Great editing and your sound quality is superb. Keep it up.
WONDERFUL!!!!! What a huge joy to know that my video had this effect on you and it really makes me like you enjoyed everything!!!! Thank you so much for your amazing words :) :) :)

Great stuff!!!

I like how the AI voice couldn't make up it's 'mind' if it should be called a 'Synthesizer" (2:40) or a "Sithetizer (2:58) or "Synthetizer" (3:35) 😂
lol
@MacXpert74 :D I hadn't noticed this... I missed this voice translator error!!
Awesome work! this synth is a beast
THANKS A LOT, UNTRUST :) :) :) Yeah, the CS1x has so many beautiful sounds and endearing aesthetics!!!
Wow, that Simitar theme at the beginning brings back memories! Amazing video as always!

Great work guys. I just have to say that besides the music that you have done in this episode all i can now hear in my head is the training videos and the documentary videos that i used to watch as a kid. Ahh the memories. Keep up the good work.

Felice che questo tuo progetto abbia successo! Complimenti, è tutto fantastico, a cominciare dalle grafiche 😮
Ho tre sintetizzatori, l'ultimo l'ho acquistato pochi giorni fa...
SUPER WOOWWWW...
Beautiful sounds. Thanks!
Thanks to you Paul, for appreciating my new video!!!! :) :) :)

GREAT... It is really fabulous to know this!!!! I will be doing the extended version of my Airwolf version soon :) :) :)
Nice and the bit of the music of Airwolf I recognised was from the Firestorm episode from season 2

Finally got to it and ordered a CS1x, I always wanted one after watching and listening to your videos! I hade to check this video out again to make the wait more barrable! :D
GREAT NEWS, MARTIN!!!!! I'm really happy to know this!!! It's a wonderful synth full of beautiful sounds. I must say that he always amazes me with what he manages to do!! I'm preparing other episodes with other super classics from the past (even 70s soundtracks) and the function of being able to use four distinct sounds at the same time is truly amazing, you can literally sculpt the sound you have in mind!! Thanks again for writing to me :) :) :)
Love your disclaimer at the start. I must admit looking at a CS1x before buying a Yahama P121.
:D I'm really glad you read it and you liked it!!!! Fantastic... I'm very happy to know this, the P-121 is an excellent digital piano!!! Thanks again for everything, David :) :) :)
